Chapter 2
Vansh slowly opened his eyes. A sharp cold surrounded him. He looked around and immediately realized he was not in his room. He was somewhere else. The place was dark—so dark that he could barely see anything.
Vansh thought, "What the hell… where am I? I was in my room. Is this a dream? Then why does it feel so cold?"
There was an unnatural silence. Suddenly, Vansh sensed someone nearby.
His heart started pounding violently, his body tensed up, and he tried to control his breathing by taking slow breaths. He swallowed hard and slowly turned to his right.
His eyebrows lifted in fear and shock.
A figure stood a few feet away from him.
Vansh froze. He tried to slow his breathing, but his heartbeat grew faster. Sweat slowly covered his body.
"What the hell is that thing? Why am I here? Is this really a dream? If it is… then this is a nightmare,"Vansh thought.
The figure slowly moved closer. Vansh stepped off the bed. His heart raced even faster, and his body stiffened. His eyes stayed locked on the figure.
He noticed the figure sometimes stopped, as if hesitating.
Suddenly, a voice came from it.
"Who's there? Who are you?"
It was a male voice.
Vansh stepped back silently. His heart was beating so hard he could feel it in his chest. But then—the voice felt familiar.
The figure moved closer.
Vansh clenched his fists.
Then the face became visible.
It was Yash.
Vansh's heart slowed, and his body finally relaxed.
"Yash… it's you. Thank God," Vansh said.
Yash also looked tense, but after seeing Vansh, he relaxed.
Yash said lightly, "You almost scared me. From there, you looked like some dark figure."
Vansh replied normally, "Yeah… same here. But the real question is—how did we get into this room?"
Yash looked around and realized he wasn't in his room either.
"Yeah… I was in my room. How did we end up here?"
Vansh searched for details, but the room was drowned in shadows. The silence felt disturbing.
Vansh whispered, "Yash… at first, I thought this was a dream. But dreams don't have this much detail. And if this is my dream, then how the hell are you here?"
Yash looked thoughtful.
"You're right… it feels like we were teleported here. But that's impossible."
Vansh nodded.
Yash spoke in a low but serious tone, "I think we should check the room."
"Yeah, let's do that," Vansh agreed.
They walked around, but it was so dark they could barely see each other's faces. Somehow, they reached a switchboard. Yash tried it—but nothing happened.
"Damn it," Yash said in frustration. "We can't see anything, and this damn switchboard isn't working."
Vansh replied calmly, "Hey, calm down. We'll figure something out. Let's move somewhere else."
They moved forward and after a few steps, felt something wooden.
Yash said cheerfully, "Feels like we found something."
Vansh touched it carefully. "Yeah… it feels like a wooden door."
He opened it, and they stepped out.
"Ahh… finally out of that damn dark room," Yash said in relief.
But Vansh didn't respond. He was looking around.
They were in a hall.
They felt relieved—but remained alert. This was an unknown place.
Yash whispered, "I think this is a hall. We should look around."
Vansh nodded.
They walked toward the left side. The cold air still surrounded them.
"Why the hell is it so cold here?" Vansh whispered irritably.
"I don't know," Yash replied. "But we should keep our voices low."
They continued walking, passing many rooms and halls. Nothing changed—only silence and cold.
Vansh whispered, "We still haven't found anything… and this place feels huge."
He was looking ahead when he realized something—
No response.
His heart skipped.
Vansh turned around.
Yash was gone.
His body tensed up. He looked around desperately.
"Yash! Yash!!" Vansh shouted.
No response.
The silence swallowed his voice.
*"Where the hell is Yash? Did I really meet him… or was that something else?"
Vansh searched the hall again. He found another switchboard and tried it—but it didn't work.
"Why the hell isn't anything working?" he thought angrily.
Then—
He heard music.
Party music.
From far away, light leaked out of a room.
"It sounds like there's a party going on…"Vansh thought.
He walked toward the room and entered.
" it's strange that in dead silence like here party us going on "
Inside, many people were dancing and enjoying themselves.
But something felt wrong.
No one looked at him.
"This is strange… when someone enters a room, people notice. But here… no one even sees me," he thought.
He approached a group.
"Hey guys, did you see a boy named Yash? He was wearing a black shirt," Vansh asked.
No response.
He tried louder.
"Hey! Did you hear me?"
Still nothing.
"Why the hell aren't they listening to me?" he thought angrily.
He was about to touch someone—
Suddenly, a hand touched his shoulder.
A sweet female voice spoke, "Are you looking for someone?"
Vansh turned around.
A beautiful, cute, curvy girl about his age stood there. Her eyes felt deep—unnervingly deep.
She was standing very close.
Vansh stepped back. She chuckled.
"My name is Mohini," she said sweetly. "You're looking for a boy named Yash, right?"
Vansh swallowed. "Yeah… I am. How do you know him?"
"Well, of course I know him," she replied. "A few minutes ago, Yash came here. He and my sister Maya went upstairs. He's really funny, by the way."
Vansh felt uneasy.
"Yash usually doesn't open up to girls so fast…but she tell Yash is funny and that mean she really meet him ..should I trust her?"
Mohini stepped closer and Tap her one finger on Vansh chest.
"What's wrong? Are you doubting me?"
She was too close.
Vansh stepped back.
"No… I'm not doubting you. Thanks for the information."
He left the room and found the stairs.
*"Damn… she was standing too close. If Vaibhavi or Lavanya saw that…"
His face fell sad cause of previous incident with Lavanya.
"So they definitely punish me … he muttered.
He went upstairs.
At the top, the left side was completely dark. On the right, a door was open, light coming from inside.
"This place is seriously strange," Vansh thought.
He entered the room. There was a bed and some tables.
Suddenly, he heard a shower.
A female voice asked, "Who's there?"
"Maya?" Vansh asked hesitantly.
"Yes… it's me. Who are you?"
"My name is Vansh. Did you see Yash?"
"Yes," she replied sweetly. "But he just left this room few seconds. You can come in and wait."
Vansh hesitated—but entered.
It was a bathroom. The light was dim. A female figure stood there, her wet clothes clinging to her body.
Then realization hit him.
The switches outside didn't work.
So why did this room have light?
Why did the party room have electricity?
And if Yash just left few seconds ago … why I didn't see him?
There was no way Yash would walk alone through that dark hall.
Vansh looked up—
She was standing extremely close.
Her face was hidden in shadow.
His heart spiked.
"Stay back!" Vansh shouted.
She moved closer.
you have no fun, you know," she whispered seductively on his ear.
Then—
Her face became visible.
Half of it was burned. Insects crawled across her skin. One of her eyeballs slid out slowly, staring at Vansh. Her body was covered in scratches.
Vansh froze.
His mind screamed at him to run—but his legs wouldn't move.
She moved closer.
Vansh finally turned and ran—but the door slammed shut.
The walls vanished.
Dark spirits surrounded him, grabbing him.
Thousands of voices screamed at once.
Pain. Fear. Horror.
Vansh screamed.
