"Team 10 meet me at training ground 10." Said the unknown voice.

Training ground 10
"Hello team you will tell me your like, dislikes, dreams, and hobbies. You first pineapple head" said the teams sensei.
"My name Shikamaru Nara I like watching the clouds and hanging out with Choji and Naruto. I dislike troublesome people. My dream is to be able to sleep without being disturbed. And my hobbies are watching clouds." Said Shikamaru in a tired voice.
"You next blue eyes," said the team's sensei.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki I like ramen, training, and fire ninjutsu. I dislike people who judge a person without getting to know them. My dream is to be the strongest Hokage. My hobbies are... I've never thought about it." Said Naruto
"Now you ponytail." Said the sensei.
"My name is Ino Yamanaka. I like Sasuke flowers and helping my parents with their shop. I dislike billboard brow. My dreams are to surpass my dad. And my hobbies are planting flowers." Said Ino
"Alright, my name is Asuma Sarutobi tomorrow at 10:00 am meet me here." Said Asuma
Time skip
10 am Training ground 10
"Good morning, you all. I know that you all passed the academy but that was false. The true Genin test is that you three will have to land one hit on me." Said Asuma
"Alright, let's do it!" Naruto said excitedly.
Begin a commanding voice said. The test had begun all three Genin ran into the forest. 3 minutes later, three Naruto had come out of the forest. Somewhere else in the forest.
"Hey, Shika" Naruto said, scaring Shikamaru.
"What, Naruto, what do you need." Said Shikamaru as he looked around
"Well Shika I know the real meaning behind the test" Naruto boasted with pride.
Naruto proceed to tell Shikamaru the plan and the meaning behind the test. They made their way to Ino and did the same thing.
Naruto had just got the memories from his clones as they made their way out of the forest to the clearing. Naruto was the first to arrive. Flashing through hand signs, then saying, "Fire style: Great fireball jutsu." As Naruto finished, a bright red fireball came towards Asuma. As Asuma tried to move out of the way, he realized he couldn't. He looked back to see Shikamaru with his hands in the Rat hand sign.
As the fireball drew closer it hit Asuma as Naruto dispelled the Jutsu. He saw nothing. 'Damit, a shadow clone.' Just as Naruto was about to move, he had to put his arms up to block a punch that had come from Asuma. It was now a taijutsu battle. Naruto went for a kick to the head, only for his leg to be caught. Next, Asuma swept Naruto's leg, making him fall. Shikamaru came from behind to attack Asuma, who swapped with a log.
From behind the boys heard. "Wind release: Dust cloud jutsu." As Asuma cast the jutsu, he bit down hard, igniting the Wind release jutsu. Shikamaru and Naruto had managed to get second degree burn. Luckily for Naruto, he started healing as the jutsu was dispelled. Naruto and Shikamaru took off after Asuma.
As the three engage in a Taijustu battle, Asuma was overwhelming the two until he saw Ino from behind a tree in the forest, they made eye contact for a split second and in that second, Asuma lost control of his body, allowing Shikamaru and Naruto to land a hit on him.
When Asuma gained back control of his body he passed his team for using teamwork.
"Yes, I passed but that's only the first step!" Said Naruto excited.
"Alright team for the next three weeks we will be training." Said Asuma with a grin.
After he said that team 10 got chills that ran down their backs.
Timeskip three weeks
Team ten for the past three weeks had been doing D ranks. One mission had ended with Naruto's face in dog poop, another had Shikamaru's face littered with claw marks, and Ino's clothes covered in cow poop. But finally, the three weeks were over. They were heading towards the hokages office. When they finally arrived, Asuma had asked for a C Rank.
"Ah, here it is, the mission is to eliminate bandits that have been raiding and killing our food suppliers before they reach the village." Said the Hokage in a practiced tone before tossing the scroll to Asuma.
Asuma caught the scroll with a practiced ease before bowing and leaving.
Outside the office, Asuma had explained the mission in its finer details to the team before dismissing them to go pack.
Back inside Naruto's apartment, he began talking to the fox.
"Hey fox it'll be my first outside the walls." Said Naruto excitedly
"You shouldn't be so excited, as this is a serious mission, you will have to take someone else's life," Said the nine tails cooly.
The fox felt the boy's mood sour as he told Naruto what Asuma had not told him
"Your team up to this point had been doing soft missions its finally time to introduce you to the real ninja world..." The Kyubi paused before continuing, "The faster you get this over with, the better it is for you."
"Yeah, you're right," Naruto replied, but it was obvious to the fox that he didn't wanna do it.
"It's ok kit it needs to be done." Said the nine tails in a monotone voice.
"Yeah, let's start packing," Replied Naruto.
Main Gate
"Alright, team, today's mission will require you all to get your first kills." Said Asuma, looking at his team sympathetically.
After that, the team took off to the trees. After hours, the night had finally set in. "Alright, team we will take turns patrolling. Shikamaru and Naruto first, then me and Ino." Said Asuma
The team nodded in understanding. Naruto and Shikamaru had taken point, watching over the camp while Ino and Asuma slept.
"I'm so bored I wish I could sleep." Said Shikamaru and Naruto at the same time, they both laughed.
Naruto and Shikamaru had been friends since that day when they were both watching Clouds.
Flashback 5 years ago
A seven-year-old Naruto had never had friends. Today Naruto was walking to the Hokage's monument to watch clouds pass. That was when he had met Shikamaru.
He walked up to the boy, "Hey, what's your name." Said Naruto curiously
"Name Shikamaru, yours." Replied the boy who looked the same age as him.
"Naruto."
"Cool, why are you up here?" Asked Shikamaru
"To watch the clouds." Said Naruto.
"Me to" from that day the two had went on more adventures that deepened their bond eventually turning them into best Friends.
Present Time
The night had gone smoothly, nothing happened. Then the team had finally arrived at the bandit camp.
"Alright, team, the plan is that Ino will lure them out. When that happens, we will then kill them but keep one alive to get info. Naruto and I will then do a combo jutsu. To burn down the building when people run out, Shika I want you to paralyze them we will kill them and I will fight the leader." Said Asuma looking at them seriously.
"Yes sensei" They all said.
