Sceptile clicked its tongue in frustration.
Aiden glanced at the watching professors and smiled faintly.

"Option One: Display Sceptile's Mega Evolution, overwhelm Blastoise, gain the professors' favor, and receive one Master Ball."
"Option Two: Do not use Mega Evolution, defeat Gary normally, and receive a random Mega Stone."
"Option Three: Hold back and lose to Gary, receiving a random Evolution Stone."

Silence.
Gary stared at the fallen Blastoise… then smiled bitterly.
"I surrender."
Brock snapped out of it and raised his hand.
"Gary forfeits! The winner of this league is—Aiden Flint of Littleroot Town, Hoenn!"
