After reaching five kilometers away from the group, she jumped out of the shadow to conserve her stamina and leaned against a nearby tree.
She then touched the Communication Earphone (CE) on her right ear and called Clementine.
"Clementine, I found them. Go to my location."
"Got it~"
She frowned upon hearing her cheerful voice.
She hoped Clementine wouldn't ruin their master plan by prioritizing her desires, but knowing him, he was probably going to monitor them when they took action.
After waiting for fifteen minutes, she felt Clementine's presence getting closer as she looked in her direction.
"Sorry for waiting, Tira~"
Clementine came out from behind the surrounding trees and approached her while waving her hand with a smile.
She returned it with a nod and a smile on her face.
From the few days she had known her, she had more or less come to understand her character, except for some of her disturbing habits. She was surprisingly obedient and fun to be around.
Maybe it's because the spell his master used is a higher tier than the one he used on her in the past? That may be the reason why Clementine seems to be at ease despite being enslaved.
She remembers quite vividly how she felt when she was under her master's control in the past.
The intense fear of being punished and the desire to free herself were the only things that mattered the most to her at the time, and she silently plotted the downfall of her master.
Thankfully, her master is quite kind and forgiving, except for the torture she received on the day they met, which she thinks he justified.
He did not do anything cruel to her afterward and, in fact, treated her kindly and helped her train to get stronger, so she really has a high opinion of him.
To this day, she still feels guilty about her past actions, but when she apologized to her master, he jokingly said that she had already paid for it with her body.
Although she feels embarrassed when he says that, instead it makes her more determined to pay back his generosity, even as far as sacrificing her life to him if necessary.
As she falls deep in thought, she hears Clementine's annoyed voice.
"Tira? Tira! Wake up!"
"Ah, no need to say it loudly; I hear you."
"What got into you? You stare into the distance while making a strange face."
"It's nothing, just remembering the past."
"Is that so?"
Clementine stared at her suspiciously before her mouth stretched into a wide grin and said, "So I hear you found the target; where are they?"
"In that direction, five kilometers away."
Clementine looked in the direction of her finger before turning back to her with a confused look.
"Why are you this far away from them then? Shouldn't we be getting closer to them so we can get a better chance of achieving our goal? Even though this sniper can shoot at this distance, the overall power should be reduced when the bullet reaches the target. Besides, I am not that skillful yet to shoot from five kilometers away."
Clementine said and then softly smiled as she glanced back at the sniper case on her back; she was really fond of that weapon, huh?
She remembered clearly her shocked face a few days ago when she tried the weapon for the first time as she shot it at the orichalcum plate, penetrating it like paper.
Since then, she had been working hard to master the weapon and improve her aim, listening intensely to their master's guidance about how to properly use the weapon and the way to take care of it.
"I caught a glimpse of someone fitting the description you gave us of the first seat, so I made sure to be extra careful."
"Ahh, that makes sense."
Clementine nodded her head in understanding; she then looked up at her with exasperation in her eyes.
"But, even though he is Godkin, isn't it a bit too much keeping distance for five kilometers? How the fuck are we going to do our mission?"
"Good point. We can just slowly approach them bit by bit until you are confident enough to accurately shoot the target. How about that?"
"Sure, with the magic item that our master gave, I shouldn't have a problem shooting from 2.5 kilometers. We should start from there."
"Good, let's go."
We immediately sprinted lightly toward the last direction the Black Scripture in.
As she gracefully dodged the branch of a tree in front of her, she heard Clementine's voice behind her.
"I've been meaning to ask this, but why hasn't the master made a move on me yet? I thought for sure he was going to devour me on the first day."
"Ahh."
Hearing that made her cheeks turn hotter. Why was she talking about this kind of topic when they still had a mission? Can't she put it off for later?
Grumbling, she opened her mouth and said,
"Master is patient; he doesn't want a hollow relationship where he can just fuck his slave whenever he wants. Like he said, that would be boring."
"Ah, I see. That's a relief; I wouldn't want to lose my first by being forced."
"Huh!?"
She instantly looked to her back in shock, staring at Clementine in disbelief. She must have misheard her words.
"W-what? W-why are you staring at me like that?"
"There is no way you're still a virgin."
"...what do you think I am?"
"A loose woman."
"Ugh!"
Her instant reply, without any hesitation, caused Clementine to reel back as if she had been punched in the gut.
"I never thought you would have that low an opinion of me."
"I got the impression you really are unhinged and would do anything for fun."
"Haaah... that only applies to torturing people; there is no way I want to give my body to some random weakling."
"I see; that's good then."
The conversation paused as she looked back toward the front, jumping from tree to tree while slowing down her speed when she noticed Clementine having a hard time catching up to her.
"By the way, I remember there is a famous warrior serving our master. Do you know where she is?"
