Chapter 2 - Even Gods Hesitate

Lin yawned.

The hall was empty. No teachers, no classmates, no administrators. Just him and the faint hum of the system floating above his head.

Great, he muttered. Looks like I'm the only one who doesn't get a cool skill or sword."

He reached for the system screen. It flickered. A new message appeared:

Observation Alert: Multiple high tier hostile intents detected within dimensional proximity.

Action: Automatic neutralization engaged.

Lin tilted his head. Huh. I don't feel any different.

That's because he wasn't supposed to. Lin had no control over this ability. It worked before he even realized it existed.

Far above, in the Celestial Throne, gods convened.

One god, tall and silver-skinned, spoke first. The child he is not a normal human."

Another, draped in starry black, hissed I tried to erase him My power it failed. All of it. Impossible.

A third god whispered, trembling, Even thinking about harming him it.

Their voices broke.

The very thought of intent to kill Lin caused immediate, absolute annihilation of the would be attacker.

Some of the gods tried indirect methods:

Sending proxies

Possessing mortals

Summoning monsters

All failed.

Not one attacker survived long enough to even touch Lin.

And then came the whispers.

Is is he a god.

No he's beyond gods.

The laws of causality refuse him.

Back in the hall, Lin rubbed his eyes.

He didn't know why the godly voices sounded panicked in his head. They weren't supposed to be able to reach him like that.

System Message: Unauthorized attack detected.

Result: Threat eliminated.

Lin sighed and stretched. "Man, everyone else is probably dying in some dungeon or something. Hope they survive maybe.

Suddenly, the system flickered again.

Observation: A high-level Demon King is approaching.

Note: All lethal intent will be executed.

Lin shrugged. Cool. Maybe someone fun to fight.

He walked outside.

The sky was a bruised swirl of reds and blacks. Mountains floated like shattered pieces of glass. Winds carried whispers of despair.

And then he saw it:

A Demon King, massive and clad in jagged black armor, eyes glowing red, approached.

It raised a claw. The air thickened with intent: kill Lin Kade.

Lin yawned again.

The Demon King never finished the gesture. Its armor shattered. Its eyes blinked once, in disbelief. Then it disappeared.

The world went silent.

Even the mountains seemed to pause.

Lin scratched his head. "Okay… that's… new.

Far away, gods were screaming.

And somewhere in a shadowed plane, Outer Beings were whispering, confused.

What is this.

No system can track him.

Even death refuses him.

Lin sighed. "Great. Looks like I'm stuck being the unstoppable kid everyone hates for no reason. Guess I'll just… walk around.

And so, the world began its slow, terrifying realization:

Intent doesn't matter. Power doesn't matter. Even gods fear Lin Kade.
