Sarah's POV
***
"I hear you." a voice said. I lay in a grave, in a coffin, in the ground. The casket lid was open and that allowed me to look at the sky.
" I see it ." The voice whispered softly, it was under me, in the coffin.
"See what ?" I asked it.
"Look up." It said and I turned my head back to the sky.
The sky was full of skeletons, they swam around in a dark expanse of something grey and black, murky like liquid grief. It looked like smoke and water , drenched in tears along with oil . Had I seen them before ? I wondered .
They weren't complete skeletons though , but only ended at the lower torso , they were spectres. Which made me think of Casper the friendly Ghost but there was nothing friendly about these things.
They were wailing and howling, how come I didn't hear them before ?
" No , look up . Above you ." The voice whispered. I tilted my head to look up more .
And there It was.
Next to the tombstone , above the grave and looking into the grave.
It was shrouded in dark shadows and I became overcome with fear.
I hadn't been afraid when I heard the voice.
I hadn't been afraid knowing I was in a grave and I hadn't been afraid when I saw the skeletons in the sky.
But I was scared now.
It scared me.
I felt like screaming but my voice had left me .
"You see it ?" The voice said right next to my ear.
Then arms reached out from the bottom of the casket and I was pulled down into the shadows.
...
I woke up with a shout, my body dripping with sweat.
"Oh my glob!" I said again and again looking around me for the thing above the grave and the arms.
But there were no arms.I was just in my room.
I looked around at the familiar things and felt my heart slow down. But my frustration grew.
Not again! I thought angrily, It was my fourth dream with the coffin and things.
I trembled slightly at the memory of floating skeletons and haunting screams.
So creepy!
I was going to go crazy if I kept up with these nightmares.
But it was just a dream... right? it didn't mean anything.
"It's okay. Everything's fine."
As I was just about to lay my head back on the pillow, the door opened.
Bang!
"Ahhhh!" I screamed.
