Faye Jennings glanced at Clara Grant, then shook off Sandra's hand. "Sandra, what do you think you're doing?" she demanded. "What kind of bitter feud do you have with Clara? At the end of the day, isn't it just about her taking your role? No matter how wronged you feel, you can't go around hitting people!
"Besides, that was a long time ago. Clara is always respectful to you on set. She hasn't gloated about getting the part or made any snide remarks to your face. Yet you're still holding a grudge. If people see this, won't they say you're being petty for a senior actress, always picking on a newcomer?"
On the surface, Faye Jennings's words seemed to be a reprimand for Sandra, but if one listened closely, every sentence was actually an expression of indignation on Sandra's behalf.
Wasn't she implying that it was a fact Clara Grant had stolen Sandra's role, and that Sandra was justified in feeling wronged?
