"Let go! Let go of me!" Liam Valerius cried out in agony.
"Liam Valerius, what about our Keith! Was there ever any room in your heart for him!" Julia Keane shrieked, her eyes bloodshot, her grip on Liam unrelenting.
Damien Valerius watched the farce with cold detachment, Julia Keane's shrill voice grating on his ears.
'At least his little wildcat never makes a scene like this,' he mused. 'She's the type to act first and never waste time on shouting.'
He was, however, genuinely surprised that Dylan Valerius was Liam and Nancy Nash's son. The eldest son hooking up with his young stepmother—it was a classic, melodramatic plot straight out of *Thunderstorm*, happening right here in the Valerius residence.
Damien, who usually felt nothing for the old man, now found himself feeling a flicker of sympathy for his father.
