[3rd POV]
It was absolutely big enough for the two of them. With them cuddling up against one another, they had enjoyed the warmth that it had provided, and they hadn't been doing anything inappropriate or anything like that. Not with Alex sleeping nearby on her own bed.
The two hadn't really fallen asleep until around one in the morning. Mostly because Haley liked to move around in her sleep, and while the bed was big enough for the two of them, was not exactly big enough to just roll around like crazy.
But after the nice sleep that night, Billie woke up with a short yawn, rubbing her eyes as she stretched. It was the weekend, so she didn't need to worry about working or anything like that, so she got up slowly. She noticed that she was alone in the room.
"Looks like Haley's already up" Billie muttered, before glancing at the time, finding that it was 8 in the morning, and she had slept for around 7 hours. Longer than usual...probably better that way.
Walking out of the bedroom, she did her business before walking downstairs, walking around the corner and into the kitchen area, finding Claire there with a smile on her face, flipping a pancake while Phil was sipping on his morning coffee and reading the newspaper.
"Morning Billie. You get a good sleep last night? I know Alex can be quite the sn-" "Dad, if you finish that sentence I'm throwing my shoe at you!" Alex warned from the couch, as Phil flinched slightly and stopped his sentence.
Billie chuckled before responding "Yes thank you Phil, I actually slept more than I have in months. And I can't say anything about Alex's snoring, I was too busy trying to get comfortable with Haley shouldering me in her sleep"
"Billie!" Haley's voice echoed from the couch.
"Sorry but it's true. You move around in your sleep a lot" Billie responded with an amused expression once she saw the embarrassed look on her girlfriend's face.
"Wait, sorry, I'm still caught up on the fact that that was the longest you've slept in months? You couldn't have slept longer than seven hours. How long do you usually sleep for?" Claire asked, a little concerned.
It was recommended to get around 8 hours of sleep a night, at least that was the healthy amount of time one can sleep. While Billie got less than that.
"Like four or five hours I think. I've got a lot of work to do on the weekdays, so I tend to sleep for less than most people" Billie responded after a few moments of thinking.
She didn't really keep track of her sleep schedule or anything.
Hearing her, Claire looked at her in concern, while Haley looked over the couch at her with a frown on her face.
"Honey, four hours? That's nothing! You're going to exhaust yourself if you keep sleeping like that" Claire said, clear worry in her tone as she hoped the girl that was doing such good for her daughter wasn't overworking herself to an extent that she can't even sleep properly at night.
"Nah I'm fine. I work out and eat healthy and all that jazz. And I'm pretty consistently busy during the weekdays, so I can't really afford to sleep in too much" Billie responded with a shrug, not really seeing it as a big deal.
She was healthy, so it shouldn't really be a problem.
But obviously her girlfriend and her parents did not think that way. And even Alex had turned to her with a frown on her face.
"You know they're right, right? Sleeping only four hours a night is quite awful for you. It'll make your ability to think properly get completely destroyed. Not only that, but it increases risks of diabetes and other diseases, and can even increase your chances for heart attacks. So yeah, you really should get at least 6-7 hours of sleep, with 8 being the perfect amount of time" Alex said, agreeing with her parents.
It was rare that they were right about something involving science and stuff like that, but this was one of them.
Of all the people she'd imagine would have problems with proper sleep, Billie was the last person she'd think of. She assumed she would be smart enough to keep her sleeping schedule at healthy levels, but obviously not.
It just further showed that being a singer and running a company was not as easy as any of them had been expecting.
"...I'm beginning to feel like I'm in the middle of an intervention or something" Billie said with a glance at the four people that looked concerned. While Luke was seemingly still asleep in his room upstairs.
"It's not an intervention, Billie. We're just a little worried, that's all" Phil replied, even though he inwardly agreed that it sorta sounded like one.
"...Alright alright, I'll try to get my sleep up. When I woke up this morning, I wasn't expecting for all of you to get on me about my sleep schedule though" Billie said with a chuckle, as she took the cup of coffee that Claire had gotten her.
"You're gonna have to get used to it, babe. My family worries about anyone that they consider as a member, and you're practically a member at this point" Haley said as she walked over and pecked Billie on her lips, with Alex letting out an audible "Eww" sound, while Claire and Phil only slightly smiled at the sight.
Their daughter really did find someone she truly loved. And in return, loved her.
So, with the little mini intervention over and done with, Billie flopped down onto one of the chairs around the dinner table, beginning to eat the pancakes that Claire had whipped up. They were pretty good, better than she had been expecting considering Claire didn't have the best history when it came to cooking and food in general.
Eating the pancakes, Billie enjoyed the food as she heard a question come from Phil.
"So, Billie, what're your plans for the day?" Phil asked, as Billie glanced at him, swallowing the bite before responding.
"Not sure to be honest. I'll probably just head home and play some video games or something. I usually spend my weekends just relaxing and doing pretty much nothing" Billie replied with a shrug.
"You wanna hang out with us then? Oooh, I can bring you to my favorite place in the entire world!" Phil exclaimed, an idea crossing his mind as she heard her girlfriend groan at his words, seemingly knowing what he was talking about.
"And what is that place?" Billie asked, interested.
"The local magic shop! They've got everything you could ever need to become a true magician! Who knows, you might even be able to use the techniques that I can teach you in your concerts" Phil offered, as Billie raised an eyebrow.
She had to admit that the idea weirdly...sounded like a good one.
"A magic shop? That sounds-" "Dad, please don't embarrass-" "Like a good idea" Billie finished her sentence, while Haley was cutting in between.
Upon hearing the response, everyone looked at Billie in surprise.
"Wait what? You-You actually want to go with my dad to a magic shop?" Haley asked wide eyed. Nobody she knew had ever actually wanted to go with him.
At the same time, Phil looked like he could cry in happiness.
"Yeah, why not? It seems like it could be fun, and he isn't wrong that I might be able to actually use the techniques in my concerts"
Hearing her words, Phil looked at her with a bright smile on her face, and said only one thing.
"Oh...we are going to be great friends!"
