Night settled gently over the space as the moonlight bathed the entire lawn under its silvery glow. The wind howled, rustling through the leaves, petals and blades of grass.
For dinner, Lucille made some simple dishes. The mouth-watering aroma lingered in the kitchen, piquing one's appetite after a day of hard work.
Ashrik and Lucille simply ate in the kitchen instead of the backyard. Once he was done, he quickly gathered all the dishes and brought them to the sink. She just let him be.
"Lucy, wanna come?" Ashrik asked while wiping his hands with a small towel. The last bowl was just placed on the dish drainer rack. "I'm going next door."
Lucille looked up from the fridge, her mouth munching on the apple she had just grabbed. Raising one brow, she asked, "To discuss tomorrow's plan?"
"Yes."
"It's okay. I'll just stay here." Lucille shook her head. "Need to sew something."
Ashrik didn't press further. He quickly went out, heading to the neighboring cottage.
