"Yes, yes."
"Turn right at the next intersection, then go straight."
"Turn right at the third traffic light…"
Arthur was driving, and Shizuka Marikawa was giving directions from the passenger seat.
After leaving the school earlier, they immediately encountered another problem: where to go?
Saeko Busujima wasn't worried about her home for now.
Arthur and Ellen were "international students"; they only had identities but no corresponding residences.
As for Shizuka Marikawa, she usually lived at school and would stay at a nearby best friend's house during holidays.
"My best friend's house is super big!"
"And she rarely comes back, so I often stay there."
Under Arthur's prompting, she, as expected, revealed the temporary base where the main characters in the original story would head next: her mysterious best friend's luxurious mansion!
While called a mansion, it was actually just a detached house.
As the last ray of light vanished from the sky, Arthur finally arrived at their destination.
It shouldn't have taken this long.
However, with the current chaotic situation in the city, even with a modified pickup truck that could drive recklessly on the roads, they still had to be careful.
After all, it was only a medium-sized vehicle, and if surrounded by the undead, it would still be game over.
There were also so many supplies in the car that couldn't be casually abandoned.
Therefore, to be safe, Arthur avoided the downtown area and took a long detour to get there.
On the way, he also made a quick stop at a clothing store and bought a large quantity of items.
Although there was no one left in the store, he still dutifully scattered the hundreds of thousands of remaining currency inside.
In short, they were throwing money away!
We drove for almost an entire afternoon, enduring all kinds of bumps and jolts along the road… which resulted in far too much movement with Saeko on top…
During the trip, as they went over yet another speed bump, Saeko's hips shifted once again, and no matter how much Arthur tried, like any normal man, what had once been soft became hard. (physics law 😈)
As soon as Saeko felt something poking her down there, she tried to adjust her hips into more comfortable positions, believing it to be some object, like his cellphone. That was until she noticed that with every movement she made, the "object" kept growing bigger and bigger. After a few seconds, realizing what it actually was, she immediately felt her cheeks grow hot…
She let out a soft, low gasp as the car passed over another pothole and the "object" poked her once again.
Throughout all of this, Ellen and Marikawa remained completely unaware, chatting casually while keeping their eyes on the road ahead. (should i write +18 chapters? what do you think?)
When they finally got out of the car, Arthur felt nothing but a sore back and an aching waist.
Ellen: Hm? Saeko, are you feeling okay?
Ellen asks after noticing the redness on Saeko's face and her slightly hurried breathing.
Upon hearing Ellen's question, Saeko unconsciously glanced at Arthur's waist, feeling her face grow even warmer as she wondered where that "object," so big just moments ago, had gone.
"I'm just feeling a bit hot. Anyway, is this the teacher's best friend's house?"
"What does she do?"
Saeko Busujima looked at the house, discreetly trying to change the subject.
"I heard she works at the airport."
"Because she's usually very busy and rarely comes home, she gave me the keys so I could help air out the place and such…"
This was a detached small house with a not-so-exaggerated exterior.
Besides the sturdy iron gate guarding the yard, one could also jump from the rooftop to the low roof of the neighboring building to escape.
As always, Saeko quickly regained her composure after a few seconds. Arthur stepped inside, deliberately avoiding her eyes, the two of them acting as if nothing had happened.
There was ample open space in front and behind the house.
Coupled with the fact that this area was originally suburban, the number of survivors and zombies was much lower than in the city, making it relatively safer.
Because the military otaku was missing this time, no one noticed, but Arthur still saw it.
The military-grade Hummer H1 parked in the yard!
This was a true beast, completely incomparable to a Raptor.
"Alright, let's go in!"
Marikawa Shizuka pulled out the keys and eagerly walked inside.
"We traveled so far today, and I feel all sticky. I can't wait any longer, I'm going for a bath!"
Upon hearing "bath," Ellen, who had been listless after an afternoon of driving with her back bouncing against the seat, suddenly brightened up.
No girl could refuse the ultimate reward of a "bath" after a tiring day!
"Hey, hey, Marikawa-sensei."
"Does your friend's bathroom have a bathtub?"
"Yes, it does! Not only that, it's super luxurious! I used to bathe with Rika Minami there all the time."
