~Soutarou POV~
As Soutarou used his Viridian power to heal the Rattata he saw Yellow's eyes shake, but also light up with glee.
Yellow tugged her fishing back ashore and walked over to Soutarou and the weak Rattata before releasing her own Viridian Power, which bluntly speaking, just over powered Soutarou's in moments.
Soutarou's eyebrows twitched, but he didn't say anything channeling more of it and the Rattata was very quickly back on its feet normally, with Soutarou offering it a type neutral pokeblock he had pulled out from his bag and watched it run along, before Yellow finally said, "Y-you have Viridian Power too?!?!"
Soutarou made a shushing gesture before smiling gently at her, and saying, "They say no encounter happens by accident… Perhaps this was fate, Yellow."
Yellow excitedly asked, "Are there others like us?"
Soutarou scratched his chin and held up two fingers and said, "Two others. One is the current Champion of the Indigo League and the other is a hidden figure most people won't know about. Still… I'm curious… Yellow, do you live in this forest? How come you don't have any Pokeballs?"
Yellow paused her excitement deflating before she nodded and clenched the hems of her dress and said, "Yes… I've lived in the Viridian Forest my entire life… I… I live alone… I used to have an uncle… but he passed away… I don't have any Pokeballs… Because… Because I can't-... I can't afford it…"
Yellow's face burned with embarrassment and Soutarou frowned deeply and said, "I see… I'm sorry to hear that. Do you wish to go on a pokemon journey?"
Yellow nodded still clutching the hems of her dress, all while Misty and Kaede and both realized that Soutarou was here to search for this girl. Both had begun to think how sad Yellow's life was, though Kaede had already realized Soutarou was going to invite her along.
Soutarou with hesitation offered, "If you'd like you can join us. I'll fully sponsor your Pokemon journey… Someone with Viridian Power, no… Rather someone with the heart you have shouldn't be restrained… The early years of our adolescent lives are when we strive to achieve our dreams… and if your dream is to travel… Why shouldn't I help you if I'm also doing the same and clearly have the ability to support one more? So would you like to join me Yellow-san?"
Yellow looked at Soutarou's outstretched hand and his figure that blocked out the sun and seemed to radiate in a golden glow, his deep amber gold eyes, and his handsome features, before a small flush appeared on her face and she shyly nodded and placed her hand in his. Just as the two were having their moment Misty yelled, "I got a big one!"
And up came a massive towering Red Gyarados, making Soutarou blank, Kaede's jaw drop, Misty scream in fear, and Yellow stare in shock.
'What the hell… WHAT THE HELL? ISN'T THE SHINY GYARADOS SUPPOSED TO BE IN JOHTO IN THE LAKE OF RAGE?!?! WHAT SORT OF BAIT WAS MISTY FUCKING USING?'
A roaring below rang out and Soutarou immediately released his Milotic and Servine, before Misty grit her teeth and said, "Wait! I'll do this Soutarou!"
Soutarou raised an eyebrow, but nodded as Misty released her Staryu and Starmie. Misty made a super serious face and locked eyes with the towering Gyarados and gritted out, "If I beat you, you'll become my Pokemon, ok Gyarados?"
Gyarados' eyes narrowed, but it roared in arrogant acceptance of the challenge. All while Soutarou had taken Yellow and backed up towards Kaede. Yellow stared at Soutarou dreamily, shyly hiding her face, almost ignoring the the Gyarados situation entirely, while Soutarou got his SummerDex out and called Sebastian asking him to have two rare starters ready and sent to Cerulean City's Pokemon Center for a promising trainer he wanted to sponsor.
Yellow heard this conversation and tried to dissuade Soutarou only to be met with Soutarou shoving half a dozen pokeballs, three great balls, and one ultra ball straight into her hands and him saying, "Too bad. You're a Viridian Power user just like me and I always help my own people. If you keep saying no I'll stuff you into my backpack and take you on a journey forcefully."
Yellow chuckled and stared up at him gently still clutching the miniaturized pokeballs… All while Misty was having the emotional rollercoaster of her life in the corner. All while Kaede had somehow turned chibi and begun to eat popcorn in amusement of the chaos…
~Misty POV~
Misty's face and expression turned serious, her eyes turning razor sharp as she remembered Soutarou's and Kaede's battle styles called out, "Starmie use Hydro Pump with Scald! Superheat the water and then hit it with a Thunder Wave!"
The Red menacing Gyarados narrowed its eyes, but like a wild beast ignored it and released its intimidating aura which caused a flicker of blue to flow over Starmie lowering its attack. Just as Gyarados released its aura, a powerful Hydro Pump slammed into it, which Gyarados powered through despite the move landing clear damage. But the scalding water hit and Gyarados all of a sudden began flickering with red flames.
It got burned and it became even more enraged, abandoning reason and immediately using Outrage. Just as it was about to rush towards Starmie a small wave of electric energy washed over it, causing the Gyarados to lurch, its muscles to seize up, and the Outrage to fizz out before it could charge forwards.
Misty followed it up with, "Hydropump again and electrify the water with a Charge Beam!"
The Gyarados as strong as it was couldn't hold on after being burned, paralyzed, and dazed from its own Outrage hit with an electrified Hydropump dealt the finishing blow and it began swaying side to side before Misty ordered another electrified Hydropump and it fell onto its back with swirling eyes.
