Chapter 27 - Damn, This Kind of Thing Too. Beat the Hell Out of Him!

"Are you done?"

The woman looked at Su Qing and asked.

"It seems I can touch human souls." Su Qing said, and then, with a serious face, retracted his hand.

The woman rolled her eyes and said with a forced smile, "So you touched for so long?"

"That was to further confirm it. Don't overthink it. I was doing it from a research perspective." Su Qing was thick-skinned and didn't change his expression.

The woman snorted twice, "Heh, men."

"It seems you misunderstand me, but it doesn't matter. Those who are pure are naturally pure, and those who are impure are naturally impure. I, who have a clear conscience, don't bother to explain." Su Qing shook his head.

The woman was too lazy to watch him spout nonsense, waved her hand, and turned to leave, "My name is Li Tiexin. Come find me when you've fulfilled that police officer's last wish."

"Good name, tough enough!" Su Qing praised.

"Not as tough as you."

This was the best compliment Su Qing could receive Ծ̮Ծ.

Afterward, Su Qing drove to the company. He had to go abroad in three days, so he needed to arrange company matters first.

On the way, he called Uncle Fu and asked him to have someone investigate whether Han Bing was in trouble.

After arriving at the company, Su Qing called Song Yun and told her to cancel all the arranged itineraries.

He then held a meeting with the senior executives. It was already past three in the afternoon when he finished everything.

At five in the afternoon, he received a call from Uncle Fu in his office: "Young Master, we've found out about Miss Han. I've sent the details to your email."

"Alright, Uncle Fu." After hanging up the phone, Su Qing opened his email, and sure enough, there was a new message.

Uncle Fu's efficiency was always reliable.

After reading the email, Su Qing finally understood why Han Bing had been so distracted lately.

Except for a small minority, those who could study art all came from well-off families, because the investment in art was high, and it was difficult to recoup the costs in the short term.

Without some financial backing, you simply couldn't afford it.

Han Bing was similar to the previous Su Qing, belonging to that small minority. Of course, Su Qing was an orphan, and her family's conditions were definitely better than the previous Su Qing.

However, although she had family, she relied on her college entrance exam results to waive tuition, and on part-time work and competition prize money to cover her living expenses.

She was independent and self-reliant, just like the previous Su Qing.

Her nominal older brother had dropped out of school early and become a loafer who idled away his days.

A few days ago, she was lured over by her brother under the pretext that their father had been in a car accident. He wanted to use her body to pay off his gambling debts, but Han Bing escaped with her life.

The injury on her neck was probably from that.

She told her father about it, but unexpectedly, her father, incited by her stepmother, agreed to marry her off to her stepbrother's creditor. This would not only pay off the gambling debt but also get them a considerable dowry.

So, Han Bing had been listless these past few days; it was no wonder her complexion wasn't good.

"Damn it, there's actually such a thing? I have to beat the hell out of that bastard." Su Qing muttered to himself, cursing.

It was already the twenty-first century, and such animals still existed. Indeed, some people were born animals; it had nothing to do with the era they lived in.

Such scum were rare to come by. If he didn't torment them thoroughly, it would be such a pity.

...…

Han Bing carried her bag, walking absentmindedly on the street, seeming out of place amidst the bustling crowd.

The wind occasionally swept up her long hair, revealing a pale, haggard face that was still pretty, evoking a sense of pity.

Watching a man carrying his daughter on his shoulders, she curled her lips into a self-deprecating smile.

Was she really her father's biological daughter? She felt like that bastard was his actual son.

She felt it was truly difficult to be alive.

Although she knew that if she told Xue Ying and the others about it, they would definitely help her, she couldn't bring herself to speak, and could only shoulder everything herself.

"Beep beep—" a car horn blared.

"Pretty lady, need a ride?"

Han Bing didn't even turn her head. "Get lost."

"Hey, turn around." Su Qing called out.

Han Bing turned around at the sound, and when she saw Su Qing's handsome face in the car, she was a bit taken aback. "What are you doing here?"

"You don't even remember my voice, yet you told me to get lost. That's so hurtful." Su Qing feigned sadness.

Han Bing quickly explained, "It's not… I, I was just thinking about something and got a little distracted."

"Not busy, are you? Then get in the car and come with me somewhere." Su Qing patted the passenger seat.

Han Bing hesitated for a moment, then opened the car door and sat down. After a while, seeing that Su Qing hadn't started the car, she was a little puzzled. "Why aren't we going?"

"Seriously, are you even asking me?" Su Qing was speechless, leaning over to fasten Han Bing's seatbelt.

Feeling Su Qing's strong masculine presence, Han Bing's heart beat a little faster, and her face inexplicably flushed: "Sorry, I was a bit distracted and forgot about the seatbelt."

"It's okay. I can see you're not in good spirits. I'll help you change your mood," Su Qing said, pressing down on the accelerator. The black Benz sped towards the old town.

As they got closer to the old town, Han Bing's face became even paler because a near-death experience had happened there a few days ago.

If she hadn't been lucky, her body would have already been given away by that gambling addict brother to pay off debts.

When the car stopped at the door of that nightmarish bar, Han Bing's delicate body trembled, and she looked at Su Qing with a pale face: "You... you knew?"

She wouldn't think Su Qing was just bored and brought her here; it was too much of a coincidence.

"If you don't say anything, and I don't investigate, wouldn't I just be watching you get bullied?" Su Qing retorted, holding her hand: "I'm here. It's okay."

Han Bing felt inexplicably relieved, but quickly thought it was inappropriate and pulled her hand away.

Su Qing smiled and didn't mind.

He led her out of the car and into the bar.

"Brother Hei, that chick from a couple of days ago is here."

As soon as the two entered, a young, yellow-haired hoodlum standing at the door leered at Han Bing with a lascivious gaze and shouted inside with a smirk.

"Spare me! Brother Hei, give me some time, I'll definitely pay you back. I'll have my sister marry you, ah!"

"Damn you, why would I believe you?"

Brother Hei, who was beating someone, immediately smiled when he saw Han Bing. He threw away the stool in his hand and kicked the young man, who was like a dead dog: "You have a good sister."

The bruised and battered young man on the ground scrambled to his feet, shedding his earlier, pathetic demeanor. He angrily charged towards Han Bing. "Where the hell have you been? I almost got killed!"

This was Gao Liang, Han Bing's stepmother's son.

He'd been all meek and mild around Brother Hei, but now he was taking out his frustrations on Han Bing.

"Almost killed? Then let me finish the job," Su Qing said with a slight smile.

Gao Liang roared, "Who the hell are you!"

BANG!

The next second, Gao Liang was sent flying, smashing a glass table and spitting blood.
