"Oh, he is so cute! Have you ever seen a cuter boy before!" The older ladies giggled as they watched the poised young boy simply sitting beneath a tree, doing nothing, yet somehow looking remarkably charming while doing so.
"Look at that head full of red hair, so curly! It must feel softer than wool!" one woman said, and the boy smirked, knowing full well the effect he had upon elders.
"I have red hair too!" said little Peter who had been standing with the other children around the other red-haired boy.
"Oh, Pete, you certainly do. But look at his hair and—"
"Hey!" Peter called out. Slowly, with practiced grace, the boy's head turned, his hair catching every bit of sunlight.
"Ahhh!" the women giggled. "Look at those blue eyes! They are like the rarest of diamonds!"
"Hey! How old are you?" Peter asked. "I shall be five years come summer. And you? How old are you?"
