Cold water splashed Fin's face, jarring him awake. He leaned against the damp tile, letting the chill numb his exhaustion.
In the main room, Jaren had already finished dressing up.
He caught Five by the shoulder, steadying the young man who swayed, half-asleep.
Grabbing the stiff black suit jacket from the chair, Jaren guided the other man's limp arms into the sleeves, tugging the lapels straight.
Five blinked slowly, offering no resistance as Jaren fastened the top buttons.
"We already woke up late," Jaren mumbled, now tapping Five's face to keep him awake. "The briefing starts in ten minutes. Let's hurry."
"Mhm…" Five gave a weak nod, his chin dropping toward his chest.
"Hurry up, Fin!"
Still in the shower, Fin responded. "Don't wait for me!"
With a nod toward the door, Jaren led the way out.
They stepped into the concrete corridor, the metal door clicking shut behind them.
Fin was left behind, wrapped in the distant hum of the shower echoing through the walls.
