Chapter 27 - Urien

Even though Winnie was still half-skeptical of Emrys' claims, the more pressing issue at hand was to verify whether what he said was true!

If it really was a Daemon Engine, then she would have to consider whether to use her mentor Gransoll's connections to send out a distress signal to an Astartes Chapter.

A Daemon Engine... was not something the Astra Militarum could handle!

But then, another serious problem appeared before Winnie.

How was she going to get there?

The path to the Daemon Engine's factory was littered with numerous Chaos Servitors.

It would be very difficult for an individual to stealthily infiltrate the core of the factory without alarming the heretic cult.

"Can your armor fly me over?"

Winnie's thoughts turned to Emrys; since he hadn't been discovered by the Chaos Servitors, taking one more person shouldn't be a problem, right?

"Yes, as long as you don't mind."

Emrys didn't care.

"Why should I mind?"

Winnie glanced at him, scoffing, "You wouldn't think that I, as a warrior of the God-Emperor, would care about gender like a common person, would you? That is merely an act of cowardice!"

She graduated from the Schola Progenium, came from the noble Winslet family, and was educated from a young age to dedicate everything to the Emperor.

Moreover, in the Inquisitor's code, impetuousness was most taboo.

As long as the Emperor's mission could be accomplished, and the heretic cult exterminated, personal feelings should be cast aside!

Emrys gave a self-deprecating laugh.

He almost forgot that while Winnie was very beautiful, at her core... she was an Imperial Inquisitor!

After Winnie got on his back, Emrys didn't forget to remind her, "Inquisitor, please hold on tight, otherwise it wouldn't be good if you were thrown off."

Winnie wrapped her arms around his neck, her legs, without any grace, clamped around his waist like a crab: "I'm holding on tight."

Truly an Inquisitor!

Emrys praised in his heart, then cautiously avoided the Chaos Servitors along the route he had come.

Before long, the two infiltrated the core of the factory.

That terrifying creation, huge, twisted, and blasphemous like an ancient giant scorpion, was gradually having its outer shell piping completed by the tireless work of the slaves on the assembly line.

"It really is a Daemon Engine!"

The moment Winnie saw the creation, she was convinced that it was indeed a demonic construct, and judging from its appearance, it should be a Predator of the Blood God... a Brass Scorpion!

According to the Inquisition's terminology, it should be a 'Alpha Brass Scorpion,' or a 'Scorpion Colossus.' In related data, it was one of the largest Daemon Engines in the Imperium's history!

Standing nearly thirty meters tall, it was considered huge even among the Daemon data known to the Imperium. Furthermore, according to the information in the data, this type of Daemon Engine moved quickly and agilely, excelling at attacking static defensive positions!

On its blood-colored metal shell were inscribed twisted Chaos runes, a blessing from the Warp, which could not only defend against psychic powers, but even the main cannon of a Leman Russ tank would be unable to inflict any damage upon it!

And from Winnie's professional perspective, she understood more than Emrys.

This 'Supreme Brass Scorpion' Daemon Engine was only one step away from completion: the power engine imprisoning the daemon!

Once the imprisoned daemon core was embedded, it would become a fearsome War Machine!

"This is a big problem..."

Winnie bit her lip lightly, a hint of regret welling up in her eyes.

She suddenly began to doubt if she really... should follow her mentor's approach?

If it were Inquisitor Gransoll handling this, he would probably have sent out distress signals to the surrounding Astra Militarum and Astartes Chapters the moment the tech-priest reported the matter, right?

No, it's not too late now!

Winnie re-solidified her wavering resolve.

"Inquisitor, what do we do next?"

Emrys asked for the opinion of the person on his back.

Winnie lowered her voice and said to him, "Don't alarm them. I've already recorded the situation here with my rosarius. We'll retreat... I will send out a plea for help to the surrounding star systems in the name of an Inquisitor."

"A plea for help?"

Emrys frowned, not believing this was the best option: "Please forgive my rudeness, Inquisitor, but shouldn't the immediate course of action be to destroy this Daemon Engine?"

"Do you think I don't want to?!"

Winnie rolled her eyes at him, annoyed, "Do you know what a 'Daemon Engine' is? That thing's shell, even if a Leman Russ came, it might not be able to penetrate it. With just the two of us, how are we going to destroy it?"

"But if we don't destroy this Daemon Engine now, by the time reinforcements arrive, the entire hive capital will be wiped out by the heretic cult!"

Emrys shook his head, stating his objection.

Given the Imperium's rescue speed, even with a direct order from an Inquisitor, it would take at least a month, and possibly several months.

In the current situation, let alone a month, the heretic cult would launch a full-scale attack on the hive capital in at most half a month, or even a few days. They didn't have that much time!

Winnie was almost amused by this damned lower hive, pointing at the Chaos construct and muttering, "Open your eyes and look closely! Those blasphemous runes on its shell are a blessing from the Chaos Blood God. You think you can destroy it?"

"I know, it's the Blood God's blessing."

Emrys licked his lips; not only did he show no fear, but he even looked a little excited, a hint of chilling madness vaguely visible in his eyes.

"You... you wouldn't really have a way, would you?"

Winnie's eyes widened, and a glimmer of hope suddenly emerged.

Could it be that this guy was truly blessed by the Emperor?

"Yes, but this method... has a tiny bit of risk."

Emrys, of course, knew how hard Daemon Engine defenses were, but he already had a countermeasure.

"A... bit? Are you sure?"

After the previous few lessons, Winnie now had a bit of a 'once bitten, twice shy' complex.

"Inquisitor, do we have any other choice now?" Emrys' calm tone was tinged with a chilling madness: "Either we destroy the Daemon Engine here, or we wait for this Daemon Engine to be completed, and if help doesn't arrive, the entire hive capital will fall!"

"You're right, we're out of time."

Winnie bit her lip tightly, nodding helplessly, clearly convinced: "If we can destroy the Daemon Engine, it can at least buy some time for reinforcements!"

Emrys no longer hesitated, taking out a semi-circular, flat, dark green metallic disc from his personal space.

"You're planning to destroy the Daemon Engine with this thing?"

Seeing Emrys' cautious demeanor, Winnie was greatly puzzled and somewhat annoyed: "Emrys, are you joking with me?"

"I'm afraid I'm not joking, lord Inquisitor."

Glancing at the annoyed Inquisitor, Emrys said with unprecedented solemnity, "I cannot tell you the origin of this item for now, but I can confirm that even if this thing cannot destroy the Daemon Engine, it can at least give the heretic cult a headache for a while!"

