Ever since Kelsey returned to Medina after helping Luuk complete his celestial trial, she had been counting down the days until she could see her husband again. Exactly one month had passed since her father made his promise. Thus, she woke up at dawn and went straight to his room. Kelsey didn't bother knocking. Despite being an adult, she walked in and shook her father awake.
"Father, let's go now."
"Kelsey… the sun isn't even up yet. It's too early."
"But it's been a month! You promised me!" she insisted, tugging on his arm as he remained half-asleep.
"We'll leave this afternoon. We won't be late."
"Afternoon?! That's too long. Ugh! Father, why are you so heavy?"
"That's because you're not using your powers."
Kelsey swore she heard laughter in his voice. "Father, if I use my powers, I might hurt you."
