[A/N: Sorry if I end up explaining abilities. Some time i get carried away. But yeah, for the next few chapters, there would only be the MC being OP, with him getting stronger and stronger.
"I see... that explains why you only have rare grade gear on." Zenryu studied the King for a moment, his eyes tracing the modest equipment. "Who are these enemies?"
"My mages have foreseen a future where demons from another world would invade ours. I ask you to lead my people to victory. I ask not for your strength, but your leadership." The King said respectfully, his tone carrying the weight of a man who understood his own limitations.
'...I would expect a king like this to have become arrogant and spoiled, yet he is humble. This isn't an act either... oh, he isn't human, so I guess I can't judge him by what I would expect humans to act like.' Zenryu thought, noticing how the seemingly human beings before him were in fact a race he had never seen before.
"Alright, show me your plans, and we will go from there," Zenryu said calmly. And so he used The End to copy leadership skills. He even copied the blacksmiths in the city, along with the alchemists. With him learning all of these instantly and mastering them to 120%, he began to lead this city towards victory.
Legendary Grade weapons were crafted under his teaching. Legendary Grade potions followed, each vial holding the potential to turn the tide of battle. Traps were created not just in the city he was in, but also in all the cities under the King's rule, transforming peaceful lands into killing fields for any invader.
The soldiers were trained by Zenryu, since he had, of course, learned and mastered army formations and such. Teaching them to fight was easy work for him. He even took all of the skills they had and showed them how to bring out their full potential, turning average soldiers into warriors who moved with deadly precision.
Everyone was trained by Zenryu. Thanks to his shadow clones, he could do everything at the same time and ensure everything was well looked after, allowing him to sit back and wait for the war to come, which began six months after he appeared in this world.
What happened that day shook this world. A sea of demons ranging from snarling demon dogs to towering giants that cast long shadows over the land spilled from a gate, rushing towards the city in a tide of claws and fangs. The weakest sat at level 10, and the strongest at level 100 was the demon lord who stood back, commanding the army with cold authority.
But they were ready for this. These demons triggered traps that had been set throughout the area. Explosions went off, explosions which mimicked nuclear bombs that took out countless demons in an instant, their bodies reduced to ash before they could take another step.
Before anyone in this world got injured, the demons had already suffered massive losses. This enraged the demon lord, who had the demons attack the space ahead of them to trigger the traps intentionally, so that they wouldn't stumble into them blindly. This allowed them to avoid many traps, letting them quickly reach the attack range of the guards stationed on the city wall.
"Attack!" A Knight roared from the battlements, and instantly a massive wave of attacks was unleashed. Some were spells that crackled through the air, others were innate abilities, and some were sheer skills honed through months of relentless training. The demons were quickly slaughtered, their advance grinding to a halt beneath the onslaught.
This enraged a level 98 demon who stepped forward and attacked the city wall, its power surging toward the stone with destructive intent.
"Shield!" The Knight roared, and instantly the mages moved, coming together to create one powerful shield that transcended anything they could make alone. That shield easily canceled out the attack, the energy dissipating harmlessly against its surface. The demon stood in shock, for that shield was created by mages at only level 65.
The war was pretty simple after that. The demons lost. With all of the demons' ruthlessness, they were not ready to face an army trained by Zenryu. The King alone, when he stepped onto the battlefield, was able to fight someone at level 115 while only being at level 90, thanks to Zenryu's training. And yes, Zenryu had held back on training them, but still, that level of power the King now wielded allowed him to one-shot the demon lord, along with the demon lord's elites, ending the invasion in a single decisive moment.
"I thank you. Because of you, my world shall experience peace for years to come. I can never express how grateful I am." The King bowed gratefully while holding out a storage ring that contained the treasures they got from the demons, plus other treasures this world had prepared for Zenryu.
"You need not thank me. Just ensure that my teaching isn't forgotten. I don't want to be summoned again five hundred years later because the next king has forgotten the importance of war." Zenryu joked while taking the ring.
"How could I do such a thing and bring shame upon you?" The King said seriously, watching as Zenryu slowly faded from this world, his form growing transparent until he fully disappeared.
"Is it all written down?" The King asked, turning towards a man with glasses.
"Yes, the great teachings of Lord Zenryu shall never be forgotten. With his teachings, our empire is sure to thrive to heights never seen before..." The man said seriously, already thinking of how this knowledge would shape generations to come.
[You have passed your Impossible Grade trial with a perfect score of 100. You have done the impossible.]
As Zenryu appeared back in the tower, only a few seconds had passed, since of course time flowed differently within the trial.
[Congratulations, Zero, for being the first person ever to complete a six-star trial with a score of 100%. You have done the impossible. You have been given the title: The Impossible.]
Throughout the whole tower, everyone received the message. Be it the gods located on the higher floors or those still struggling on the first floor, countless powerful beings were alarmed by the announcement, for this was indeed the first time something like this had ever happened in the tower's history.
[You may pick two of any ability, item, or bloodline. Note that the list given below is special, so all abilities and items will not be nerfed due to your current capability.]
[The Almighty], [Infinity], [Limitless], [Vector Control], [The Goal Of All Life Is Death], [Return To Zero], [Uchiha Bloodline], [Raphael, Lord of Wisdom], [Legendary Saiyan Bloodline], [Death Note], [Gae Bolg], [Ultra Ego], [Fire Dragon Slayer Magic], [Full Counter], [Ten Shadows Technique]... Etc
The list was long, filled with powers that would make anyone pause to consider their options carefully. But Zenryu already knew what he wanted. He selected The Almighty and the Legendary Saiyan Bloodline. He picked the Saiyan Bloodline because he wanted to be able to transform. There were better options, but the power boost the Saiyan Bloodline offered was too good to pass up.
