Listening to them, Wyatt Winslow was at a loss for what to do. He ended up driving to a hotel and booking three rooms.
Holly Winslow gave the room key to Mortimer Quincy, gesturing for him to go to bed first. Then, she followed Wyatt Winslow into his room and asked tentatively in a low voice, "Dad, are you angry?"
Wyatt Winslow glanced at her, took off his glasses, his helplessness mixed with some other emotion. "You're still young. You don't understand."
'From an adult's perspective, the only words that came to mind were 'immature' and 'disobedient.'
But he didn't know that Holly Winslow and Mortimer Quincy were not children anymore.
"Dad, I do understand."
Holly Winslow nodded earnestly, sat down beside him, and added, "I know you're worried I won't end up with him, worried I won't have a good life, worried I'll end up like you."