After seeing his serious expression, which didn't seem feigned, Winnie finally realized that the item might not be as simple as it looked.

Looking at the dark green, flat, circular metal device in his hand, Emrys let out a heavy sigh, a complex expression in his eyes.

The Necron Scarabs.

If he could help it, he would absolutely not have taken them out!

But who would have thought that the heretic cult had secretly forged a Daemon Engine? Since they made the first move, then he wouldn't be blamed for making the second.

At worst, everyone dies together!

Drag the Necrons out, and no one will have an easy time!

"Hope it works."

Emrys directly injected the pre-prepared energy module into the metal disc.

Then, as if throwing a hot potato, fearing that he would be sucked in if he waited half a second longer, he threw it directly at the Daemon Engine.

"That simple?"

Winnie, observing, had a face full of suspicion.

That was a 'Daemon Engine,' a creation from the Chaos Gods. If it could be solved that simply, she would swallow the thing whole on the spot!

"Yes, it's that simple."

Emrys nodded calmly.

The overlords of the Milky Way Galaxy sixty-five million years ago, the technological creations of the Necrons, shouldn't disappoint him, right?

"Now...is the moment to witness a miracle."

Emrys stared intently as the Necron Scarabs arced through the air, precisely landing on the unfinished Daemon Engine.

Clang!

A crisp clanging sound attracted the attention of the Chaos Servitors, who moved their nauseating flesh-and-machine bodies like tiny ants, climbing onto the Daemon Engine to investigate the source of the sound.

"Are you sure...that thing can really work?"

Although Emrys' demeanor suggested the item was quite powerful, Winnie couldn't believe how a palm-sized metal disc could possibly destroy the indestructible Daemon Engine.

"When did I say I was sure it would work?"

Emrys' attention was on the Necron Scarabs, and he was annoyed by the Inquisitor's persistent questions: "If it really doesn't work, I have a Plan B!"

Though Plan B would cause a much bigger commotion!

That would be to go to the Marvel universe and directly transport a few atomic bombs from S.H.I.E.L.D. He refused to believe that if the Daemon Engine, blessed by the Blood God, could withstand them, the factory could also remain unscathed.

When pushed to a dead end, what does the method matter?

Emrys no longer cared about the scale; even if he couldn't destroy the Daemon Engine, he would at least make sure the cult wouldn't have an easy time!

In short, it was one sentence!

Whoever made his life difficult, he would make their life difficult!

As he pondered, the Chaos Servitors found the Necron Scarabs that had fallen onto the Daemon Engine's hatch, picked them up, and seemed to be wondering what they were.

"Hey, are you going to do anything?"

Seeing that the item was ineffective, Winnie grew a bit impatient.

"See, you're rushing again."

Emrys shook his head, signaling her to calm down: "Don't rush, let the bullets fly for a while."

"?"

If it weren't for Galahad's background, Winnie would have drawn her gun already. She rolled her eyes at Emrys and turned to continue observing the situation.

As the Chaos Servitors were examining the flat, dark green metal disc, the core of the metal device suddenly split open, revealing an exquisite metal beetle.

The metal beetle seemed to have just awakened, flapping its two dark green iron wings. The emerald core on its forehead lit up, emitting a somewhat piercing buzzing sound.

Buzz buzz buzz—!

The Chaos Servitors evidently had not yet realized the terrifying nature of the metal beetle and still tried to grab it directly with their hands.

But, at the moment of contact!

The dark green metal beetle suddenly emitted a completely unanalyzable sound, then directly drilled into the Chaos Servitor's body!

Following the flesh-and-machine structure of the arm, it decomposed the Chaos Servitor completely at an almost terrifying speed, in less than a second, leaving not even a speck of dust!

After decomposing the Chaos Servitor, the Necron Scarabs used the extracted biological energy for their self-replication program.

The Necron Scarabs multiplied from one to dozens!

And this was just the beginning!

The proliferated Necron Scarabs targeted the numerous casting equipment, Chaos Servitors, and the unfinished Daemon Engine within the factory.

Buzz buzz buzz!

Like a death storm, the Scarabs devoured and decomposed energy, self-replicated, and continuously repeated the process at an astonishing speed.

The Chaos Servitors were utterly defenseless!

Even the cult's defense system, in the face of the Necrons' creations, seemed like something from primitive times!

This was a one-sided Carnage!

"What... what exactly is this thing?!"

Winnie, observing this scene, was nearly scared into shouting.

"I'll explain it to you when we get out. Now we should run." Looking at the Necron Scarabs wreaking havoc below, multiplying to an astonishing number in less than half a minute, a vast, dark swarm, Emrys was greatly alarmed.

Without waiting for Winnie to speak, he picked her up and flew out of the factory.

"That thing is catching up!!!"

Suddenly, Winnie shrieked in terror.

The piercing buzzing sound from behind surged like a tide.

However, in such a dangerous situation, Emrys remained exceptionally calm: "Hold on tight, I'm going to accelerate!"

Hearing this, Winnie clung to the armor like an octopus, pressing tightly against Emrys.

Boom!!!

All of the armor's energy was supplied to the flight system!

Blazing energy, like fire, formed interlocking Mach rings, spewing from the armor's feet and hands!

The speed was instantly boosted to a higher level!

Deafening sonic booms echoed throughout the factory like thunder, and surging airwaves spread out in layers!

"No, we can't shake them off!"

Winnie, struggling to open her eyes in the powerful airwave storm, saw that the terrifying metal beetles were still following them!

Emrys' heart was calm, unruffled.

After all, they were creations of the Necrons; how could they be easily shaken off by the Mark 5's three times the speed of sound?

"Release flares!"

From both sides of the Mark 5, meteor-like high-temperature flares shot out, illuminating the factory like dazzling fireworks!

But, doing so meant complete exposure!

"Ah ah ah—"

Suddenly, from above the factory, an extremely angry roar came, mixed with bone-chilling resentment and malice.

"Who is it?!"

"Who on earth?!"

"Damn it, how dare you ruin my plans!"

The angry roar could be heard throughout the entire factory.

Enlarged footage showed a young man in a black robe standing on the top floor of the factory, glaring at them.

Emrys knew that person.

Urien Hadley, the cult leader.

The true mastermind behind all of this!

"Stop him!"

"Kill him!!!"

Soon, Urien discovered the armor fleeing through the factory. The commotion was too great, making it difficult not to attract his attention!

Several laser devices immediately targeted Emrys.

"Warning! Locked-on strike detected!"

