Cassia would occasionally leave the royal palace to attend to government affairs as the emperor, forcing her to leave Deon behind. At first, Deon was reluctant to let her go, but he would eventually give in after she indulged his wishes.
Now that she had learned Deon needed to return to the God Realm, Cassia couldn't help but feel a sense of loss. She knew she had been the one who asked him to help the Demon Clan gain access to the Moon's power. Now that she understood the only way to accomplish that was for him to return to the God Realm, she couldn't hide her sadness.
Fortunately, Deon always knew how to chase away her melancholy. "Do you want to come with me?"
"What?" She blinked. "You mean... to the God Realm?" Seeing Deon nod left her speechless. "I don't think that's a good idea. The God Realm hates me. They'll hunt me down the moment they discover I've infiltrated their territory again."
