At 11 PM, a fighter jet slowly rose from the Villa's lawn, then quickly turned invisible and disappeared.
"Professor Jean, what are Hawking and the teachers going to do?"
Wanda, leaning on the window of her second-floor room, watched the disappearing plane, then turned to Phoenix and asked.
Phoenix stroked Wanda's head:
"Hawking and the teachers went to fight bad guys; they'll be back soon."
"When I grow up, I want to go fight bad guys with Hawking too!"
Wanda waved her hand; she wasn't keen on fighting bad guys, but she wanted to be with Hawking.
Phoenix smiled and squatted down:
"Then you'll have to work hard. I heard your ability is to control objects, and so is mine."
"But now I can only move a small cup."
Red light glowed from Wanda's hands, and the cup on the nearby table slowly floated up into her hand.
Seeing this, Phoenix comforted her:
"Not everyone is as talented as Hawking. We can train slowly, and in the future, you can also become an X-Men like him and help those in need."
If Hawking were here and heard these words, he would surely complain bitterly.
An owner of the Phoenix Force and an owner of Chaos Magic are talking about talent here. Whose talent could possibly surpass yours?
"I will train hard."
Wanda nodded vigorously, then looked out the window again, secretly praying in her heart:
"Hawking, you must come back safely!"
Turning her head, she looked at her other brother, Pietro, who was currently sprawled on the bed, sleeping soundly.
"They're both my brothers, so why is there such a big difference?"
Hawking had already gone with the teachers to fight bad guys to protect them, while Pietro had even snatched her favorite pudding at dinner.
On the other side, unaware that little Wanda was worrying about him, Hawking was being helped by Storm to put on a resized X-Men uniform on the plane.
"Professor Ororo, actually, I don't think I need to wear this."
"This uniform is made of special material. I just modified it this afternoon. It can effectively withstand some physical and energy damage and protect your safety. You must wear it!"
Storm explained with a serious expression.
"Alright, alright!"
Hawking wanted to tell Storm that once he transformed, his clothes would automatically turn into a Turtle Hermit Style martial arts uniform, making it useless to wear this.
But then he thought that having this X-Men uniform for protection after his transformation ended seemed pretty good, so he gave up on saying anything.
"Um... Teacher Ororo, I can put it on myself."
"This uniform isn't ordinary clothing; it's not easy to put on at first. I'll help you, and you watch, then you'll know how to put it on next time."
Storm ignored Hawking's protest.
Hawking could only sigh inwardly, regretting that he wasn't growing fast enough.
In his previous life, he was a late bloomer, possibly due to living in a boarding school with no one to care for him and poor living conditions, leading to insufficient nutrition and delayed development. At eleven or twelve, he didn't look very tall.
Unlike children nowadays, who receive good nutrition, many look like small adults at eleven or twelve.
Moreover, perhaps because of the Son Goku Saiyan bloodline integrated into him, this symptom was even more pronounced, and with the tail behind his butt, it gave him an innocent and harmless appearance.
Wolverine, smoking a cigar, saw Hawking's predicament, and the corners of his mouth were harder to suppress than an AK.
"Logan, don't smoke on the plane; can't you see there's a child here!"
However, he was quickly retorted by Hawking.
And Storm also cast a stern look at Wolverine.
"Uh, right. You're still a child."
Wolverine immediately stopped smiling and could only helplessly extinguish the cigar in his palm.
Three hours later, the fighter jet flew from New York to the skies above Alkali Lake in Canada.
After activating the jet's stealth device and slowly parking it in a snowy area outside the dam, everyone began discussing how to enter the Base.
"The entire dam only has one spillway for entry, but the problem is, as soon as we appear, Stryker can open the gates, and we'll all drown!"
Storm opened the virtual simulation device on the plane, displaying the dam's structural diagram, and explained.
"Kurt, can you teleport us in?"
"No, unless it's a place I've been to or a place I can see, otherwise I can't teleport there; I'll get stuck in the wall."
Nightcrawler shook his head like a rattle-drum.
At this moment, Wolverine stepped forward:
"I'll go; Stryker won't let me die."
"Wolverine, no matter who goes, the goal is to enter the control room, find and know how to operate the device to close the spillway. How will you do it? With your adamantium claws?"
Magneto said with a hint of sarcasm.
Wolverine's eyes widened:
"At least I dare to take risks!"
"But I don't want to take risks."
Magneto looked at Mystique, who had already transformed into Wolverine.
"This shapeshifting ability is really useful."
Hawking looked at Mystique, who was identical to Wolverine, and couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
If it weren't for her desire, like Magneto, to completely change the status of all Mutants, Mystique would actually be the Mutant least worried about living in the Human World.
As long as she didn't cause trouble, no one could find or capture her; she could live very well.
Everyone had a deep understanding of Mystique's infiltration ability, so Magneto's suggestion for Mystique to transform into Wolverine and enter the Base was naturally approved.
Waiting quietly inside the fighter jet, after about twenty minutes, Mystique's relaxed voice came through the communicator:
"The device has been shut down; you can come in now!"
The rear hatch of the fighter jet opened, and Hawking silently pulled out his Mickey Mouse children's sunglasses and put them on, following everyone towards the dam's spillway.
Looking at the round moon hanging overhead, he couldn't help but murmur to himself:
"Hope I don't have to turn into a Great Ape."
"Weak yet arrogant Humans."
Looking at the fully armed Human soldiers blocking the spillway, Magneto let out a disdainful snort.
Instantly, the grenade pins on the waistbands of those Human soldiers, affected by his power, were all automatically pulled out, and the rifles tightly held in their hands all slipped, pointing at themselves.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Da! Da! Da!"
In an instant, dozens of elites sent by Stryker to guard the spillway were all killed.
"As expected of the grand old Magneto, truly terrifying."
This scene, falling into Hawking's eyes, also made his eyebrows twitch.
Magneto's ability to control magnetic fields is truly the bane of modern high-tech weapons, especially with the helmet to prevent psychic intrusion; he basically has no weaknesses.
Recalling in the movie how Magneto instantly stopped countless missiles, lifted and moved the Golden Gate Bridge, nearly 2000 meters long, with a wave of his hand, and flew a massive stadium through the air, it was indeed incredibly abnormal.
Fortunately, Magneto in this Universe is closer to the movie version; if it were the comic book Magneto, he would be even more abnormal.