"Unable to shield! Unable to shield!"

"Estimated strike arrival in three seconds!"

Boom!!!

The defense devices surrounding the top of the factory unleashed a rain-like torrent of blood-red beams, laser fire as dense as raindrops, instantly blocking all escape routes.

"We've been discovered. What do you plan to do now?"

Looking at the metal beetles still relentlessly pursuing them from behind, and the dense laser rain from above, a bitter expression appeared on Winnie's ice-cold face.

This time, it seemed there was truly nowhere to escape!

"Want to make a bet?"

At this moment, Emrys suddenly spoke.

"Bet on what?"

Winnie was somewhat startled, thinking this guy must be crazy!

At a time like this, he still wanted to bet?

"Let's bet..."

Emrys looked up at the dense, rain-like lasers, a slight smile playing on his lips: "We will definitely escape to live, how about it?"

"You..."

Winnie was stunned.

She had never seen anyone like Emrys.

At a moment of life and death, he could still smile!

"I won't die."

Emrys spoke as if to himself, his eyes containing an unsettling madness: "So, do you want to make a bet, a bet that we won't die? The stakes are... if you lose, you'll go on a date with me, Inquisitor!"

"Okay!"

By the Emperor, this is absolutely insane!

Winnie even wondered if she had gone mad, otherwise why would she agree to this guy's increasingly outrageous demands?!

She was an Inquisitor of the Imperium!

How could she agree to go on a date with a lower hive?

But clearly, it was too late to regret it now.

Facing the dense laser rain that almost covered the sky, Emrys, controlling his armor, showed no intention of retreating or dodging, like a petrel soaring in a storm, he charged straight into it!

"Are you crazy?!"

Winnie shrieked in terror!

"We're going to die anyway, why not go a little crazy?!"

If Winnie were to lift her faceplate at this moment, she would surely see Emrys' distorted face and his terrifying blood-red eyes!

"I've got nothing to lose, who's afraid of who?!"

Under the full thrust of the armor, Emrys' angry roar made him like a shooting star, smashing violently forward!

It's over... This was the first thought that popped into Winnie's mind.

But then, a chilling coldness, enough to penetrate bones and even the soul, permeated through the armor.

"Sunday, activate psyker assistance mode!"

Emrys' eyeballs were already bloodshot, and black veins bulged on his forehead, clearly having thrown all side effects and costs to the back of his mind.

The cost? He would only be qualified to pay it if he survived!

As for now?

He only had one thought in his head!

Urien, you're dead, not even the Blood God can save you!

"Assistance mode activated!"

The Mark 5's built-in assistance mode could maximize the efficiency of psionics energy by connecting with Emrys' mind to a great extent, using a more economical method!

The only drawback was that once this mode was activated, it would cause huge damage to the user's mental power!

This was the trump card Tony gave Emrys to use in the most dangerous moments!

The next moment, Emrys' mental power seemed to have received a huge boost, feeling as if he could precisely control every bit of mental power and psyker energy.

Telekinetic Barrier!

His surging mental power merged into the Warp, continuously drawing psyker energy, transforming into an indestructible telekinetic defense!

Though invisible, it was undeniably real!

The invisible telekinetic energy gathered, forming a mirror-like surface with a refractive angle, deflecting all incoming crimson laser strikes in other directions.

Within a few meters around Emrys, it was like an inviolable sacred domain, defending against and deflecting all the dense laser strikes!

"This is... psyker?!"

As an Inquisitor, Winnie had naturally studied relevant knowledge and immediately recognized it as the psychic power!

"Hey, how about that? Didn't expect it, did you?"

Even at this moment, Emrys didn't forget to tease.

"You..." Winnie was almost speechless with him, exasperated: "I won't pursue the issue of you being a psyker for now, but what about those things behind us?"

The crisis was far from over!

Not only had the metal scarabs behind them not been eliminated much by the lasers, but after devouring a large amount of metal and energy, their numbers had actually multiplied several times!

"Then... we can only bet on who has the tougher life!"

Emrys' fierce gaze directly locked onto Urien at the very top of the factory, who also had an angry expression: "It's time... to settle the score!"

Boom!

The scorching energy nozzles retracted, and the tail flame gradually elongated.

Emrys, carrying the terrified Inquisitor, endured the dense lasers with a telekinetic barrier, rocketing upwards from the bottom of the factory like a rocket!

"You, what are you doing?!"

Seeing that Emrys had no intention of escaping and was actually flying towards that person, Winnie immediately screamed in fear.

"That's Urien!"

Emrys stared intently at the man and said in a deep voice: "He's the real culprit behind all of this. If we can kill him, we can end all of this!"

"Are you crazy?!"

Winnie really wondered if this guy was a lunatic!

Doesn't he even open his eyes to see what time it is?

With pursuers in front and blockers behind, he chooses this moment to kill the leader of the cult?

"Inquisitor, you are too conservative!"

Emrys licked his lips, becoming even more frantic: "As long as we can kill that bastard, we can end the cult's conspiracy ahead of time!"

Winnie was speechless, deeply shocked.

Who... was the Inquisitor after all?!

"This isn't gambling, it's something that must be done!"

Although Emrys was crazy, his mind was very clear: "If we let Urien escape this time, with his status, he will quickly lead the cult to conquer the entire hive city, so... we must find every way to kill him right here!"

"Tsk..."

Suddenly, the person on his back let out a scoff: "You make it sound like you're the Inquisitor. Don't forget... I graduated from the Schola Progenium!"

"Alright, Inquisitor Winnie Winslet!"

Emrys accelerated his sprint, sweeping past layers of steel beam structures, with a large number of Necron Scarabs chasing behind him.

"Damn, damn, damn!!!"

Urien, at the top of the factory, seeing this scene, how could he not guess his intentions, and cursed with a ferocious look: "You think these bugs can kill me?!"

"I didn't expect... these bugs to kill you!"

Without another word, Emrys pulled out his bolter and pulled the trigger at Urien on the platform.

Boom boom boom boom... a series of flaming bullets streaked towards Urien.

However, the bullets melted instantly upon approach by a fiercely burning wall of fire!

"Watch out, he's a psyker of the fire school!"

Winnie reminded him in time: "He's very good at creating explosions, and his attacking power is extremely strong!"

"I... know!"

Emrys transformed his telekinetic power into a large hand, tore off a steel beam weighing tens of tons, and hurled it directly like throwing a Song of Spears!

Bang!

The steel beam broke the sound barrier in an instant.

