Nora's POV
"What do toddlers drink? I should probably grab something for Elodie since she's over a year old now."
Three dots appear and vanish before Ophelia responds with another voice message.
"Water maybe? Apple juice? I always see babies drinking milk in movies."
I record another message back. "I'm completely clueless about kids. I need to drag myself to the store. See you tonight?"
"Definitely. Don't expect any gifts though."
Her final voice message makes me chuckle as I climb out of bed.
I slip into a black t-shirt and jeans, lace up my favorite combat boots, and fasten the delicate silver necklace James bought me during our honeymoon trip to California.
The necklace settles perfectly above my breasts. James admitted he chose it as an excuse to admire my chest, which made me roll my eyes and remind him excuses weren't necessary. Despite his ridiculous reasoning, the jewelry is beautiful and I adore wearing it.
