[3rd POV]
The next day in Paris had started off pretty nice, the warmth of sunlight beaming into their room, as Billie and Haley snuggled up together. Yesterday had been a somewhat long day, and they had ended it off with a rather...strenuous activity.
So they had both decided to just snuggle up and sleep in a bit longer today. That and because they'd probably be heading home early tomorrow morning, they figured they might as well enjoy their last full day in the city.
They had a decent bit to do for the rest of the day. Mostly just going to shop...a lot. She wanted to get some new stuff for home, new souvenirs, and Haley was REALLY interested in getting some paintings for their new house.
A house that they still would have to buy, but one that they were both confident in getting. Billie thought it was an excellent idea, and had found a few spots that sold paintings. They'd need to get shipped out to the states, but she had figured it out yesterday that they did indeed offer such services.
For a fee.
But it wasn't that expensive, all things considered. The paintings themselves were probably going to be at least double to triple the price of the fee itself, if not even more. And they were going to have to be very taken care of either way, simply because they were just that expensive.
The places that sold said paintings had high prices for their other items that they sold, meaning that the paintings were naturally going to be just as expensive, if not even more. But the paintings were genuinely incredible, and Haley was pretty insistent that if they were going to buy a house worth millions to tens of millions, that they might as well splurge and get some actually good paintings to liven the place up a little bit.
Billie agreed, but spending tens of thousands of dollars on some paintings did hurt a decent bit. Not personally of course, but her wallet bled a little.
Laying up against her girlfriend, Billie glanced down at her sleeping figure. Haley was probably going to be asleep for another half an hour or so, so they'd be out and walking around at somewhere around ten in the morning.
Usually they woke up before that, mostly because they wanted to explore in the morning before things started to get more and more busy. Billie knew her girlfriend was a deep sleeper when it came to stuff like this.
'Hmm, once she gets up we'll have to get busy if we want to finish all of our shopping. We still have to buy the souvenirs for the others, and make sure that the ones that we do get are actually good enough for the family. Not to mention getting the gifts for the men of the family, as we've only gotten stuff for the women so far' Billie thought, knowing that the guys would not be happy if we forgot about them.
That and she would of course feel bad if they forgot somehow and didn't get them anything. She already planned on getting them all matching watches, so she planned on getting the entire family a set of watches to wear. But that'd probably be down in LA and would be for Christmas.
Instead, Billie would get them something a bit simpler for now. And that would require several different shops. She had already gotten them gifts, but it was actually Haley at this point that wanted to get them their gifts.
Billie had brought up the idea of getting Phil something magic related like she had. But Haley insisted on getting something different, as she did not want to just follow Billie's lead. So she decided on doing something new and unique that she was confident her dad would like.
Billie had no idea what it was, but she was sure that it would be interesting.
'Beyond that I'll have to make sure the return flight will be on time. Since Claire will probably not...be the most agreeable should we get back later than she wanted us. Hmm, and I guess I'll need to find out when the Ferrari will be ready back in LA' Billie thought, deciding she would need to make a few calls once Haley was up and ready.
On top of that she needed to make sure her investments were going through, since she had taken out a chunk of her money to make sure it was pumped into some new business ventures she wanted to make sure was going through.
Big investments that would make her a lot of money in the coming years. Mostly involving new apartment complexes, hotels, and some other stuff. As well as buying into a few companies that she was confident would make her some money.
The apartment complexes would be through a few means though, as she didn't have all the cash to do that sort of thing. And instead worked with another company to make it easier on her. Said company was a real estate one that she was actually interested in buying outright.
She was sure that she could afford it should she save up for a bit. And should her investments go down well, then she could probably easily afford it. And once she owns a company like that one, she could invest in properties and areas that she knows will make her some money.
'Hmmm...maybe even get Phil on board' Billie thought, realizing the man could actually be a good asset in that area. As she thought about Phil, she stopped as she realized something.
'Wait...Phil would be perfect for our eventual house hunt' Billie realized, understanding that the man worked in a lot of price varieties in terms of real estate, and likely had worked with homes that were in their price range.
'Definitely going to have to talk with him when we get back. I'm sure he's got a few places that could be good. That or he knows someone who does' Billie thought, knowing that Phil would be a huge help for house hunting and all of that.
Besides that, Billie had already decided beforehand that she would be investing in some other areas. And real estate was a huge aspect of that, since it would only continue to make her money. That and as long as it was run properly, it would make her more than enough money. So she needed to get into contact with some real estate agents, and find some "Cheap" real estate agencies that she could get ownership or partial ownership over.
And once she had enough, she could merge them or turn them into subsidiaries of a proper real estate company that she could found.
She'd be letting someone else deal with that of course though. She preferred her music, but money was a very necessary thing in life. And there was no such thing as "Too much money" even if a lot of people liked to say otherwise.
It was sort of the way of the world.
Billie really wished it wasn't, but it was. She couldn't do jack shit about it either way, she was not even remotely powerful enough for that.
She also was not a politician, rich enough, nor was she some world conquering maniac.
She was a normal singer.
That's all.
With that in mind, Billie looked down at her sleeping girlfriend, a small smile on her face, as she had one thought on her mind.
'Let's hope our final day in Paris will be a fun one!'
