Chapter 1 - System Activate

Chapter 1: System Activated — Indifference

"Home."

Kyle dropped onto the couch, eyes half-lidded, expression unreadable.

"Kyle?" Cynthia stepped out from the room, long silver hair swaying. A Gible toddled after her. "You're back already? You didn't even tell me."

Kyle shrugged. "Didn't matter."

Cynthia froze for half a second, then puffed her cheeks and wiped at her eyes with theatrical flair. "My little brother leaves to be independent and forgets his sister. How tragic."

Kyle glanced at her once. He said nothing.

The silence made Cynthia stop pretending. She sat beside him, close—closer than necessary. "Summer camp. Was it boring?"

"It was fine."

"Friends?"

"A few."

Cynthia narrowed her eyes. "From where?"

"All over."

Kyle pulled out his phone and showed a picture. A girl with honey-colored hair smiled at the camera.

"This is Serena. Kalos."

Cynthia stared for a moment too long.

"…Kalos," she repeated, relieved despite herself. "Far."

Kyle didn't comment. He rarely did.

"I'm tired," he said, already standing. "Good night."

Cynthia watched him go, fingers tightening.

You're still mine, she thought.

Kyle lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling. His face was calm—always calm.

He was five years old.

A reincarnator.

His parents had died alongside Cynthia's while exploring ruins. Cynthia's grandmother raised them both. To the world, Cynthia was his sister.

To Kyle, she was the only thing that mattered.

Everything else was background noise.

Then—

[System activated. Starter gift package delivered.]

Kyle blinked.

"No reaction required," he muttered.

He entered the system space without excitement.

"Let's finish this quickly."

[Newbie gift opened.]

Lucky Aura (Junior)

Lucky Berry

Two Legendary Pokémon Draws

Three Normal Draws

Complete Arceus Plate Set

Special Pokémon Egg

Kyle nodded. "Efficient."

Chapter 2: Lottery — The Black Sky Dragon

Kyle examined the egg.

[Special Pokémon Egg: Hatches into the host's most compatible Pokémon. Maximum potential.]

"Fine."

He activated the Legendary Draw.

He ate the Lucky Berry without ceremony.

"Stop."

The wheel froze.

[Congratulations. Shiny Rayquaza acquired.]

Kyle stared.

"…Acceptable."

A black dragon coiled through the system sky, eyes sharp yet gentle as they rested on Kyle.

Female.

Rayquaza lowered her head.

Kyle reached out.

From that moment on, every Pokémon that would follow—Latias, Lugia, Kyogre, Groudon, Gardevoir—would be the same.

Female.

Loyal.

Quietly affectionate.

Kyle never showed care openly.

He never smiled at them in public.

But they knew.

When humans were absent, they clung to him instinctively.

Cynthia, when traveling with Kyle, did the same.

At night, she slept against his side without hesitation, fingers curled into his shirt, possessive even in sleep.

Kyle allowed it.

Because she was his sister.

Because she was his world.

Timeline Alignment

Kyle's journey unfolds parallel to the original Pokémon anime.

Ash Ketchum begins his Sinnoh journey.

Ash grows.

Kyle dominates.

Ash struggles in the Sinnoh League.

Kyle passes through regions simultaneously, winning leagues, competitions, and invitation-only battles without spectacle.

A silent champion.

Handsome, distant, untouchable.

People stare.

Pokémon bow.

Kyle does not care.

Only Cynthia matters.

And the legends that follow him into the sky.
