Clara Grant blushed at his words. "Okay, then I'll be waiting for you to come pick me up yourself tomorrow."
She quickly added, "Alright, I've got something to do here, so I can't talk anymore. I'm hanging up."
On the other end, Seth Quinn sounded a little disappointed. "But we've only been talking for a few minutes..."
"I'll be back tomorrow, and then we can talk face-to-face as much as you want." Clara Grant glanced up at Skylar Hayes, who was walking past her toward the kitchen, and lowered her voice to soothe him, sounding as if she were coaxing a pouting child.
"Besides, I'll have a surprise for you."
Hearing this, Seth Quinn, though still reluctant, agreed. "Alright then. See you tomorrow!"
"Mhm, see you tomorrow," Clara Grant said before hanging up.
Skylar Hayes, though busy, had been paying attention to her. Seeing her hang up, she walked over and said with a doting smile, "Since you want to give Seth a surprise, you should hurry and go."
