Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Lisa, the child chosen by God

The "invitation" wandered through the chaos in this place, the concept of time is very vague here. Thousands of worlds are destroyed and thousands are born, however it is extremely difficult for a world with civilization to be born.

Only through natural evolution, without any divinity or benevolent power to help, most worlds do not gain a world barrier that protects the world from being destroyed by chaotic energy.

Worlds that create barriers on their own are rare, those that have extraordinary elements are even rarer, and high-level worlds—well, even if found, the "invitation" program was configured not to go there, only to mark world coordinates.

Since the shop was no longer what it once was, we were not sure if we would be discovered. It would be an even greater waste if the invitation could not even pass through the barrier and was destroyed.

Thus, in this place, the invitation wandered.

One moment could be 30 years or more, so after an incalculable amount of time, the "invitation" finally found a world where points could be gained in a grand way.

(Perfect for the current situation)

Then, at an even greater speed, it easily infiltrated the world barrier. As soon as it entered, Ellie inside the shop felt it and used the "invitation" as a means to use the shop's functions to evaluate the level of danger and went ahead.

World detected.

Scale: 6.

Governed by faith.

Local gods active.

Risk controllable.

Ellie remained silent for a moment and then smiled happily.

Ellie: Master, this world is very interesting.

According to our previous system, the strongest living being that ever existed or is still alive is a power at galactic lord level 6.

It can be considered dangerous, however, since you are who you are, I know you would not want to go out with your real body, even if it were a mere level 1 world, much less a level 6 one.

Vicente: It's not that exaggerated, I'm not afraid, I just don't want to end up screwing myself. I'm an ordinary person, a high level 0 physical cultivator, and I have something of that level fused to me.

In these infinite worlds, even if there is no one at my level, there should be those close to it, and my artifact simply fell from its original classification, being better than nothing.

I'm sure there are better situations than mine. What I like the least are those protagonists who get a strong cheat, look down on everyone, and forget that they haven't grown yet.

"You are still weak," and they simply start jumping toward death randomly, almost rubbing it in the world's face.

[I AM THE PROTAGONIST, DAMN IT, I WON'T DIE]

If I were to classify myself, I would be somewhat cautious, a bit cautious but not too much. At least when eliminating enemies, I would not leave them alive in any way. I could even use points for that if necessary.

So while Ellie and I waited for the new visitor, the first of the shop, I thought that since it is a world dominated by theology, it was probably a medieval world, so I decided to try to make a new place.

This place is full of golden clouds flying through the sky, golden marble floors, those golden lines on the ground are beautiful, the imaginary sun is pure gold, and even the grass is golden, but it doesn't look strange, just beautiful.

Even I, a modern person, found it beautiful. Imagine people from the Middle Ages in a religious world—well, at least I think they are from the Middle Ages.

If they are not, even if they are modern, I ended up liking it. If I don't have the bad luck of meeting someone who hates it or feels uncomfortable, then it's the best result.

I felt a little nervous. It's my first client and my path toward accumulating points. I don't know when another will appear, so to make it as fast as possible, I must cause a strong first impression. This person must be strong enough.

So I put on a golden mask and a golden robe, with rings floating behind my head like Buddhist light.

(random thoughts)

Preparations complete, now it's just a matter of waiting. Golden colors convey a sense of wealth and positive energy, so Vicente walked to a golden throne and sat on it, resting his elbow and supporting his hand on his face, looking calm and natural.

Ellie imitated his behavior, changed her natural pink dress to a golden one, her hair was also dyed light gold, and she took a golden halo from somewhere and placed it on her head.

Vicente observed for a moment and realized that his goal was to dye almost everything gold, but then gave up on the idea of painting his hair gold (leave it for next time).

He sighed and waited. Since the invitation had arrived in the world, people with points would arrive soon. I waited a year, I can wait this little time...

Continent Aurelion

This world is a world where humans observe the blessings of the gods daily.

One day, an adventurer prayed to a certain god and his prayer was answered, gaining power far beyond imagination, defeating all his enemies with ease. This was a temporary divine blessing.

Another day, a noble lady ended up receiving divine attention and became the saint of that religion, increasing the believers of that religion.

On a certain day, someone became the hero sent by the gods to defeat heroes of rival gods.

In this world, the main theme is faith, and gods with many believers are strong and can provide blessings.

Extremely powerful, even for ordinary people.

Gods without believers vary. Gods are the manifestation of their authority, depending on their importance, even if they have no believers, they are very strong, not inferior to gods with thousands of believers.

For example, the God of Harvest, the God of Food, the God of Homes.

There is a god for almost everything you can imagine.