"You mean Dancing Death?"
"Yeah."
"She's escorting another master's subordinate, the one who is taking care of all of his business, to the Theocracy."
"Theocracy? Why would they go there?"
"It seems the Theocracy wants to buy Splash Potions in large quantities; they go there to negotiate the price."
"Hmm, I think it's kind of ironic to have business with the country where we are going to kill their elite force. So when do you think she will go back?"
"Hahaha, that's true. As for when they return? Let's see..."
She thought for a moment before opening her mouth to answer her.
"I think they should go back in three days."
"Is it? I can't wait to have a fight with her, the famous Dancing Death who slaughtered ten thousand people with ease."
Hearing the challenge in her tone, she snorted and turned her head to the back while looking at Clementine in disdain.
"Ha! There is no way you can fight her; you are weak, and you will get beaten in seconds."
"Haaah!? What's your problem? You want to fight!?"
She chuckled, seeing her eyes narrow with killing intent, as she let out a bit of her aura and directed her killing intent toward her.
We continued to stare at each other with killing intent, and the first one to avert her eyes was Clementine, as she could see some sweat pouring down her face.
She smiled at that as she withdrew her aura while opening her mouth to talk to her in a gentle tone.
"You are the newest member of the one under the master's control. Although you are not the weakest, the one you are going to fight is the strongest, so if you want to challenge her, you must beat me first."
"Haaah... I understand. I am sorry for being conceited."
"It's good you are understanding."
She nodded her head in satisfaction. After that, we traveled in silence, and after one minute of sprinting, we finally reached 2.5 kilometers away from the Black Scripture.
"So, Clementine, can you monitor them from here and follow them if they begin to move? I am sure the telescope in your sniper has a [See Through] enchantment."
"Got it. So what are you gonna do?"
"I want to check how much closer we can get before being detected."
"I see. Be careful."
"Okay, see ya then."
Without hearing Clementine's reply, she parted ways from her while activating some of her presence concealment skills.
As she ran closer toward the Black Scripture, a thought suddenly entered her mind; she wondered how her master was doing. She was sure he was still dealing with that undead Player.
She hoped he was doing alright.
"◇"
Cold sweat flowed down his back, and he gulped his saliva in fear as he watched Ainz sit on his throne while revealing his true form.
On Ainz's left side is Albedo, wearing a gentle smile while holding Ginunggagap in her hand, although he can see disdain in her eyes as she looks toward him.
On Ainz's right are Demiurge and Cocytus. He can't read Demiurge's emotions, but he can sense a dangerous aura coming from him.
As for Cocytus, he is just breathing out frozen air while looking at him.
If it were just that, he wouldn't feel this bad, but on either side of him is an army of monsters.
There are dragons, undead, demons, and all sorts of monsters he doesn't know.
He doesn't know their exact number, but the fact that their presence can make this vast Throne Room feel cramped is terrifying, and all of them are looking at him and Ray with hostility.
"Now then, let me introduce myself. My name is Ainz Ooal Gown, the ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick."
Ainz's deep voice echoes in the hall as the red orb in his eye sockets fixates on him.
"Previously, you mentioned that you are a former Player; can you explain what you mean by that?"
He gulped his saliva and made a cough to calm himself, but just before he wanted to explain it, Demiurge took a step forward.
"My apologies, Lord Ainz, but I think they aren't yet in a position to hear your words. Kneel."
When nothing happened, all of the creatures in the Throne Room let out a murderous aura.
His body shivered in fright; he forgot that he and all his subordinates were equipped with anti-mind control equipment.
He immediately kneeled as he ordered Ray to do the same through our connection.
He didn't know what kind of expression she made as he was in front of her, but he could tell from our connection that she was in great fear.
If something bad happened, he had no choice but to abandon our body and let our soul escape.
He would rather not do it, though, as it would take a decade to recover.
"Stop it, Demiurge! He is my guest, and if he is indeed a Player, he should have useful information."
"My apologies, my lord!"
"Don't do that again without my approval. Also, Nfirea, there is no need for you to kneel."
"Yes, Lord Gown."
He raised himself up with Ray when he felt the surrounding hostility lessen, as he looked up toward Ainz.
"Now then, Nfirea, explain yourself."
"Before that, Lord Gown, I have a question."
"What is it?"
Hearing his words of approval, he took a deep breath as he let out the next phase of his plan.
"You are... Momonga, right?"
Silence reigned in the hall before commotion broke out as a lot of creatures in the Throne Room let out voices of confusion.
"Silence!"
Everyone was silenced as Ainz majestically waved his hand to the side. Ainz then looked at him with his eyes shining brighter.
"How do you know that name?"
He sensed faint hope in his voice as he took a deep breath again while looking at him in determination, despite his heart beating hard in nervousness.
