Asher stood up and walked to the centre of the room. Ariel followed suit .they now stood facing each.while Asher's expression was unreadable, Ariel's was pure hatred and mockery with a hint of despise,the mansion Stewart then began
"We are gathered here citizens of Orion city to establish the long term engagement of young master Asher Raziel of the white tiger sect and lady Ariel luverne of the stormblade sect, through this union both sects will be able to advance faster in many fields as well as strengthening the bond between the 2 powerful sects
He paused to allow the patriarch to make his remarks . Vic did not waste anytime he ordered for the engagement papers to be brought.As soon as he said it two smartly dressed servants appeared each holding a transparent glass cuboid box of about 3 cm thickness containing each two sheets of dull golden brown paper and a quill pen with a bottle of ink, they slowly made their way forward and placed the boxes on a table beside the two.they then bowed respectfully and dispersed.the engagement papers made Asher's heart to skip a beat.

Asher chuckled coldly and shot her daggers

Ariel smiled ,"is this bastard trying to toy with me I will rip his cute face to smithereens if he doesn't speak !!" She soliloqized
"No reason at all I just wanted to know ", she regarded him with a colder smile
Vic was about to intervene when Asher raised his hand to show a firm decline he turned to look at Ariel once more this time his expression had softened
"Then if you must know I am level 5 elder bronze core apprentice mage " he retorted firmly.in an instant the hall blew up into murmurs .so it was true the once genius of the raziel clan had lost his powers and could not cultivate anymore. Ariel had a triumphant smile on her face , unlike him she was a Marquis level 9 gold core intermediate mage. The difference in levels was really high
While he had only reached the 6 th level of qi condensation, Ariel had reached the 13 th level two more levels and she would break through to qi establishment . The murmurs in the room had increased and had become louder than before

The thunderous voice of the patriarch boomed shutting down everyone,once he was done Ariel kowtowed to him three times then she looked up

Everyone remained silent to hear the patriarch's verdict.Vic sighed heavily then he began

Before he could finish Asher cut him off sharply while bowing
"Father do not beg for me please it is not right for a person like you to do such an embarrassing act" Ariel scoffed disapprovingly
He turned to her his eyes displaying a killer's gaze
"Lady Ariel you say am not worthy of you correct, well l Asher Raziel of the white tiger sect declare a challenge on you Ariel luverne!!"
Everyone was shocked.was the young master mad or something?!
Ariel laughed mockingly
"What challenge do you pose young master?",she retorted haughtily
"I swear that at the end of three years I will come back stronger and more powerful and when I do I will cancel our engagement and the stormblade sect will have nothing to do with the white tiger sect " ,he retorted loudly making everyone gasp
"If you fail you are hereby banished from the continent of Epsilon and the white tiger sect shall be taken over by the stormblade sect " she countered
"Done",was his firm response
Asher then drew out a dagger and sliced his palm the rich crimson liquid oozed on the paper in drops he then took it and threw it at her feet
She looked at him angrily

He cut her off answering calmly
"Lady Ariel lets meet again afte 3 years"
Lady Ariel together with her servants and guards turned and left