Of course, useless gods also exist. Some have few believers and can barely use their powers.

While others, besides being slightly superior to ordinary people, have no power even to defend themselves against the weakest humans with divine blessings.

However, they have no risk of falling, since they are the manifestation of authority.Except for other similar gods who can kill them and steal their authority, adding it to their own, they do not need to worry about anything. Perhaps if they did, it would be boredom?

However, most gods would not want their authorities. For example, the God of Wandering Birds can only control birds that have never stepped into certain territories, and they cannot have much strength or the brilliance of other gods.

A very limited god, to the point of being useless in a way. So to similar ones, it seems useless to gather his authority; it seems like a loss of prestige. Thus, this type of divinity can live normally.

This is a vibrant world full of joy and energy. Despite the conflicts between gods, all are fanatic believers who hope to be seen by some god one day. Dying in the conflict of their god is an honor, regardless of age.

It is a world considered beautiful, well...

Not for everyone, unfortunately.

In an area called

[Kingdom Forgotten by God]

One of the areas where all those who fail to draw the attention of the gods are gathered: the poor, beggars, fallen nobles, orphans.

All people have a way to challenge their predetermined fate: being seen by the gods.

Even living in this place, they did not change their beliefs. When you are called, you will answer immediately, as it may be the first and last time.

In one of these places forgotten by God, there is a small city called Forgotten City.

In this small city, there is a little beggar named Lisa.As long as she can remember, she lived this life, stealing to be able to eat.

She was adopted by an old thief who wanted to pass on her skills. With the protection of the old thief, she made a few mistakes at first, then became professional and never missed again. She is a little over 9 years old.

Of course, her skills are only good within the small city of the Kingdom Forgotten by God, because she does not compare to the followers of the God of Theft or Thief God. She remembered the teachings of the old woman and never stole much, just enough to survive.

Greed can lead to ruin, is what she always heard from the old woman. Her last words before dying echoed in her mind.

{My daughter, remember: if one day you come across something you do not understand, take the opportunity and escape this small city and see a greater world. That was my dream. Live for me. This is my small selfish wish.}

Thus, she passed away. Lisa understood from a young age, just like other children, that in this world, the gods are the rulers. Whether kings or nobles, before the gods, social status does not matter.

In this world, most children are born with the "divine mark." Children with the mark, regardless of their parents' former social position, come to be respected because they gave birth to a "divine child."

Children chosen by the gods. They are already born with the prayer of the corresponding god, able to use part of the gods' power through prayer to attack, assist, and protect.

All children, like Lisa, who were not born chosen by a god, are sent by the local governing forces to the nearest Kingdom Forgotten by God. Thus, they grow up, live, die, and reproduce here.

It seems like a prison, and the only way to leave here is by later being favored by a god or having a child favored.

That is why, even though those abandoned by God are considered "worthless trash," the rulers still care about their lives and numbers, as they can increase the number of "ordinary people."

Lisa was just another worthless person struggling to survive in the Forgotten City until one day she woke up early and seemed to have been called to some place. Following her intuition, she went in that direction.

An extremely hidden place. She does not know how she got there; she only knows that she found a pendant in the shape of a shield with words she could not understand, but she felt it was important.

The pendant was very discreet. It seemed to be made of wood, but it also did not seem so.

Lisa had a strange feeling she could not describe, but even so, she put the pendant around her neck, but nothing happened...

She knew this was extraordinary. Even without knowing its function, she realized how incredible it was, at least to her.

Then she sighed, touched the pendant on her neck, and walked away, returning to her little house from where she came, following her intuition.

She continued her daily routine of stealing, eating lunch, stealing, in a repetitive cycle.

A month passed. In the middle of the first night of the first month after she obtained the pendant, she was about to sleep when a message reached her ears.

[Extremely high-value items detected. You have been invited to the Supreme Shop by the shop owner. Do you accept?]

[Yes / No]

She was shocked, her heart beating faster, and quickly analyzed the message.

Even without understanding most of the content, she grasped one key point.

(I was invited by a god to their territory, possibly I will become favored by a god)

That was the most a 9-year-old child without education could process quickly.

She immediately accepted, because it would be disrespectful to refuse an invitation from the gods, and besides, she had no reason to refuse.

Then, without any special effect, she simply disappeared from that little house.

Without knowing that this would change not only her fate, but that of all living beings in her world.

(End of chapter)

(Celestial fox here again)

(Well, I've already explained everything I had to say. I hope you like it once again, and I'm here to thank the living being who collected my book. I don't know who you are, but thank you. Well, you should be seeing this Right?)
