There was a man standing right behind me. He looked dangerous.
I froze the moment my eyes met his. I wanted to run, but he was faster. He grabbed the cape of my dress and yanked me back.
He did it with so much force that that part of my dress tore off. I screamed, wrapping my arms around my chest as my entire back was exposed.
He grabbed me by the neck.
"Scarlett Snow…" he trailed off.
I instantly stopped struggling, completely frozen.
How does he know my name?
My heart was the only thing moving in me—fast and unstable.
He continued, "Daughter of Ronald Wilson…"
My eyes flew wide open at the mention of my father's name.
"Who are you, and how do you know my father?" I asked, my voice shaky.
He burst into laughter.
It felt like a nerve inside me was being punctured.
"Who the hell are you?!" I shouted, shaking violently under his grip.
