The chaos erupted with such force that Helena couldn't ignore it.
Panicked, Helena dispatched her servant to investigate. The woman returned quickly, breathless. "Your Highness, something terrible has happened to Lady Ivy from the Fairfax household."
"What's happened to her?" Helena demanded, her brow creasing with worry.
The servant's eyes were wide with terror as she stammered, "Your Highness, they're saying Lady Bella and Lady Ivy were bathing in the hot springs together, but somehow Lady Ivy got injured. When they discovered her, blood was still pouring from her chest, and she was already dead."
Helena drew in a sharp breath. "Dead?"
A chill ran down Helena's spine, and inexplicably, Bella flashed through her thoughts.
Helena remembered how Bella had been the one pushing for this hot spring visit.
Then Ivy had decided to join them.
'This feels far too calculated to be mere chance,' Helena mused.
'Did Bella orchestrate this entire situation deliberately?'
