Chapter 460: Quack Quack Quack! Bald Heads Can Be Playboys Too

Tobitake Tonbo stepped forward to take a look and realized—wasn't this his youngest son?!

How did he already have his arm around a girl?

With a dummy like him, could he actually pull off courting a girl?

Hmm... Maybe the girl was blind enough to fall for a dense guy like him.

Wait... Isn't that Asuma's daughter? Wait... Could they end up becoming in-laws?

Good kid! Who knew he had this kind of skill in him?

Not bad. Not bad at all.

"Is there really any need to get so worked up over this? They're just kids. Leave them be—horsing around like that is totally normal," Tonbo remarked.

Since it was his own son, he naturally had to defend him.

Hearing this, Asuma flew into a rage. "You damn bastard! Don't think I don't know what you're scheming! When Saitama gets home, you better reign him in and make sure he stays away from my daughter!"

He was completely fuming.

Even though he and Tonbo were old classmates and Tonbo's family background was exceptionally solid... Saitama... As if Asuma didn't know! Saitama was dense as a brick, making him utterly incompatible with his smart, sharp daughter.

At least, that was how Asuma saw it.

And since kids' thoughts were completely different from adults', he had come straight to Tonbo, hoping Tonbo would properly discipline his own son.

"Don't be like that. If we interfere in kids' business, it'll only make them uncomfortable. It's much better to just let nature take its course."

Tonbo waved a hand dismissively, signaling that he didn't mind in the slightest.

Asuma was so furious steam practically billowed from his head. "I don't care! If you won't discipline him, I'll do it for you!"

"Hey, hey, you're a grown man—why act like a kid? How about I let you punch me once to vent your frustration, alright?"

Tonbo simply refused to back down.

He actually thought this was great.

His son and Sarutobi Mirai—what a fantastic match!

Who knows? Maybe as they played around, it would actually become official.

Heh heh.

That way, he wouldn't have to worry about his youngest son's lifelong happiness down the road.

Tobitake Tosei walked over as well and glanced at the photograph in Asuma's hand. "Oh? Isn't that my youngest grandson? Not bad at all—already learning how to pick up girls! At this rate, he'll be getting married in no time once he grows up. Impressive!"

"..."

Tonbo stood speechless. Isn't that just adding fuel to the fire?

Sure enough.

Asuma's face turned bright crimson, his fists clenching so tight his knuckles popped.

"I'm beating both of you up!"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

...

In front of the Academy gates.

"Mirai, bye-bye! I'll buy you more food tomorrow! I'm heading home first!"

Saitama waved at Sarutobi Mirai, then kicked off the ground like a motor-driven rocket, vanishing from sight in an instant.

Looking at the ice cream in her hand, Mirai stood in dumbfounded silence.

That guy is so ridiculously simple-minded.

And that's precisely what makes him such a headache.

Because you can't reason with him at all!

"Woah woah woah! Mirai, you're actually dating Saitama?! Curse it... Isn't that guy just a little bit better at taijutsu? How could you fall for him? Dammit..."

A boy walked up to Mirai, his face filled with utter bewilderment.

"How about you break up with Saitama and date me instead? I'm the one who likes you the most!" The boy launched straight into a confession.

Mirai was completely lost for words.

She just wanted to cast a quick genjutsu to send him away.

"Hahaha, Mirai! I never imagined you'd date Saitama! That works out, though—Saitama is super strong!"

Just then, several girls walked over to Mirai's side, teasing her playfully.

"You guys..."

"Sigh, no need to deny it, we all saw it! You were training together, and Saitama had his arm wrapped around you and bought you so much food. Must be nice~ I heard Saitama's family is super rich..."

These girls were all Mirai's friends, and now they were giggling endlessly as they teased her with gossip.

Since Mirai already had a boyfriend, the handsome boys in class were all theirs now!

Hahahahaha!

Mirai facepalmed. "We are not in that kind of relationship! Besides, my family is super rich too..."

Her parents were both Jonin, her cousin was a Jonin, and many members of her clan were Jonin too—her family had plenty of money.

"Right, right, we get it, we totally get it, haha!"

The girls nodded in unison, pretending to understand completely.

Mirai let out a soft sigh, thinking to herself: Still, Saitama's strength is seriously impressive.

She estimated that even when her cousin Konohamaru was an Academy student, he wouldn't have been a match for Saitama.

"So, Mirai, will you be my girlfriend?" the boy asked again, eyes filled with hopeful expectation.

Mirai glared at him sharply. "Get lost."

Casting a subtle genjutsu, she watched as the boy turned and walked away meekly.

...

Saitama arrived back home.

He spotted his mom casually mopping the floor out of boredom, while his dad and grandfather were waiting expectantly for his return.

Upon seeing Saitama, both of their faces lit up with delight.

"Come here, Saitama! Come let Grandpa take a look at you," Tobitake Tosei called out.

Saitama asked, "What's up, Grandpa?"

Tonbo looked at Saitama with deep satisfaction as well.

It was all worth it—the father-son duo taking a beating from Asuma without retaliating, refusing to back down or promise to keep Saitama away from Asuma's daughter.

Tosei continued, "Tell me, did you meet any girls at school?"

"Girls? Dad told me long ago that I should hang out with girls as much as possible! Of course I did!" Saitama thought he was pretty dense, but now he felt his grandpa was pretty dense too.

Tosei shot Tonbo a glare, causing Tonbo to shrink his head back slightly, before asking further, "Then did you buy any food for the girls? Did you talk with them a lot?"

"Grandpa, how did you know I bought food for a girl? Yeah, I bought plenty! Dad said if a girl gets mad, you have to learn to buy her food, so I did!" Saitama answered with complete honesty.

"Is that so? You weren't stingy, were you?" Tosei probed.

Saitama replied, "Stingy? What's that? Anyway, I bought her a ton of food—I spent almost all the allowance Mom gave me!"

Saying that, he dug into his pockets and pulled out a tiny handful of loose change.

"This is all that's left."

The moment the words left his mouth, father and son shifted their gazes toward Ayame, who had stopped mopping and was stealthily poking her head over to listen.

Hearing Saitama's words, Ayame glanced at the loose change in his hand and nodded at them approvingly. "As expected of my son—so generous!"

Hearing this, Tonbo grinned happily.

This proved his son had made a solid first impression on the girl.

Receiving his mother's praise, Saitama beamed with a wide grin.

"Of course! I'm the most generous Saitama around!"

"Good, good, good! I'll give you extra allowance money from now on! Don't skimp—buy her meals, treat her to delicious snacks, got it?" Ayame said with a sweet smile.

Oh yeah!

As expected of her child—even if he was a bit dense, he was blessed with good fortune.

As for money, that was just a number.

If carrying too much cash weren't a hassle, she would have stuffed Saitama's pockets to the brim.

Saitama nodded eagerly. "Will do! Today I learned a new taijutsu move, but I listened to Dad and held back on the girl. Still, I ended up making her mad anyway."

He chalked the reason for Sarutobi Mirai's anger up to his own mistake.

Next time, I won't make her mad.