Like a high-speed missile, it dragged layers of air currents, its terrifying momentum like a main battle tank's shell!

"Blazing Light!"

Urien showed no fear, shooting a scorching high-temperature beam from his palm, which directly melted the steel beam in mid-air.

Boom!

A loud bang, heat waves rolled.

Under Urien's water-like gloomy gaze, the silver-black streamlined armor landed in a very dashing posture, smashing onto the bridge at the top of the factory.

"So... it's a psyker!"

Urien's eyes were venomous, wishing he could tear this damned bastard to shreds: "Who are you? How did you find this place?"

He prided himself on his strict secrecy, and never expected that a psyker would sneak in and cause such a ran right under their noses!

"I'm your daddy!"

Emrys sneered and beckoned to him: "Come on, if you've got the guts, don't run, let's see who lives to the end!"

As he spoke, the atmosphere seemed to vibrate, and a piercing hum rolled in like a raging tide!

The next moment, countless Necron Scarabs, like a dark green tide, swept in from below the factory!

Wherever they passed, nothing survived!

At this moment, Urien's pupils constricted. Although he possessed a 'holy relic', seeing those damned scarabs devour the entire factory until nothing was left, he still couldn't help but feel terrified!

Emrys stepped forward Domineering, psyker energy surging like waves, creating ripples in the Warp. The extremely cold and chilling aura caused the surrounding temperature to plummet!

"You bastard, look at me!!!"

"Bastard...bastard?!"

Urien's pupils constricted, his entire face twisting into a hideous grimace as painful memories flooded back.

Since birth, he had been of a collateral bloodline, thus never receiving any attention from his father. In the family, he was like an outcast, utterly ignored by everyone.

But he refused to accept it, desperately trying to prove to his father that he was the most suitable heir, not that idiotic elder brother!

Alas... no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't gain even a shred of his father's attention.

Until he killed his elder brother, the original successor!

His father finally noticed him, but the outcome was different from what Urien had imagined. He had believed that by killing his elder brother, his own outstanding talent would be valued by his father, but the facts proved... no matter how much effort he put in, it was no match for being born into the main lineage!

Yes, the only reason he garnered his father's attention was to shield his underage younger brother from the covetous gazes and assassination attempts of various factions.

From beginning to end, that cold-hearted father had never regarded him as his own son, only as a tool!

"Bastard"... it struck at the deepest inferiority within Urien's heart!

"You... what did you call me?!"

Urien was furious, his venomous gaze wishing to incinerate Emrys into ashes.

"What? Did I get it wrong?"

Emrys raised his hand and fired a cannon: "Oh, I almost forgot, you're from a collateral line, I should call you a mongrel instead!"

"You damned peasant! Scum!"

Urien was completely enraged. Surging psionic energy covered dozens of meters, the air instantly ignited, and a violent flame from the Warp gathered into a pillar of fire, roaring forward!

Boom!

The scorching heat even distorted space!

The destructive flames from the Warp, even products of the Necron Scarabs, could not withstand it, instantly being incinerated into ashes.

The pillar of fire was still more than ten meters from Emrys, but he could already feel the terrifying heat, his eyebrows and hair curling from the singe.

Flash!

Light surged, and Emrys instantly vanished from his spot.

The greatest advantage of the psychic system lay in its flexibility. He directly tore through the material universe, briefly traveling through the Warp with his physical body, thereby achieving short-distance spatial displacement!

"Did you think I wouldn't guess? Scum!"

However, Urien's understanding of the psychic system far surpassed Emrys'. In an instant, he pinpointed his location: "Die for me, you lowly scum, Hellfire!!!"

The atmosphere ignited!

The sky-blazing flames, like a rotating tornado, carried the malice of the Warp, surging towards Emrys.

"Impact!"

Emrys clapped his hands together.

The sound was instantly amplified hundreds of times, forming layers upon layers of surging airwaves like a tide!

Rumble!!!

The collision of psychic power and flames produced a deafening roar!

In an instant, tearing airwaves and gales roared, plowing crisscrossing ravines into the surrounding steel-forged ground, while the shattered flames scattered and bloomed like fireworks!

Under the illumination of the fire, the Necron Scarabs at the bottom of the factory, as if locked onto a target, swarmed in groups, like a surging wave of dark green, rushing towards them!

Urien's pupils immediately narrowed: "You intend to take me down with you? With these bugs?"

"Didn't you already guess?"

Emrys grinned, and the miniature rockets on his shoulders immediately launched, dragging airwaves as they crashed towards Urien.

Boom!

The explosion caused by the miniature missiles propelled the airwaves and flames outwards in all directions.

However, as the smoke and dust cleared, Urien remained unharmed. He stared at Emrys, a cold sneer forming on his lips: "I have a holy relic blessed by the great Blood God. Do you, a mere scum, really think you can wear me down?"

"Then let's see who collapses first!" Emrys stopped wasting words and unleashed all the firepower of his armor.

Miniature tracking missiles!

Shoulder cannons!

Arc pulse cannons!

Cluster cannons!

For a time, he completely suppressed Urien.

The Mark 5, at full fire, had a ferocity comparable to a tactical squad. Even with a shield device, it still forced Urien to ran around!

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!"

Urien was furious, cursing wildly: "Don't let me find out who made this scum's armor, or I'll wring his neck!"

He was forced to ran around, not because he was afraid of Emrys.

Even the holy relic bestowed by the Blood God had limited energy. Using it in such a meaningless place was undoubtedly a waste, especially since the opponent was just a scum?

Briefly using the defensive shield, Urien ignited the air again, attempting to use the Warp's flames to stop the insane firepower suppression, at least... to buy himself time to breathe!

"Flash!"

Emrys vanished from his spot again.

But this time, he pulled out the Plasma Gun he had never used, and in the gap when Urien hadn't noticed, he fiercely pulled the trigger!

What tactics? What skill?

Firepower suppression is the eternal God!

Boom!

A superheated, White ball of light spewed from the muzzle.

Urien's pupils suddenly constricted, screaming in horror: "A Plasma Gun?!"

This thing was extremely rare, even in the family of a planetary governor. Where did this scum get it from?

But alas, his thoughts lasted only half a second.

Urien was directly blown away by the explosion generated by the plasma, slammed hard against the wall by the airwave!

Although the holy relic of the Blood God blocked the Plasma Gun, the subsequent explosion's power was entirely borne by Urien. The powerful Impact made him see stars.

"Tsk!"

