(August, year 54 AK)
Yuta and his team, after a couple days of travel, had finally returned to the village.
Shisui quickly led the team back to the Hokage Tower and reported the mission's completion to one of the Chunins on missions' administration duty on the first floor of the Hokage Tower, also submitting the written report scroll he had prepared beforehand, and collecting the reward.
After that Shisui shared the payment with Yuta and others and left, saying they will meet in three days, leaving Yuta a whole ten thousand Ryo richer than he was before.
Yuta went home, spent some time cleaning the place, since it accumulated some dust over the month that he was away on the mission, and went to bed to rest for the night, since it was already late.
As Yuta was lying in bed, he thought about what happened during the last mission.
'It was quite interesting to encounter a genjutsu specialist like that, really.' He thought, 'His genjutsu has potential. The idea to make my enemies to fight each other, it sounds great. But, although that guy Jun surely had worked on his genjutsu for years, it still had a lot of holes in it. It was a subtle type genjutsu, means that the target could easily dispel it as long as they figured out that they are under a genjutsu.'
...
'Jun had used my disorientation from genjutsu to forcefully switch places with me using a Substitution jutsu, and the next moment I was already facing Hikari attacking me while looking like Jun, with that Jun hoped that I wouldn't notice that I was under a genjutsu and won't dispel it right away. Since he also targeted Hikari, she also shouldn't had noticed it right away and continued her attack, believing that she was targeting the real Jun. It was a very good move on Jun's part...'
'But Jun didn't account for me having genjutsu mastery comparable to his, so it didn't really work against me, and for Hikari... I don't really know how she was able to see through that genjutsu to be honest... Is she training hard to resist genjutsu? Is she specifically training against genjutsu to be able to beat me? That is possible, I guess...'
'Anyway, that genjutsu has potential. Should I try to develop such genjutsu of my own? The idea of making my enemies to fight each other is quite nice. But there is a problem. No matter which tricks I implement to fool my enemies, against an experienced shinobi like Jonins – it would not amount to much, they probably will be able to figure out fast that they are under a genjutsu and they would dispel it shortly after.'
'And for the less experienced ninjas like Chunins – there is no point to go to such lengths as to make them fight each other, I already skilled enough to outright paralyze them with my Shadow Chains and kill them right away if nothing unexpected happens, why should I go extra mile to play with them using such a genjutsu?'
'So, there is only one way of using such genjutsu that actually make sense – is to make this genjutsu a forceful type, make it to be strong enough for it to establish a strong grip on the target's chakra network so the target won't be able to dispel it on their own. But such jutsu will require a huge amount of chakra and I won't be able to sustain it for long...'
...
'Sigh, as it is, it simply impractical... Such genjutsu only make sense if it is a subtle type, but such jutsu being a subtle type – it won't be able to fool experienced Jonins, and to make it work against such targets as Jonins, it has to be forceful type, but making it forceful type and to use it against someone who has so much chakra as a Jonin – it would drain my chakra fast and it won't last for long, it would be much more practical to just use Shadow Chains against such an enemy instead...'
'Well then, I could develop this genjutsu anyway during the next time-loop training, it would be a nice thing to have in my arsenal and also it will be a good experience to work on something like that, but for a practical use of it, I don't really know if it will be useful at all, sadly...'
Coming to that conclusion about Jun's genjutsu Yuta fell asleep shortly after.
On the next day Yuta went at his usual training place and did his usual warm-up and training routine, during it Yuta felt that his physical capabilities got improved from what it was a month ago before the mission, he was able to make more repetitions of each exercise than before.
'My body become stronger again after a month-long mission?' Yuta thought surprised as he sits down and leaned with his back against a tree as he rested after his four-hours-long training routine. Usually he trains for just about three hours straight during his normal routine, but today he pushed himself harder after a long absence of proper training to get himself in shape.
'Why did such a thing happen again? I wasn't training properly for about a month, but my physical strength improved anyway...' Yuta thought, 'My previous theory must be correct, my physical energy is slightly improving when being pushed by my significantly increased spiritual energy. During last month my body was adapting to the increased spiritual energy, that's why my physical strength had improved.'
...
'One month ago, before my last time-loop training my chakra amount was only about 1C, and during the time-loop training it had increased all the way up to 50G or 5C, that's when I started to feel some side effects of having spiritual-physical energies imbalance, like my stamina recovery speed dropping and I needed more time to rest and recover. But now those side effects had faded away, and my physical condition improved somewhat, I'm able to make about 20% more repetitions of my usual physical exercises now.'
...
'But to what extent my physical energy and body strength could be pushed by my disproportional spiritual energy? From what I have learned and experienced so far, I think there will be a point in the future when my spiritual energy grows so much, that my physical energy will not be able to keep up, and instead of being stimulated and boosted by it, it will be suppressed and harmed by it instead... It would look like some kind of chakra illness that will slowly deteriorate my physical body, making me physically weaker as time goes...'
...
'But this is the problem for the future me. With my still growing body, and without using any enhancements like Hashirama's cells implanting, I believe that I will be relatively fine for another fifty to a hundred years or so, as long as I let my body to grow and not spend all those hundred years in a time-loop all at once, it should be fine. And after my body grows to its natural peak condition at twenty-twenty five years old, after that I will have another hundred to two hundred years of time to figure out the best solution for my problem, so considering all of that, I'm not in a hurry to fix it and I'm not really worried about it either.'
'When time comes, I believe I will have enough knowledge, experience and ability to either find or develop the best solution to fix my physical energy problem for good. And before that I just have to manage and to not allow the imbalance of energies to grow too much, letting my body to naturally grow older and become stronger with the time passage, not spending too much time in a time-loops all at once.'
'Basically, when the side effects will surface again in the future, I just have to stop using time-loops and let my body adapt and grow on its own until the side effects completely fade away, like it happened during the past month. This time it took one month's time for the side effects to fade, and the side effects wasn't very serious, but still, I should keep my condition in mind next time I decide to spend a decade in a time-loop while training, so I won't end up weakened by the energies imbalance, other than that I should be fine with whatever.'
'As for my improved physical strength, although it had improved by another twenty percent or so, it still did not amount to much. If I'm to compare it to the ninjas I fought so far, it still far beneath any Chunin-rank level enemies I fought up until now, so I won't become a good taijutsu fighter any time soon.'
'My physical strength should be above an average Genin by now, but not even close to a Chunin's level, I think, although I should be able to bridge the gap with average Chunins now by actively using chakra and by boosting all of my moves with it, although that would be wasteful to spend so much chakra just so I could fight a Chunin-level enemy in a taijutsu to a standstill.'
'If I were to try to split up my chakra into spiritual and physical energies and keeping in mind the close correlation of physical energy and an actual physical strength of my body, my physical energy should be around 4-5G right now, while my spiritual energy is about 100G, while combined they amounted to 50G of chakra, although such numbers and calculations is not very appropriate and I can't actually calculate it this way and it's only for making a comparison in this particular case.'
'The imbalance is quite huge, but this is only the rough estimate, I only could calculate my total amount of chakra with some precision, and not my actual physical and spiritual energies amounts.'
'And with the imbalance of this extent I don't feel any side effects anymore, but when the imbalance grows more than that, that's when the side effects will start to show up.'
After analyzing his grown physical energy and strength, Yuta stood up and continued his training.
