I looked around me… everyone was silent. Some of them were close to Mira, and some didn't even know her, yet they were all grieving for her. I walked with them until we reached her.
There it was—her picture, beautifully framed and surrounded by white flowers. I tried to hold my emotions inside, but I couldn't. I was so frustrated… Why wasn't I able to protect her? I promised her… so how did this happen?
I clenched my fists. My head was lowered, and strands of my hair fell over my face, soaked by the rain.
I loved her so much.
I lifted my head slightly and whispered to the sky,
"I needed you…"
My parents could feel what I was going through.
In my hand was a single flower. I carefully placed it beside her picture. I kept speaking silently to myself while tears slowly fell down my face.
Losing someone you love is one of the worst feelings in the world.
But that doesn't mean life ends.
I just wished I could hold her hand one more time… and tell her that I still miss her so much.
That I will always remember her.
That I love her.
Then I left the place.
I returned home feeling depressed, sad, and angry at the same time. I spent long hours sitting in my room, isolating myself from everyone. Even at school, I stayed completely alone. I didn't want anyone near me.
My parents even brought a psychiatrist to help me. It was normal—they were trying their best to understand me and help me heal.
After a long time, days slowly started to feel normal again. I would never forget our memories together… but sometimes forgetting a little is the only way to protect your heart from guilt and pain.
Still… there was one thing I would never let go of.
Revenge.
Those people who did this… my mission wasn't over. I was planning everything carefully. This would be my answer—for me, and for Mira.
I sat near the slightly open window. The dim light from outside filled the room. In my hand were her photos. I would keep them… but I wouldn't look at them all the time.
My strength was telling me something.
Justice.
I looked at myself in the mirror. I felt like I had become a colder person… or maybe just someone who had gotten used to pain.
I had already lost so many people.
My real mother…
My grandmother…
My missing sister…
People who once supported me…
And now Mira.
Everyone kept leaving.
But I couldn't let this continue.
I decided to focus on my skills. I went back to everything I had seen before, analyzing every small detail. I checked everything again and again, trying to become sharper and more aware.
Sleep no longer mattered.
I kept thinking.
Then I realized something…
Those faces felt familiar.
Ryon… and his group.
I was almost certain it was them, but I needed proof. I had noticed hints before… signals… strange behaviors.
Then suddenly, it clicked in my mind.
I would take revenge… my own way. Quietly. Secretly. Without anyone knowing.
That was the best way.
I left the house and walked alone through the streets. Quiet. Mysterious. Heading toward the same place as before.
I looked at the watch on my wrist and put on my headphones. The music in my ears was energetic, pushing my body forward, but my mind stayed calm.
I pulled my hood over my head and blended into the crowded street.
Then I saw them.
They were walking together, laughing.
It was them.
What were they doing here?
They entered a place that no one seemed to know about. I stayed far away, watching carefully without letting them notice me.
After a few minutes, I slowly approached the building.
I looked around—left and right—before entering quietly.
The place was empty. My footsteps echoed in the silence. I moved step by step.
Strange… the entire place was empty.
Then I noticed another door.
I slowly grabbed the handle and opened it just a little.
Inside, they were gathered together… talking.
About people with supernatural powers.
Then suddenly…
They started talking about me.
I listened carefully.
"Listen carefully. We're finally done dealing with people who have powers."
Another voice replied,
"That's good. Those people could become a threat to society… like Kalin. What should we do about him? Now that his girlfriend is gone, he must be weaker."
Miron spoke next.
"That was a smart first step. He can't do anything now. The important thing is that we either make his power disappear… or we take it from him."
Another man asked,
"Should we just eliminate him too?"
Miron paused.
"Maybe. His presence here is dangerous. He hides too many things. But if we try to expose him directly, he might create another story to hide everything."
They started laughing.
"Come on… let's play a little."
Another voice said excitedly,
"Miron, you're strong. You can do it. Who starts first?"
"Fine… I'll start."
Someone else laughed.
"We'll become the strongest. We'll protect the environment around us. Everyone will stand with us once they understand the hidden power."
My eyes widened.
So it was really them.
I slowly closed the door again, carefully… silently.
Then I stepped back.
They were the ones who did this.
My heart started beating faster.
Should I retreat…
Or should I walk in right now and stop them?