The hard-won opportunity was blocked by a shield. Emrys fiercely pulled the trigger again, praying in his heart: "God-Emperor, Omnissiah above, please don't overheat!"

Boom!

Urien, who hadn't even gotten up from the ground, was hit by another plasma cannon, and the holy relic shield bestowed by the Blood God was forcefully blasted with cracks!

"No, this is bad!"

Urien immediately panicked. The shield had a limit to the power it could withstand in a short period. If it were hit by two or three more shots, it would probably shatter!

"Get down... on your knees!!!"

However, how could Emrys let him have his way?

He had long seen through Urien's idea of stalling for time. His psychic power, like a surging tsunami, descended with terrifying gravitational potential energy!

Boundless gravity crashed down like a raging tide!

Urien's eyes were splitting, desperately trying to resist, but the pressure grew stronger, as if he were in a ten-thousand-meter deep sea, terrifying gravity surging from all directions, seemingly wanting to crush him into a pulp!

Thump!

Urien's knees hit the ground, glaring furiously at Emrys: "Scum, I'm going to kill you!!!"

Bang!

Urien's answer was a close-range Plasma Gun!

The superheated ionic plasma, accelerated by heating coils, dragged an air ring like a sonic boom, blasting Urien, who was spewing high Gothic obscenities, backwards!

"Scream? Scream again?"

Emrys pressed the attack, the Impact formed by his psychic power, carrying shattered steel, like a cannonball fired from a barrel, instantly reaching several times the speed of sound!

Steel rubbed against the air, like a burning meteor!

Steel fragments, accelerated by psychic power, each with the destructive force of artillery, continuously suppressed Urien.

"Emperor, bless your loyal servant!"

Emrys shouted the Emperor's name and kissed the Plasma Gun.

The White, superheated ball of light streaked through the air, and in Urien's horrified eyes, it slammed into the shield blessed by the Blood God.

This time, the airwave generated by the explosion was even more violent!

Crack!

The holy relic bestowed by the Blood God cracked again!

Urien suddenly felt a pang of fear. He didn't understand why he, who held the upper hand, could be pushed to such a state by a scum?!

Why? Why on earth?

"Scum!!!"

Urien's face was twisted in a grimace. He knew he had to counterattack!

If Emrys continued to suppress him, the Blood God's blessed shield would shatter before the bugs below could even gnaw at him!

Boom!

Towering flames poured out from the Warp.

The surging, boiling flames rushed into the material universe, like angry waves rising on a calm sea, or as if twisted, blasphemous demons were hidden within.

The sky-blazing flames illuminated the originally yellow-sand-filled wasteland in an orange-red hue!

Roaring ceaselessly, the malice of the Immaterium, stemming from the wrath of the Chaos Blood God, directly enveloped more than half of the factory's platform!

It's too late...

The surging Warp flame, its power is secondary; the main point is the malevolence of the Warp!

Like a blunt knife slowly carving flesh, it bit by bit ravaged and tormented Emrys' will and spirit, as if trying to drag him into an endless mountain of corpses and sea of blood.

"Screw you!"

Suddenly, Emrys broke free from the illusion, blood welling up in his eyes.

The moment the mountain of corpses and sea of blood shattered, he seemed to hear a hearty and rough laugh.

But right now, he had no time to ponder who that voice belonged to.

Seeing himself about to be engulfed by the surging Warp flame, Emrys' psychic power suddenly soared, and with the armor's auxiliary mode, he forcibly controlled his telekinesis to construct dozens of layers of psychic barriers!

Boom!!!

The moment the two Warp powers collided, it was as if the earth was rent asunder!

Amidst the deafening roar that could tear eardrums, immense energy was unleashed, like a flood breaking its dam, trampling the platform of the forge factory!

A fierce burst of fire erupted, like a scorching ball of light, a rising sun.

The dozens of layers of Warp defensive shields constructed by telekinesis only held for less than a few seconds before collapsing layer by layer in the explosion!

The scalding hot airwave was so substantial that it directly knocked Emrys flying.

Before impact, Emrys forcibly twisted his direction, preventing the Inquisitor behind him from being crushed into a pulp, but the cost of doing so was fully enduring the force of the impact, as if his internal organs were displaced.

Fortunately, Adamantium was incorporated into the armor's metal, though not in large quantities, it absorbed most of the impact for him.

"Severe impact detected, user suspected of internal injuries!"

"Inject painkiller immediately!"

The armor promptly activated medical mode, slowly injecting a painkiller.

"How are you? Are you alright!" Winnie looked at Emrys, who had taken the impact for her, her heart filled with guilt.

She was supposed to be the Empire's Inquisitor, so why had she become the one needing protection?

No, it shouldn't be like this!

She bit her lip, racking her brain to figure out how she could help Emrys.

Even if she couldn't secure a victory, she should at least lighten his burden!

"I'm fine."

Despite being injected with a painkiller, Emrys still gasped in pain from several broken ribs.

Moreover, the armor's auxiliary mode had its limits; the longer the psychic power amplification lasted, the greater the burden and torment for him.

They both looked at each other, temporarily pausing the fierce battle.

At this moment, the number of Necron Scarabs on the lower level of the forge factory had reached an astonishing level, converging into a surging emerald green ocean.

Piercing buzzes echoed through the sky, and the vast swarm of Scarabs had completely surrounded the two!

From all directions, airtight!

Emrys had to divert some of his attention to use a telekinetic shield to keep the swarm at bay.

Similarly, the Blood God artifact shield bestowed upon Urien was also being fiercely attacked by the Scarab swarm.

The Necron Scarabs showed no favoritism, judging both individuals with Warp psychic power as 'enemies,' dangerous individuals who must be eliminated.

"Hahahahaha... You're finished! You're dead!"

Urien, who had just managed to catch his breath, saw the situation and his eyes gleamed, bursting into laughter: "I have the artifact bestowed by the Blood God, while you can only rely on psychic power to defend. It won't be long before you're completely exhausted, either consumed by the Warp or by the swarm!"

"Isn't that just perfect?"

Unfortunately, the current situation was exactly as Emrys had anticipated.

He looked at Urien, provocatively hooking his finger: "Come on, coward, now let's see who can last until the end!"

Urien's face immediately turned as dark as water, his venomous gaze like daggers.

Indeed, the Blood God artifact shield was extremely powerful; even if those damned metal bugs were more formidable, they wouldn't be able to break the shield in a short time.

But he considered one more layer: if the artifact was too severely depleted, even if he killed this bastard, it would be difficult for him to escape safely.

Quick victory!

