I stood at the edge of the Moon Lake, my chest heaving as the "Living Flame" on my cheek finally settled into a rhythmic, comforting hum. The sight before me was breathtaking—the lake didn't just reflect the moon; it looked as though the moon itself had fallen from the heavens and was resting peacefully in the basin of the earth.
I saw other Felyr participants scattered along the banks, but they were as still as statues, their gazes locked onto the glowing water.
"Mirael!" I called out, spotting her small silhouette on the opposite side.
She didn't look up. She was staring downward, her small shoulders tense. I stepped closer to the water's edge, my curiosity piqued. What is it? What are they all seeing?
The moment my eyes locked onto my own reflection, the world around the lake vanished.
