Meanwhile, in a detached house not far away, in Yui's room, her alarm rang. A hand emerged from under the blankets, fumbled around, and finally turned off the alarm.
"Onee-chan, it's time to get up!" Ui, who had been ready for a while, opened Yui's door and called out to her.
"Onee-chan?"
"Eh?!" Hearing Ui's voice, Yui jolted awake and sat up. A glance at her alarm clock made her gasp in shock.
She grabbed her phone from the bedside table, but in her panic, she fumbled with it like a juggler before finally clapping her hands together to catch it securely.
"Ah! Eight o'clock! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" After confirming the time on her phone, Yui rushed out of her room in a frenzy.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" Ui asked, puzzled, but Yui was already beyond listening.
Yui quickly washed up, changed her clothes, saw the breakfast on the table, grabbed a slice of toast, slathered some ketchup on it, stuck it in her mouth, and dashed out the door.
"Morning, Yui-chan!" A neighbor sweeping the street smiled and greeted her.
"G'morning!" Yui mumbled through a mouthful of bread as she ran past.
She continued running, but compared to before, she realized her speed seemed a bit faster. Then it hit her… she wasn't the same as yesterday.
Noticing the shocked looks from people around her, Yui quickly caught herself and slowed down.
...
"Alright, let's go. Don't forget anything!" After reminding Miu, Takeru set off with her towards their schools.
Though they attended different schools, part of their route overlapped before they had to go their separate ways.
Sobu High wasn't particularly close, but it wasn't terribly far either. One could take the train or walk. The train was quicker and less tiring.
However, walking allowed Takeru to accompany Miu a bit longer, so he chose not to take the train. He wasn't in a hurry, and with his improved attributes, the extra walking wasn't tiring...
"Okay, Miu, this is where we part ways. Come straight home after school, understand?" At an intersection, Takeru gently patted Miu's head.
"I know, I'm not a little kid anymore!" Miu puffed out her cheeks at his words.
"Haha, sorry, sorry," Takeru chuckled.
Watching Miu leave, Takeru continued towards Sobu High. Along the way, he practiced using his Telekinesis to lift himself slightly, reducing the burden of gravity.
It wasn't about laziness, but training his Telekinesis. If there weren't other pedestrians, he might have even tried using it to fly.
Takeru's Spirit was now 43. With the double effect from his talent, his effective Spirit reached 86. Lifting his own weight of around 55 kilograms was trivial. By his estimate, his current telekinetic lifting capacity was roughly 400 kilograms...
Of course, manipulating living beings differed from inanimate objects, but lifting a 200-kilogram person wouldn't be a problem.
With his weight reduced, Takeru could easily leap five meters in a single bound, and his stamina consumption decreased significantly.
While testing and training, he drew closer to the school...
Soon, Takeru arrived at the school gates. The time was exactly 8:30 a.m. The entrance ceremony started at 9:00, so he just needed to find which class he was assigned to and locate the corresponding classroom.
Suddenly, he noticed a familiar figure.
"Hirasawa-san!" Takeru walked up behind Yui and called out to her.
"Eh?!" Startled by the voice behind her, Yui let out a small shriek.
Instantly, the eyes of everyone nearby turned towards Takeru and Yui. Noticing Takeru's striking looks, many girls began whispering among themselves.
"Ah, s-sorry, Nara-kun!" Flustered by the attention and realizing it was Takeru behind her, Yui immediately bowed in apology.
"There's no need for that, Hirasawa-san," Takeru said helplessly.
"Y-yes, Nara-kun!" Yui responded, still tense.
"If you don't mind, you can just call me Takeru. May I call you Yui?" Sensing her nervousness, Takeru spoke gently, trying to put her at ease.
"Y-yes, Takeru-kun!" Yui replied, her head bowed and face flushed.
"Alright, shall we go check the class assignments together?" Seeing Yui was still uneasy, Takeru suggested.
"Okay!" Yui agreed instinctively.
The two then headed towards the school building. The class assignment lists were posted on a bulletin board.
However, along the way, Yui felt increasingly uncomfortable due to the many stares directed their way, making her terribly nervous.