Miraculously, both thought of the same thing: they both planned for a quick victory!

"Armor, unleash all stored firepower!"

Emrys, as usual, once again used powerful firepower to suppress.

He pulled the trigger of the bolter in his left hand, and the explosive bullets, propelled by the thruster,

He vowed to use powerful firepower to directly shatter that damned artifact shield, but how could Urien sit idly by?

A blasphemous, distorted, inhuman language emanated from Urien's mouth, and the barrier of the material universe seemed to waver, visibly tearing open a rift!

Hell Blast!

From that torn rift, Urien frantically drew power from the Warp.

He then directly created a primordial form of Warp power, mixed with the agonizing screams of souls from the highest heavens, a destructive beam shot towards Emrys!

"You think I won't?!"

Emrys' temper immediately flared, his eyes crimson, as if filled with murderous intent: "Doomsday Vortex!"

The original rift in the material universe barrier, under the combined efforts of the two psychics, instantly expanded several times over!

An endless stream of Warp energy poured into the material universe.

Destructive energy surged from the rift, like a massive black hole vortex, releasing a terrifying, enormous gravitational pull!

Surrounding matter was forcibly dragged in; even hard steel, upon touching the vortex, was annihilated by the surging destructive power of the Warp!

Two completely different Warp powers intertwined and fiercely collided!

Boom!!!

Ultimately, neither could overcome the other.

The aftermath of the two Warp powers even swept in the surrounding swarm, crushing them like a millstone!

Then, a terrifying burst of energy erupted with dazzling light, and amidst the deafening roar, both Emrys and Urien were sent flying by the airwave.

Mutual destruction!

But, at this moment, under the relentless assault of the Scarabs, Emrys' telekinetic shield actually showed signs of breaking.

Urien immediately felt hope, laughing maniacally with a twisted face: "Hahahahaha... You lose! bastard!"

"Why so much nonsense?"

Seeing the blood-colored shield around Urien, Emrys' mouth was unforgiving, but he was already feeling a bit numb.

This thing... why is it so tough?

It took two plasma cannon shots and was fine. Could it be a Khorne chosen?!

If this continued, he would be exhausted to death before the opponent's shield broke!

Could it be... that he had no choice but to give up?!

Emrys gritted his teeth, unwilling to give up this rare opportunity.

He wasn't without a fallback; if it really came to it, he could cross over to the Marvel universe, but missing this opportunity would make killing Urien much more difficult.

"Focus your mind on him!"

At this moment, Winnie behind him suddenly spoke: "I'll hold off those bugs for you."

"Are you... sure?"

Emrys panted, seriously doubting Winnie's ability.

If she had any other way, the laser array strike just now wouldn't have forced her to act like a timid ostrich.

"Who do you think I am?"

Winnie, however, sneered, her words filled with pride: "I am an Inquisitor appointed by the Empire. Time was short just now, so I couldn't use my trump card."

With that, she took off the rosarium badge pinned to her chest, enunciating each word: "Personal Void Shield defense device. Once activated, it can generate a Void Shield with a diameter of one meter, but the time is limited; it can only last for one minute."

"One minute, huh..."

Emrys took a deep breath, his eyes becoming resolute again: "That's enough. I'll crush his head within one minute!"

"Good!"

Winnie didn't hesitate, trusting Emrys.

The Void Shield device was activated, and a faint energy defensive shield enveloped both of them.

At the same time, Emrys withdrew his defensive telekinesis, allowing him to concentrate fully on dealing with Urien.

Warp users of the fire element, while incredibly destructive, also have a fatal flaw: they are not as flexible as telekinetic users.

You're very confident, aren't you? Then let's see who dies first!"

Telekinesis surged like a tide, and Emrys laughed wildly and wantonly.

The large forge mining equipment was pried loose by telekinesis. Even as he flew into the sky, under the furious impact of countless Scarabs, he clenched his fist like a madman and heavily slammed it onto the giant equipment. His telekinesis instantly acted like a rocket propulsion device, imbuing this massive equipment with astonishing kinetic energy!

Rumble!!!

The giant mining equipment, with a diameter of over ten meters, descended like a meteor from the sky!

"Do you think I'd fall for that again?!"

Urien roared in a low voice, igniting flames and instantly transforming into a beam of light that shot out at top speed.

Bang!

His plasma gun flew out of his hand, and Emrys cursed under his breath, simply pulling out his bolter instead.

A torrent of bullets, like a downpour, was unleashed in one breath.

The Necron Scarabs attacked the two like mad, and the two attacked each other like mad, just like in a Roman gladiatorial arena, where warriors, betting on glory, courage, and life, gave their all to kill each other, until death!

Under the continuous assault of the Necron Scarabs, the Blood God Relic Shield quietly reached its breaking point.

From its appearance alone, one could see the crisscrossing cracks on the shield's surface, as if it would shatter any second.

Urien's expression quickly changed from arrogant and ferocious to fearful.

"No, no!"

He suddenly realized that he had been stalled by a mere wretch for so long!

If he continued fighting like this, even if he killed this bastard, he would be exhausted and unable to escape being devoured by the swarm!

Yes, he had no need to fight to the death with a wretch.

Urien, who seemed to have understood, immediately changed his objective from killing Emrys to figuring out how to escape.

"Trying to run now? Too late!"

Emrys extended his right hand, his five fingers clenching into a tight fist.

The next moment, Urien, attempting to flee, felt a violent psionic force, like a mountain-toppling wave, crash into him.

He was slammed against the wall, staring at Emrys with a face full of terror, as if he were a madman, who used his psionic power to grab him and directly shatter the factory platform beneath his feet.

"Don't be in such a hurry, Young Master Urien!"

Emrys looked utterly insane, licking his lips, his face full of Crazy: "The battle isn't over yet. If you run away like this, do you even deserve to worship the Blood God?"

"Stop! Stop it now!"

"If we keep fighting, we'll both die!"

Urien screamed in utter horror.

Boom!

The already dilapidated upper platform of the forge was violently torn apart by Emrys' psionic power!

Losing their footing, both fell downwards simultaneously.

With the levitating effect of psionic power, Emrys did not fall but, taking advantage of the descent, controlled his psionic power to grab falling rocks and continuously hurled them at Urien.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Urien fell from a great height, crashing heavily onto the middle platform.

The violent impact dazed him, and the continuously falling boulders struck his Relic Shield like cannonballs.

Urien, recovering from his dizziness, looked at the surrounding cliffs with a face full of terror and panic, then saw Emrys charging towards him, and immediately screamed, "Madman! Madman! You're a madman!!!"

