Nora's POV
I let my bag slide to the floor as I step into the foyer and flip on the lights. My three familiars wait on the staircase like a welcoming committee, while Zerra bounces around in her golden retriever puppy form, her glamour collar working perfectly.
"She hasn't gotten any bigger," Antonia observes, staring down at the enthusiastic puppy.
"I know." I kick off my heels and crouch to stroke Zerra's fur, which earns me an annoyed hiss from Evangeline. "Don't be jealous," I tell the fox-turned-cat. "I'm just trying to settle her down." Zerra presses against my legs, her tongue darting out to lick my palm. "Ophelia mentioned it too. I need to figure out how to modify the glamour so she appears to age normally."
"Why not just remove the collar?" James suggests from behind us.
