Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Welcome to…!

[Congratulations, you've found the most abstract Douji II fanfiction!]

Dappled sunlight filtered through the dense canopy of trees, and tiny insects crawled slowly among the withered leaves, struggling to survive.

This was a primeval forest, a dangerous place rarely visited by humans.

Because the inhabitants of this forest were not ordinary wild beasts, but unique creatures possessing incredible power

  —Soul Beasts .

They not only lived in this forest, but were also its undisputed rulers.

The Star Dou Great Forest was the name of this forest.

On this ordinary and uneventful day, the peaceful Star Dou Great Forest welcomed an uninvited guest.

An invisible, terrifying force appeared without warning in a clearing in the forest, instantly piercing through the space. A dark and deep spatial rift was torn open by this force, and from the rift emerged a small figure.

It was a human child, no more than six years old.

  "?"

After a brief period of dizziness, the small figure, lying flat on the ground, sat up in shock, looking around in bewilderment.

The unfamiliar plants around him left him bewildered.

"Where am I?" he murmured instinctively, but before he could finish, he covered his mouth.

  Because...

  the voice was wrong!

He was a vibrant young man in his twenties, so why did his voice sound so...childish?

And his body shouldn't feel so weak!

Looking down at his own body, he saw the form of a six-year-old child, which made him want to cry. Just a moment ago, he was buying lottery tickets and had won the grand prize. Before he could even celebrate, a wave of dizziness washed over him, and he found himself in this strange world.

"Could it be that I died from excessive joy?" He'd heard that extreme emotional fluctuations during moments of extreme happiness or sorrow could lead to death.

As for why he was still alive,

having read many novels, he quickly realized and accepted the fact.

"I never thought I, Lin Yun, would transmigrate! Thankfully, my second brother is still here, otherwise I should have changed my name to Lin Yun." Lin Yun touched a certain part of his body and breathed a sigh of relief.

"But this transmigration was too hasty, wasn't it? Where's the semi-trailer truck? Where's the divine justice?"

And what about my cheat codes?!   (A careless old mother: ...)   Although his frail six-year-old body made Lin Yun very uncomfortable, staying in one place wasn't a good idea.

After slightly relieving the aftereffects of dizziness, Lin Yun, gradually adapting to his new body, carefully left the open space.

He couldn't help but be careless.

There's no safe place in a forest. Not only are many of the plants here unlike anything he's ever seen on Earth—they look somewhat familiar, but he's definitely never seen them before.

This means this isn't his original world anymore. Forests are notorious for venomous insects, snakes, and beasts; who knows what other bizarre creatures might be lurking

in this forest? With the body of a six-year-old child, if he were to swagger through this forest, he'd probably be transported back to another world in the next second.

If he had a third life.

Pushing aside another thicket of bushes, Lin Yun cautiously peeked out, his eyes widening as his previously serious expression froze.

  "Hiss—"

  "Roar—"

The snake and wolf, who had been facing off, simultaneously turned their bloodthirsty eyes towards the bushes where Lin Yun was.

  'It's over!'

  Lin Yun's heart stopped.

Snakes are renowned masters of thermal sensing; with poor eyesight, they rely entirely on their tongues and heat sensors to lock onto enemies. Wolves, on the other hand, have incredibly sensitive noses, able to detect prey from kilometers away.

Although he didn't know why a snake was fighting a wolf, Lin Yun was about to be in deep trouble!   Most importantly, why were the wolf and snake in front of him so ridiculously large?!

  A six-meter-long, thigh-thick, purplish-pink snake; a three-meter-long, one-and-a-half-meter-tall blue giant wolf.

What kind of world was this?!

But Lin Yun had no time to mourn for himself. Next to appear were the unknown, ferocious snake and the bloodthirsty giant wolf!

The giant snake slowly opened its mouth, two dagger-like fangs dripping venom that corroded the fallen leaves on the ground, causing them to emit white smoke.

Lin Yun could smell the giant wolf's foul-smelling breath from a great distance.

  Could he win?   Win...

win my ass! He was doomed!   Lin Yun immediately went for it. Even in his adult form from his previous life, he wasn't confident he could escape—yes, escape, not fight—let alone in his current six-year-old body.

He only hoped these two bastards would give him a quick death when they ate him, preferably a chokehold from the wolf, rather than the suffocating feeling of being coiled by a giant python.

The Mandragora Snake and the Gale Wolf didn't care what Lin Yun thought. In the Star Dou Great Forest, even though soul beasts would fight among themselves, the moment they saw a human, no matter how deep their hatred, they would all attack.

Soul masters were their common enemy, and so were humans!

The Mandragora Snake and the Gale Wolf, who had just been exchanging hostile glances, now simultaneously targeted Lin Yun.

Hiss—howl— Watching the wolf and snake pounce on him impatiently, Lin Yun closed his eyes with relief. Judging by their aggressive approach, it seemed he could die a quick death.

  Three seconds passed.

  Ten seconds passed.

  One minute passed…

"Hmm? Why doesn't it hurt?" Lin Yun opened his eyes blankly. Everything before him had turned grayish-white, time and space seemed to have stopped. Except for the constantly flowing grayish-white mist, the entire world was frozen in place.

The snake and wolf were less than thirty centimeters in front of him, frozen in mid-air, their wide-open mouths and suspended saliva clearly visible.

Just as Lin Yun realized that time had stopped, a vast and ethereal voice, like a morning bell and evening drum, resounded in his heart.

[Young man, welcome to Douluo Continent!]

 [Please choose your faction…

Oops, wrong one! Please choose your side!]

[1. My fate is in my own hands, not in the heavens! I will rise up and become the master, kill Tang San, and the throne of the God King in the God Realm is not unattainable for me!]   [2. Let's go!] "If you can't beat them, join them! Cling to Tang San's coattails and become the next Huo Yuhao!"

  [Select Reward: Unknown!]

"This is... my cheat code?" Lin Yun's eyes lit up, and he was immediately excited.

I knew it! How could a transmigrator start with such a cheat code?!

Although the voice sounded a bit frivolous, it did indeed provide Lin Yun with a lot of information.

  "Douluo Continent... Tang San?"