"You're right, I am a madman!"

By now, the armor's ammunition was depleted, but Emrys drew his combat knife, a knife from Catachan.

"Now, neither of us can escape." Emrys grinned maniacally, gripping the knife and charging directly: "Look me in the eye, you coward!"

His roar, like a thousand soldiers, made Urien's pupils constrict, a shiver running through him!

From initial confidence of victory to now, scrambling in panic.

Urien had never imagined that he would be dragged into such a predicament by an underhive scum.

"Wretch! Idiot! Stop it now!" He cried out in fear, and upon realizing his life might be in danger, his last shred of fighting spirit quickly faded: "We can cooperate and escape from here, I'll give you whatever you want, just stop!"

"Go to hell!"

But Urien's reply was only a more ferocious assault!

"What do you want? I can give you anything!"

Urien's eyes were bloodshot, desperately fending off the madman's suicidal attacks, especially his willingness to trade blows, which made his liver and guts tremble!

"I want your life!"

Emrys manipulated his psionic power, grabbing a crumbling steel beam and directly hurling it at Urien.

Whoosh!

A steel beam dozens of meters long streaked across the sky like a cannonball!

"Besides that, I can give you anything!"

Fighting to this point, Urien was genuinely terrified, shaken by the madman's fighting style, and fear, like a maggot in the bone, gnawed at his last remaining desire to fight.

In fact, it was now purely a contest to see whose willpower was stronger!

Both Emrys and Urien were psykers, and while they were frantically drawing power from the Warp, they were also enduring intense side effects!

The situation seemed to have completely stalemated, but anyone with a discerning eye could see that both were at their limits.

If one had to say, although Emrys had suppressed Urien throughout, his consumption was clearly greater, especially with such dangerous power as psychic abilities.

Although the personal void shield generated by the Rosarius had blocked a large number of Necron Scarabs for him.

But the mental power amplified by the armor was severely depleted during the intense battle, causing Emrys excruciating headaches and even making his breathing rapid!

That was the side effect of frequently using psychic powers: suffocation!

If this continued, Emrys would soon suffocate, allowing Urien to instantly turn the tide and utterly defeat him!

No!

Not like this!

Winnie, who had been clinging to his back, realized she had to do something!

Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of the plasma gun that had also fallen, lying not far away.

Her mentor's face flashed in Winnie's mind.

"I will not become an Inquisitor like you, but I will uphold the duties of an Inquisitor!"

"To purge the heretic, for the Emperor, for humanity!"

Winnie forcefully tore off her Rosarius and shoved it into Emrys' hand: "I'll create an opportunity for you!"

With that, without waiting for Emrys to stop her, she voluntarily leaped off the armor.

She landed, rolled to absorb the impact, and then, without hesitation, bolted towards a certain spot!

"Are you fucking crazy?! Get back here!"

Emrys' eyes were bloodshot, roaring in horrified anger.

With Necron Scarabs all around, this was tantamount to suicide, but Winnie did it anyway!

"I'm not crazy, I'm perfectly clear-headed!"

Winnie's eyes were filled with determination, and she continued to run frantically, her voice devoid of any fear, frighteningly calm: "The moment I became an Inquisitor, my mentor told me that sacrifice is the cornerstone of the Imperium, and life is the Emperor's currency!"

"And our duty is to become the cornerstones of the Imperium, to become the Emperor's currency!"

Besides the Rosarius badge bestowed by the Inquisition, she also carried a deflection field defense device.

Of course, in the face of Necron constructs, a deflection field defense device was a joke, at most capable of delaying for a pitiful dozen seconds.

But what Winnie needed was those few short seconds; she would use her life to create an opportunity for Emrys!

The piercing hum of the Scarab swarm immediately discovered the lone Winnie, sweeping over like a sky-darkening black cloud, instantly engulfing her figure!

Deeply surrounded by the swarm, the deflection field defense device blared warnings, its shield crumbling inch by inch.

However, Winnie never showed the slightest fear; she found the lost plasma gun, bent down to pick it up, and aimed it at Urien.

The dense swarm of Scarabs now became her best cover!

"I am… Winnie Winslet, Inquisitor of the Imperium!"

Winnie's eyes were resolute, carrying the will to face death, and she resolutely pulled the trigger: "Emperor above, please forgive me for being unable to serve you any longer!"

Boom!

The scorching ionic plasma disrupted the airflow, carving out a visible 'tunnel' through the chaotic swarm!

A miniature, blazing ball of light, carrying a terrifying aura of destruction, fiercely struck Urien, who was caught off guard and completely unprepared!

His entire attention had been focused on Emrys, constantly overlooking the Inquisitor surrounded by the swarm.

Winnie had kept her word; she had truly succeeded in creating a momentary opportunity for Emrys!

That was… plasma?!

Urien's eyes were bloodshot; his misjudgment had set a trap for himself!

It was too close; Winnie was too close to him, making evasion impossible.

Boom!

You can always trust a loyal plasma gun!

The ultra-high temperature of hydrogen-based plasma, even a relic bestowed by the Blood God, would be hard-pressed to completely defend against it!

Moreover, under the frantic encirclement of the Necron Scarabs and Emrys' repeated assaults, this Relic Shield was already shattered, on the verge of breaking at any moment.

The ultra-high temperature plasma explosion once again blasted Urien away, sending him crashing violently into the rock wall.

He ignored the pain in his body, staring in horror at the already cracked Relic Shield: "No, stop, stop!"

But, before the deflection field defense device was breached, Winnie, now on a life countdown, unhesitatingly pulled the trigger a second, third, fourth, and fifth time!

"Oh, God-Emperor, please bestow your mercy."

Winnie's face was expressionless, silently praying deep within her heart to the Human Lord who had sat on the Golden Throne for ten millennia, protecting the Imperium.

"I do not ask for you to save my life, nor do I ask for you to protect my soul."

"I, Winnie Winslet, implore you, Great God-Emperor, Omnissiah, bless my plasma gun to never overheat!"

Crack!

The fifth shot, the fifth time!

The scorching White light miraculously erupted, trailing a bright trajectory!

"Oh, God-Emperor, once more… bless me to eradicate the heretic!"

Winnie screamed hoarsely, completely disregarding whether the next shot would ignite the gun barrel and blow her to smithereens.

The trigger was pulled, as if the Omnissiah truly listened to the devout follower's prayer.

Loyal plasma never overheats!

The sixth shot, fired!

