Lily got to him first because she was faster, and she slipped under his left arm in the exact way that someone who had already claimed a space would. Lilith got there half a second later and wrapped her hands around his right arm with the same energy.
"Master! Master~! You look so great with these clothes, and you... sniff... sniff... smell great too!" Lilith said with a pleased look.
"WHY are you here...?" Rex asked with that dead look until she was scared to death.
Lilith answered right away with a scared look. "E-Ehh...!? I was just... I was... I need more energy from my Master, that's all!"
"What a hopeless thing you are..." Rex sighed.
Rex stood on the steps of the Grand Academy with a woman on each arm. Several students who were leaving looked at him with a mix of envy and confusion.
Lily asked, "How was it?" and looked up at him.
"For the first day? It was kind of interesting," Rex said, which was true.
"Did you meet anyone terrible?" Lily asked.
