Zane had gotten up by the support of the door but he was in no condition to leave the Cathedral as fast as possible.
He had Milo with him. He had chains with him. He was tired. His wrists were broken. And not to mention, two Enforcers blocked his way.
He might ignore Varikh but Kairon couldn't be ignored even if he tried.
The Enforcer was endowed with flames.
He had a flaming sword and a crown on his head and even if Kairon didn't hit Zane, the gutterborn would melt to death anyway.
Kairon had become the sun.