Even with the sacred relic bestowed by the Blood God, it couldn't withstand the loyal plasma gun. By the great Omnissiah, it truly blessed the loyal warrior, the Inquisitor of the Imperium of Man!

In many respects, Winnie was undoubtedly unqualified!

She wasn't decisive enough, nor resolute enough, always harboring beautiful visions, and some of her decisions, in Emrys' eyes, were even full of stubbornness and antiquated thinking!

But there was one thing that no one could deny!

Winnie Winslet was worthy of the Winslet family, and even more worthy of being an Inquisitor of the Imperium of Man. When facing heretics, she unhesitatingly offered her life, solely to become a cornerstone of the Imperium of Man!

The last plasma cannon blast shattered the relic's shield!

After that, Winnie was submerged by an overwhelming swarm of scarabs. Emrys didn't need to look; he knew the outcome.

"May your soul… return to the Golden Throne!"

The relic shield was broken, but Urien hadn't died, because he was the offspring of the planetary governor. Even as an unpopular collateral relative, he still had a deflection field device on him.

Although, this device wouldn't hold out against the scarabs for long.

But Urien, completely cornered, was like a drowning man, desperately clutching at the last straw. He completely shed his dignity, turning to flee in terror.

"No… I can't die here!"

Urien ran wildly, trying to grab the rock face with both hands, attempting to climb up and escape that damned madman!

But how could Emrys let him have his way?

"Get… back here! Coward!"

Excruciating pain assaulted his nerves, making Emrys' head throb, but he still gritted his teeth, using his last remaining strength to drag Urien down from the rock face!

Thud!

With a heavy sound, Urien fell to the ground in a pathetic heap.

"Go away, stay away from me, you lunatic!" He turned his head and saw Emrys, holding a combat knife, gradually closing in. He looked as if he had seen a terrifying ghost, his face pale, screaming in terror: "No… don't come near me!"

Boom!

Suddenly, an explosion of fire ignited Emrys.

But something even more horrifying happened: Emrys, burning with psychic flames, seemed like the God of Death returned from hell, not stopping his steps to claim a life.

His armor was ignited by the psychic flames, blowing out a gap.

Through the shattered helmet, his face was revealed, like a ferocious specter, his tyrannical eyes blood-red, his killing intent almost palpable, sending shivers down Urien's spine!

"Don't run, our business isn't over yet!"

Emrys was also nearing his limit, but he just wouldn't fall, persisting purely on a surge of madness and willpower.

"Save… save me… who can save me?!"

Urien was completely terrified by the other's madness, losing all will to fight, his mind solely focused on how to escape.

"Right, right!"

"There's also the great Blood God!"

A glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes. He chanted twisted, blasphemous incantations, attempting to draw power from the Warp, praying for the blessing of the great God of Blood!

If only, if only he could receive a blessing, he could turn the tide!

However… the Warp remained completely still.

"How… how could this be?"

Urien's prayers received no response whatsoever.

Even the blessing bestowed by the 'Blood God' seemed to be fading from his soul.

"Why is this happening?!"

Urien cried out in despair, unwillingly chanting blasphemous incantations, hoping to receive the Blood God's blessing. Even if it wasn't the Blood God… anything else would do!

But unfortunately, he forgot the most important point.

Although the Blood God revels in war and slaughter, a brutal and bloodthirsty god of destruction, He also symbolizes courage and glory.

From the moment Urien showed fear and begged Emrys for mercy, from the moment he failed in a desperate challenge filled with glory and courage, from that moment on, he completely lost his value!

A coward is not worthy of the Blood God's blessing!

"You, who are you calling?!"

Emrys kicked over Urien, who was trying to receive a blessing, and with a twisted grin, revealed a mad, bloodthirsty smile: "Look closely at my face, you and I are even!"

"No, don't…"

Urien was horrified, his pale face, pupils contracted to pinpricks, reflected a chilling glint of a blade!

Crack!

One slash to the throat, one to the heart!

Blood gushed out like a fountain, splattering on Emrys' face, making him look like a deranged killer!

The hand holding the knife twisted, moving upward from the heart!

It severed all the flesh and bone along the way, finally cutting off Urien's head. Until the very moment of his death, his eyes were filled with terror.

"To hell with your Blood God!"

Emrys held his head, then tossed it to the scarabs. Only after confirming it was completely devoured, with not a single trace left, did he finally let out a sigh of relief.

Jackal had taught him that killing should be clean and decisive!

Don't leave the enemy any hope, especially with cults like this. If you don't cut the grass by the roots, who knows what accidents might happen?

It's over… Finally, the leader of the cult has been slain, the source eliminated!

Emrys turned to look at the Inquisitor, who was covered by a large number of scarabs, completely out of shadow, and his eyes dimmed: "It seems a miracle really didn't happen."

From a personal perspective, he really hoped to see a miracle, but unfortunately… a miracle, called a miracle precisely because it wouldn't normally happen!

"I was thinking too much…"

Emrys savored the bitter emotion alone.

In the Imperium of Man, tens of millions, even billions, of people die for it every day. Why should he expect Winnie not to die?

The void shield of the rosarium was already on the verge of overloading.

And he, too, was nearing his limit.

"It's time to leave…"

Emrys, completely surrounded by scarabs, activated the last of his armor's energy and flew towards the sky.

"Warning! Warning!"

"Low energy! Low energy!"

A series of warning sounds from the armor, and the interface flashing red, indicated that it had reached its limit.

"It should be enough for me to escape Ironstone Town…"

Emrys glanced at the remaining energy and accelerated: "Once I leave this area, I'll put on…"

No sooner had he spoken than he suddenly felt a terrifying sensation of his heart being squeezed, unable to breathe, as if someone had held a sharp knife to his heart!

"Warning! Locked by unknown weapon!"

"Unable to evade! Unable to resist!"

Suddenly, a dazzling blood-red beam of light seemed to fill the entire sky, annihilating all the scarabs in its path!

Amidst the sonic boom that tore through the firmament, rolling air waves surged like a tide, and a huge shadow completely enveloped him!

"What the hell is that?!"

Emrys looked back in astonishment.

He saw a colossal, completely twisted creature, like a ferocious flying dragon, spewing terrifying flames from its mouth, incinerating the entire foundry.

Was that… a Hellflayer?!

Emrys was horrified and shocked. He had just destroyed the Brass Scorpion, and now another Daemon Engine appeared out of nowhere?

But clearly, the Hellflayer wouldn't answer his question. Destructive energy poured out, gathering into a torrent, sweeping in with immense force!