"Wow, that's great! I want to bathe too!"
Arthur watched their carefree backs helplessly, truly admiring these two natural mascots who had no sense of caution whatsoever in this apocalypse.
He glanced at Busujima Saeko, who seemed a bit shy.
"It's alright, senpai, you should go take a bath too."
"You killed the most zombies today, so it's better to wash off the splashed blood as soon as possible."
"Oh, and take this bag of clothes in to change into after your bath."
"Also, collect your changed clothes and it's best to just throw them away. After all, we don't know if the blood on them might still be infectious."
Busujima Saeko didn't try to be tough.
"Thank you, Blank-kun."
After speaking, she carried the bag of clothes they had "purchased" earlier from the clothing store and followed them towards the bathroom.
After a day of fighting and tense escape, the temptation of a hot bath was something no one could refuse at this moment.
Busujima Saeko and Ellen went to the bathroom together, intending to confirm whether Marikawa Shizuka's best friend, Rika Minami's, bathroom was as good as she said.
The result completely exceeded their expectations.
It was a small storage room, with storage cabinets on the left side above, and two washing machines (one large, one small) and a dryer below.
On the right was a large mirror, with skincare products and a hairdryer on the counter.
Inside the bathroom was a marble bathtub, 2 meters wide and 3 meters long. Swimming in it might be a stretch, but four or five people could comfortably soak in it.
Next to the tub were two showerheads for rinsing, and two smooth small stone stools, which were incredibly thoughtful.
There was also shower gel, shampoo, and bath scrubbers next to the tub.
"Wow—!"
Ellen eagerly stripped off her school uniform, black thigh-high socks, and skirt, revealing pure white underwear.
Beside her, Busujima Saeko shyly unbuttoned her clothes, revealing a black bra and panties, and tossed her blood-stained school uniform into the nearby laundry basket.
Arthur didn't have the energy to move the supplies from the car into the house right now.
Anyway, with a cover and a lock, the supplies couldn't be lost.
He went into the house, found a random room, took a quick shower in the bathroom, and then came out.
He had more important things to do, which was to find the weapons hidden in this house!
These weren't harmless items like crowbars or wooden swords, but the most terrifying modern weapons—guns!
That's right, in a country like Japan, where military equipment control is relatively strict, it was simply unrealistic to casually get firearms like in Resident Evil.
However, Marikawa Shizuka's mysterious best friend's house not only had a military Hummer but also a batch of quite powerful illegal weapons hidden within!
Semi-automatic M1A1!
Knight's SR-25 sniper rifle!
Barnett Wildcat C5 crossbow... and even an M-37 riot shotgun!
It was simply terrifying!
Unfortunately, other Reincarnators hadn't established a connection with Shizuka Marikawa, so they had no way of obtaining such convenient weapons.
With these, he could even consider going out to hunt Zombies.
But of course, he wouldn't do that.
Ammo was limited; while crossbow bolts could be recovered, it was troublesome and dangerous.
Most importantly, the sound of gunfire would trigger a terrifying chain reaction!
If there was a better plan, why take the risk?
"Whoa!"
A sudden cry of surprise came from behind him.
"Boss Blank, how did you get these things..."
Ellen was completely dumbfounded.
The boss's previous actions had been somewhat reasonable, at least they were done in front of her.
But she had just gone to take a bath.
She had only been gone for a little while; where did the boss conjure these things from?
"I just rummaged around nearby and found them."
She sat on the floor leaning against the sofa, just an arm's length away from Arthur, watching him load bullets into the magazine with curiosity.
However, Ellen seemed to have forgotten to change her habits from home.
Although Ellen had changed after her bath, she was only wearing a loose, white, half-sleeved T-shirt on her upper body.
The shirt, damp from the steam, clung to her skin, appearing somewhat translucent. The small white undergarments beneath the shirt were faintly visible.
She was still gently rubbing her wet hair with a towel, her cheeks so rosy they looked as if they might drip water.
Arthur felt it was necessary to give this girl's parents a good scolding!
How could a child with so little sense of caution be let out into the Reincarnation Space?!
Aren't they afraid she'll be taken advantage of completely?
