Chapter 33 - chapter 33: His Couch, His Brother

The wind was sharp as they stepped off the Namsan Tower cable car, but neither Sera nor Jisoo felt it.

Her fingers brushed his as they walked. His hand trembled slightly before lacing with hers.

Not a word was spoken about the kiss.

They didn't need to.

It lingered on their lips. In their heartbeat. In every stolen glance that made them both look away too quickly.

"Do you… want to come over?"

Jisoo cleared his throat as they reached the subway steps.

"You know my place is close from here," he mumbled. "If you're not tired… we could maybe, uh—watch something?"

Sera blinked.

He wasn't looking at her — his eyes were on the ground, cheeks flushed red.

"I mean, like—only if you want to. I—"

"I want to," she said quickly, smiling. "I'd like that."

His shoulders relaxed, just a little.

The Door Unlocks. So Does Everything Else.

Jisoo's apartment was dim, quiet —

He kicked off his shoes while she took off her coat slowly, scanning the space.

Neat. Minimal. As always. Lived-in.

His world.

"Make yourself comfortable," he murmured, setting down his keys. "I'll grab a blanket."

But when he turned around again, she was already in front of him.

"Hey," she said softly.

He looked at her— and she was suddenly so close.

Her hands found his chest. His lips parted. The tension snapped like a pulled thread.

They kissed like they had hours to burn.

Jisoo's fingers clutched her waist, guiding her gently down onto the couch. Her hands slid into his hair, tugging him closer.

Breaths grew louder.

Kisses deeper.

Coats forgotten, bodies pulled together, lips tasting every piece of silence they'd once buried.

He kissed down her jaw, his voice rasping in a breath, "Sera…"

She whispered his name back, like a promise.

Her fingers traced the bruises on his cheek, his neck.

He didn't flinch.

If anything, he leaned into her.

Just as his hand slid beneath her shirt—

CLACK.

A soft sound. A shift of movement. The quiet groan of a floorboard.

They froze.

Jisoo's head snapped up.

Sera sat upright, breath hitched, hair tousled, lips swollen.

And then—

"You're seriously doing this here?"

A voice. Dry. Familiar.

Jisoo's brother.

Leaning against the kitchen doorway, sipping water, very unimpressed.

Sera's soul left her body.

Jisoo groaned and nearly dropped his head into the couch cushion.

"I—didn't know you were home," Jisoo muttered.

"Clearly." His brother raised an eyebrow. "Next time maybe check."

"We weren't— I mean—" Sera stammered, redder than ever.

"Right." The brother turned and walked back into the hallway, muttering, "Use protection."

The door to the guest room shut behind him.

Jisoo looked at Sera.

She looked at him.

Then both burst into nervous, muffled laughter.
