Nora's POV
"What the hell brings you to my doorstep?" My wine glass hits the porch railing with such force that liquid splashes across the wooden surface.
"You already know the answer to that question," Katherine declares, halting at the boundary of my protective barriers. "Don't pretend this conversation needs to be more complicated than it already is."
"Complicated how exactly?" I leap down the porch steps in one fluid motion. "By expecting you to behave like a rational person instead of some deranged stalker? Though I suppose rational behavior would be challenging for someone like you."
Katherine extends her palm, examining the intricate spells woven into my protective circle around the house.
"Drop the innocent act right now, Nora Sutton."
