Bella's POV
Seeing her proud, defiant look, I stared at Rosalind with surprise and flashed her a thumbs-up. "Damn, that was good!"
Back when we were kids, Rosalind always stood up for anyone getting picked on and had my back without fail.
Hard to believe that after all this time, her fierce streak hadn't dimmed one bit.
Rosalind's loyalty to me wasn't just about her personality—though that was part of it. The real reason ran deeper: I'd saved her life when we were children.
The first time I saw Rosalind, she was thrashing desperately in a hole in the frozen lake.
I didn't think twice before reaching out and dragging her to safety.
After that day, Rosalind became my ride-or-die, the kind of friend I could tell anything.
While Rosalind never spilled about how she'd ended up in that ice hole, her whole attitude toward Ivy had flipped completely.