Misty heaved hard and looked conflicted, but stared with seriousness, before shaking her head and reaching into her back pack and finding no empty pokeballs. She blankly stared before Soutarou chuckled and walked over to her and handed her a Luxury Ball and said, "Make sure to grab some Pokeballs when we get to Cerulean. And congratulations Misty… I knew you could do it."
Misty nodded and calmly walked over to the Gyarados and tapped it with the Luxury Ball the ball snapped shut and shook three times before a resounding *ding* rang out.
Misty looked at the Luxury Ball and thought,
Misty glanced at Soutarou with a determined expression…
~Soutarou POV~
'Huh… That was… Clean. Very clean. I guess most trainers don't use combo attacks… But then again… Misty was a talented trainer who easily without much effort was as strong as an Elite Four by the end of Ash's journey… So it's not surprising that she was able to figure it out… Though her usage of status conditions is a bit worrying… Eh whatever… Strong Misty is better for me… after all the crazy shit I've seen about this world… Even Yellow's cheat emotional empowerment might not be as broken as it should be all things considered.'
'Though… I'd better not say anything before the Viridian Forest decides to buff her strength again and somehow she gains a system too… Now that would be funny… Cool idea for a fanfiction… Hey one of you internal demons of mine… Go write that shit… Anyways… Let's get out of here!'
Soutarou looked around the group, before realizing Kaede had set up a lunch for the group and they all sat down and released their Pokemon with Yellow looking at Soutarou's Milotic, Servine, and Ralts with soft eyes and saying, "You have a strong bond with your pokemon."
Soutarou tilted his head and said, "You can feel that?"
Yellow looked at Soutarou and scratched her cheek before saying, "You can't? It's a part of my abilities…? Actually I've been wondering… S-soutarou-kun… How come your Viridian power is so… so un-unrefined?"
Soutarou grimaced and said, "I really haven't used it all that much… If you could help me figure it out that would be great… Eheh…"
Soutarou rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment, before Yellow smiled and said, "Of course! Soutarou-kun is helping me so much, if I can't do this much then am I even a friend? We-we are friends right?"
Soutarou smiled and said, "Of course! We're not just friends, we're partners, got it? The Viridian Power Duo. Blonde and Gold."
Soutarou nodded his head, while Yellow's face flushed and Misty who was finally paying attention immediately got in between the two and said, "Of course me and Soutarou are also the Shiny Duo. Blue and Red."
She stomped on Soutarou's foot and glared at him in indignation. Soutarou smiled thinly and Kaede just pinched his side and said, "Let's go, we're heading to Cerulean aren't we?"
Soutarou nodded and said, "Want to teleport or should we just walk?"
Misty scratched her chin and said, "Well thanks to your little detour we have a lot less time than originally. So teleport us close by and we'll walk the rest."
Kaede then interjected, "Speaking of teleporting… How can your Ralts have that much psychic energy? Even Latios is saying that her amount of psychic energy while high shouldn't be enough to continuously teleport such long distances… Latios said he's never ever seen anything like this… It's like your Ralts has infinite psychic energy regeneration…"
Soutarou smiled and said, "All I'll say is… Ralts is an Alpha Pokemon… Not just a shiny… Latios should know what those are. On top of that… My Ralts is without a doubt the most talented of her entire species. As for her energy regeneration, that's just because both me and Ralts are so attuned to one another's psychic energy that whenever she runs out she just automatically takes mine. And rinse and repeat every time she runs out she lets her own energy regenerate and uses mine, by that time her energy refills and boom cycle of unending psychic energy."
Misty sighed and said, "That's too ridiculous… How are you a triple ability user, a rich young master, and… Nevermind… Some people are just born too blessed…"
Soutarou raised an eyebrow, but said nothing else on the other hand Kaede stayed quiet and didn't say anything, but Latios from its masterball made a comment to her silently that made her gaze narrow. But as usual Kaede never questioned Soutarou as if already knowing he had thousands of secrets.
Yellow was a bit confused, but Ralts didn't give her or anyone else the chance to ask anymore questions as she felt Soutarou's discomfort from their mental channel and wrapped her psychic energy around the group of four after using her psychic energy to trigger everyone's Pokeballs' recall feature forcefully. Immediately after she began teleporting them back on the main road, route 3.
Ralts' voice resounded in the group's minds, {Master would you like to stop at Mt. Moon?}
Soutarou looked around at the group, as he wasn't particularly interested in going to Mt. Moon, but then his eyes glanced at Yellow, he shook his head internally and thought, 'I guess a clefable is a decent option, but I think Yellow can be even more domineering… Though thinking of clefable, clefairy, and fairy types… Perhaps it's time I put that plan in action as well…'
Soutarou whipped his SummersDex out before sending a message off to Sebastian and looking back at the group. Misty looked like she needed some time to herself and her pokemon, Yellow just looked excited all the same, and Kaede didn't seem to care very much at all. Still Soutarou looked at Yellow's excitement and said, "Make a quick stop… Let's show Yellow a bit more of the world."
Kaede smiled at that and Misty glanced back and nodded. Yellow put her hands up and said, "T-there's no need to go out of our way just for me…"
Hearing that, Soutarou just said, "Let's go to Mt.Moon Ralts."
Yellow couldn't hide her curiosity or excitement and so the group arrived at Mt.Moon in a flash of purple.
