The tent flap continued to swing around for a few seconds after the young man left.
Director Ellias Thorne didn`t move, he simply turned his head towards Veronica.
"Sir. gulp . I`ve only updated his status on the list " She said with a wavering voice
"Yes yes, good job. that`s not the issue" he frowned "HE is"
"Ummm how is that young man a problem"
"You think anyone normal would just..leave the place for 2 days, leave the city and go to his 'grandparents house', come back and have 0 trauma?"
"Well he was abit shaky."
"NO. Voice maybe. But not anything else - eyes and lips were tight, no issues with speech, no wavy looks. He stood still, no movements in his posture, no nothing. That man was calm. Too calm"
"You don`t think he`s lying to us?"
"No, of course not. He was here when the Tower showed up. Im thinking he was here later too."
"The blur yesterday?"
"MHM. Cause of one small detail"

"You ever seen a butcher not clean blood from his face after work?" Thorne left the tent imidietly after that sentence, ready for his arrival.
Because he was sure of it- Voro Vane wil be back. And it`ll be soon.

Voro was sitting on the edge of a industrial ventilator of the apartment complex, three blocks away from the Tower giving him a nice view of the black monolith on the night sky.
Dressed in black jeans and a black hoodie with a dark mask on his face, he looked incredibly suspicious now. But, who would even notice him at this time in the night.
Maybe someone would notice a small shine of steel at his belt, but it was unlikely.
Except if someone was looking specifically for him. Like a set of armed guards at the base of the Tower, holding police batons and pistols at their hips, flashlights were either on their heads or lamps were just so bright they didn`t need them.
'Tsk.' Voro looked through his eyes as a telescope 'They`re prepared for me'
No matter. Construction workers went home a few minutes ago, and it was apparently the latest batch of them for the day. The patrols are getting to the end of their route and will go to the observer platform in a minute.

Phew Voro got onto the biggest piece and started running.
"SECTOR 4. MOVEMENT NOW!!! " guards noticed him the second he got to the ground level and started to run towards him

Voro couldn`t stop, not now, not even if he wanted to. Breaking his limits of speed and running over broken toilet seats was just too fast to just stop moving.
Some pieces cracked under his feet, some slipped away making him almost fall over. But, he just kept moving forward. Dash after dash, the pop ups didn`t stop.

A bullet whispered near his ear and hit a door laying behind him.

More shots were fired , hitting the air behind him and breaking random stuff around.

Voro was lined up and focused only to reach the black Tower.

A guard squad showed up in front of his goal, rifles pointed forward at him. It was over
"FOR THE LAST TIME. STOP OR WE WILL SHOT YOU"

A flash of bluish - whitish light hit all the ppl around him

Dr. Thorne walked out of the tent, smiling for the first time.
"Well done fellas. We got him" while standing over the sunglasses that fell off Voro when he tried to stop at the end.
