"So is this what being a celebrity feels like or what?" Kiru said. Nale only looked at him and softly started laughing.
His laughter halted as a girl with long orange pigtails and a flagrant blue dress approached them.
"So you're the one who beat Idris Hm". She looked Kiru up and down, only frowning. Her curiosity was killed by the boy in front of her eyes. "Had I known he'd be so pathetic I'd have chosen a different fiancé".
Nale looked at her with disgust. "Isn't that too far? You shouldn't just get engaged because you think someone is strong." Kiru and the girl looked at him in shock.
"Wow, Nale, I didn't know you had it in you to say something like that." Kiru turned to look at the girl with a serious face.
She looked at Kiru and only turned to exit.
Nale looked at Kiru and started to talk. "We should get to class. I heard that today would be the day we get to go on missions."
"It's only the first day, and we're already getting sent on missions. Kiru looked at Nale with an ecstatic expression. Nale looked at him with a worried face.
They walked into the classroom and sat in the middle right corner. "That's our instructor," Nale said.
"He sure looks strong. I wonder what his rank is." Kiru looked at the instructor, trying to figure out his strength.
"Nice to meet you all. My name is Dr. Xaye, and I'm your mission instructor." He looked at Kiru and Nale.
"You're the students from this morning. It seems like we already have some big shots here."
Nale and Kiru received stares from all around the classroom.
"Moving past that, today's assignment will be easy. We will be entering the dungeon with a party of 2, and you will be tasked with defeating the monster given." He looked at all the students and smiled. "I don't think a lot of you will last, but let's see what happens."
Kiru looked at Nale with an excited expression.
They arrive in front of the dungeon, and Nale has a sour look on his face. "I don't think I'll be of much help to you Kiru".
"Don't joke around, you'll be of a lot of help." They both look at the teacher as he begins to talk
"Listen up, each group will be given a monster to beat," he said, looking at Nale and Kiru again. "You two will be given the golem king on floor 16".
Nale goes pale in the face. Kiru only looks on with eagerness.
"The rest of you will be assigned to monsters on lower floors and do your best not to get too hurt".
