The room was very bright. The sun streamed through the window, the thin white curtain making it seem brighter. You could see the front lawn through it. The room was small and square, mostly white.
The woman sitting in a wheelchair had her hands folded on her lap. The hair on top of her hair had turned grey, but the rest was still dark. She had it tied behind her head in a low bun. She wore light blue pajamas and a grey shawl over her shoulders. The wrinkles on her face made her look older than she was, or so I thought.
Her dark eyes were stuck to the window, looking outside but not seeing anything. It didn't look like anybody was home.
But the most important thing was that she wasn't alone.
"Hello, Victoria."
