Chapter 112 - Dinner Invitation

Evening, Solliden Farmstead. The news of the Naga's retreat had spread out; although vigilance is still needed, the civilians are all celebrating.

Praise for Prince Arthas can be heard everywhere—His Highness the Prince had arrived, and now the Naga are retreating!

Arthas is applying sauce to the golden grilled fish on the barbecue with a brush while stirring a pot of wild vegetable chicken stew to prevent it from burning.

Yes, he is cooking. He has invited four dragon ambassadors over for dinner tonight, along with his nieces Bridget and Calia. Calia is in the living room brewing tea to entertain these guests, exuding a gentle demeanor with a faint smile, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Her soft-spoken elegance leads to a joyful chat with the four ambassadors.

Occasionally, her eyes glance at her brother, filled with delight and pride. This journey has opened her eyes so much, having tasted the flavor of killing and witnessed bloodshed; she is no longer like a flower in a greenhouse, appearing much more womanly.

"Alright, dinner is ready," Arthas calls out, gathering everyone.

These dishes are all from the system's built-in cooking menu. He has tried it; as long as there are enough ingredients and tools, he can produce delicious results. Even if one doesn't know how to cook, following the steps will lead to good meals. For top-notch cuisine, one will need to put in some effort to improve and practice.

However, for Arthas, this is already sufficient; he's not a professional chef, so why would he need to make it that delicious? There are chefs for those tasks, and he has many other things to do.

"I didn't know you could cook, Your Highness, so I'll take advantage of it," Chromie said, tearing off a chicken drumstick and taking a bite, her eyes instantly shining.

"Delicious!"

Seeing Chromie's reaction, the other three beautiful ambassadors began eating as well. After their first bite, their eyes lit up as well! Delicious! They soon began to eat faster, almost competing for the food!

Calia usually eats slowly, but after trying her brother's cooking, her eyes also brightened, and she started eating much faster. Forgetting her ladylike demeanor, she just wanted to eat—it was too good! She almost swallowed her tongue; if it was good, she wanted to eat more!

Vanessa also sat down to eat, but kept a distance. Arthas's side was already occupied by Bridget and Calia; there was no room for her. The only time she could cuddle him was at night, when she could hug to him sleep, countless noble maidens would be jealous of her. Thinking of this made her exceptionally happy.

One meal was simply not enough; Arthas barely ate and had to cook again. The few stunning beauties looked at him with a sense of anticipation, as if they wanted to squeeze him dry—too terrifying!

After a busy night, Arthas finally sat on the sofa, drinking juice without any elegance.

"Good juice!"

"Oh, I didn't expect your culinary skills to be quite good. Has Onyxia ever tasted your cooking?" Chromie teased with a smile.

"Who is Onyxia?" Bridget raised an eyebrow, feeling somewhat sensitive about the mention of Arthas's other women, almost like a rival. "My spouse. She's the new Queen of the Black Dragons, a Dragon Aspect" Arthas admitted generously, showing no embarrassment.

"A dragon?" Bridget found it hard to grasp that the Prince's spouse was a dragon.

"Don't worry, Arthas won't have just one spouse," Chromie said dismissively. Having multiple spouses is normal for those with ability; many dragons do this, and most of them are female dragons. Of course, she does not include herself in this—she has little interest in the idea romance.

"Haha, Chromie is right! By the way, Chromie, are you interested in doing a business deal together? How about establishing an adventurer's tavern in my territory, where we can post some quests? And you can help me with one thing first. Use your power to showcase your greatest talent. Accelerate the time of these jars, let their time go to fifty—forget that, let's say twenty years later!" Arthas took out a jar that looked somewhat ordinary.

Chromie's demeanor turned serious as she looked at Arthas, her eyes showing some change, "What is inside? Is it something powerful?"

"Um, just follow what I said for now," Arthas replied without explanation, letting Chromie act first. His words sparked curiosity among the women; what exactly was this? Could it be something sealed? At this thought, Tarecgosa couldn't help but prepare her staff for combat.

Only Emeriss held her back, shaking her head, "Stay calm! Look at His Highness, there's no danger." The green dragons are very perceptive, intelligent, and observant.

If considered merely sleeping dragons, one would be mistaken; green dragons are known for their temper. A jar is a kind of container—undoubtedly, it is just a container, but it also serves as a seal, a curse.

Whoever picks it up may lose their soul and be governed by a will—encompassing all, each person can only record themselves and cannot escape.

Though they appear quite ordinary, merely jars, the surface is smooth, with only the side facing the bronze dragon feeling cold like a corpse. As Chromie felt the air grow still, she could even hear the jars breathing slightly, but it sounded nothing like living beings—heavy, oppressive, dry, dull, exuding the foul heat of decay, whispering lightly in a suffocating manner.

Chromie solemnly harnessed her time power magic, the mysterious yellow glow shining brightly in the living room. The power of time slowly worked on the jars, enveloping these potentially evil containers. Wiping away sweat, Chromie wiped away the nonexistent moisture, opened her eyes, "Alright, I'm done. Now can you tell me what's inside?"

"You really mean twenty years?"

"Don't doubt my ability! Twenty years is just right—not a second more!" Chromie showed her adorable little tiger teeth, looking as if she might pounce and bite Arthas at any moment. That cute appearance, in no way resembled a dragon; it had a touch of charming cuteness!
