Clara Grant stopped and turned around to see her department director, who was staring at her with a very stern expression.
'A sense of foreboding washed over me.' She had been so focused on dealing with Chloe Grant that she'd momentarily forgotten—the teachers and administrators could also see that article and the photos on the school forum.
But Clara Grant quickly composed herself. 'If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear. I didn't do it, and that's that. Surely the school administration wouldn't condemn me as some kind of promiscuous girl based on a few photos and deliberately misleading captions, would they?'
'It was just… I hadn't even had a chance to use the restroom yet.'
Clara Grant ignored the many pairs of eyes fixed on her from the classroom doorway. She looked at the director and asked calmly, "Director Conway, may I use the restroom first?"