[The Almighty] — The power of the Almighty is to see all that lies in the future, observing all possible futures like grains of sand scattered in the wind. However, this is only a portion of its true power. The real ability is to outright choose between the futures that lie before you, rewriting fate as you please to best suit your goals. You can even rewrite a future in which you have died, pulling yourself back from the brink of oblivion. It is said that any power The Almighty sees in the future will become its ally, growing incapable of harming the user at all.
Well, you guys know what the Legendary Super Saiyan Bloodline was, so no explanation was needed for that.
So, anyway, Zenryu gazed upon the infinite possibilities laid before him. Countless futures stretched out in every direction, each one holding different abilities, different powers, different paths. And of course, he used The End to copy the infinite set of abilities displayed for him. He quickly gained thousands of powers and abilities, mastering them all instantly to 120%.
Wasting no time, he created clones that teleported away the moment they formed. Yeah, he had seen teleportation spells and abilities in those futures, so naturally, he could copy them all. Without a moment of hesitation, he began heading to higher floors while leaving clones behind on the lower floors to collect everything he might have missed.
He arrived on the 21st floor. The max level here was 5,000. At that level, one could destroy stars with a single attack, which was something even the current Zenryu couldn't do. But Zenryu was a monster in every sense of the word.
Using The Almighty, he peered into the futures of every being on this floor, copied all of their abilities, and easily overwhelmed everything in his path before shooting to even higher floors. His power level skyrocketed as he fought battle after battle, quickly reaching a point where he could even fight Dragon Ball Super Goku on equal footing. That was how overpowered the Legendary Saiyan Bloodline truly was.
[System Holder, Zero, has collected all of the opportunities left behind on the 100th Floor. Zero has also collected all opportunities from the first to the 100th floor. As the first person to ever accomplish such an impossible task, all within the span of two days, Zero has been given the chance to pick five extreme grade rewards from the system.]
Zenryu grinned at this notification. The rewards he could get were not something to take lightly. The system rewards it offered ranged from low-grade all the way up to extreme grade abilities.
Low-grade abilities were useless abilities, the kind that would barely help anyone. Zenryu's system didn't even bother offering such things. At most, it offered mid-grade abilities, such as a basic clone jutsu. The extreme grade abilities, on the other hand, were on the level of The Almighty and similar powers. Pretty much hax abilities that could warp the rules of reality.
In other words, Zenryu could obtain things around the same level of power as The Almighty. So the Legendary Saiyan Bloodline and others like it were graded as extreme.
"Raphael, Lord of Wisdom," Zenryu said calmly, his choice already made. He needed Raphael, as it had the power to accomplish many things so long as it collected enough information. After that, he picked The Goal of All Life Is Death, The Soul King Bloodline, Shub-Niggurath Lord of Abundance, and The Hogyoku.
'...To think I'm not even at level 14 yet.' Zenryu thought while cracking his neck, feeling the power coursing through his body.
To sum things up, Raphael had the ability to allow Zenryu to think millions of times faster than any normal being, the ability to analyze and assess any target down to their core, cast magic instantly without any need for chants or preparation, gain a full understanding of all non-concealed phenomena, fuse two targets into one, and lastly, separate one target into two.
The Goal of All Life Is Death was simple in concept but terrifying in execution. It was a buff skill that affected the next instant death spell, allowing that spell to bypass all resistances and immunity entirely, ensuring that it would 100% kill its target no matter what defenses they possessed.
The Soul King Bloodline came with many abilities that defied common sense. For example, the power to turn imagination into reality, evolution that allowed endless growth, the power to turn damage received into strength, the ability to accomplish the impossible through, and more.
Shub-Niggurath, Lord of Abundance, was an ability that allowed the user to create entirely new abilities based on information gained from analysis. It also granted the ability to create copies of abilities one already possessed, the power to grant skills to others and take them back at will, and lastly, the power to turn abilities into raw data which could be converted back into an ability at any time.
'...Go ahead, Raphael. Fuse my abilities.' With that command, Raphael got to work without delay. First, Raphael took the ability from The Almighty and fused it with The End.
[The Almighty End] — Allows the user to see infinite possibilities, countless futures in which the user can pick any outcome and rewrite fate itself. Any and all abilities seen using this power will instantly be mastered and evolved, as if the ability has been trained infinitely across countless lifetimes, allowing it to transcend its former limitations entirely.
'...Not bad.' Zenryu thought with satisfaction as he activated The Almighty. He instantly learned every spell he saw, each ability now far more powerful than what his old self could have ever hoped to wield.
Raphael went on to take The Goal of All Life Is Death, fusing it with The Almighty and birthing the Death Almighty. Raphael then fused The Goal of All Life Is Death with The End, birthing True Goals.
Next, he fused the Hogyoku with the Gate of Babylon, ensuring that the Gate of Babylon would evolve to truly suit him and grow alongside his power.
What was the Hogyoku? The Hogyoku's power was the ability to absorb the desires of those around it and manifest them into reality, turning wishes into truth. However, this power was not without limitations. The Hogyoku itself was merely a guiding force—it could only manifest the desires of those with the strength to carry them out on their own.
Naturally, Zenryu had copied that ability as well. He also used the Hogyoku to turn himself into a hollow, since he wanted even more power-ups to stack onto what he already had. Naturally, he took the Zenkai boost and fused it with The Almighty and his other abilities, creating stronger and more potent versions of the Zenkai boost that would push him further with every battle.
