"I have something important to tell Cyrus!"
After being stopped, Morgans immediately looked displeased.
He was one of the emperors of the underworld, after all. Even if he did not have much weight in front of Cyrus, this was just a little maid.
"No means no."
Baby 5's tone was firm.
"And if I insist on seeing him?"
"Are you asking me for a favor?"
Baby 5 froze, and her tone softened a little.
"Baby 5, go help Robin with a massage."
Before Morgans could answer, Cyrus's voice rang out.
Baby 5 turned around and saw that Cyrus had already walked out, fully dressed.
"Okay!"
Baby 5 immediately nodded and turned to leave.
"So? What do you need from me?"
Once the little maid left, Cyrus looked at Morgans, whose eyes were suddenly a little evasive.
Cyrus did not care about Morgans's attitude earlier.
If this bird-man had come looking for him, then something must have happened.
"The Moby Dick has already approached the waters of Totto Land. At the latest, it will enter Totto Land's territory within a day or two."
Morgans did not hide anything and directly reported the news he had received.
"So Whitebeard is almost here."
Cyrus nodded, his tone showing no real fluctuation.
"No, hold on. Are you really planning to fight Whitebeard here? Whitebeard, Edward Newgate, was once known as the strongest man in the world! His strength is even more terrifying than Big Mom's.
"And Whitebeard's Devil Fruit is the Paramecia-type Tremor-Tremor Fruit. Its destructive power is like a natural disaster. He can trigger massive seaquakes and cause horrifying damage."
Morgans began explaining information about Whitebeard.
"So? You think I'm not his match?"
Cyrus beckoned with his hand, then turned and walked into a nearby house built from candy before asking in return.
"Uh, not exactly."
Morgans paused, then shook his head.
Whitebeard's strength needed no explanation. His reputation had been earned through battle.
Whether it was Kaido or Big Mom, both had fought Whitebeard in the past, and neither had gained an advantage.
Or rather, neither of them had been Whitebeard's match.
But Big Mom had lost to Cyrus. Not only Big Mom, but three others as well.
Judging by combat achievements alone, Cyrus was clearly stronger.
However, when people like that fought, the scale would be enormous.
Whitebeard was different from the others.
The destruction his ability could cause was simply too great.
If he fought without restraint, Morgans suspected Whitebeard could use the seaquakes created by his ability to destroy more than half the islands within Totto Land's waters.
After Morgans explained what he was thinking, Cyrus nodded as well.
"Whitebeard coming here was indeed beyond my original expectations. I had planned to delay things for a while, but if he's coming, then that saves me a good deal of time."
Cyrus sat with his back straight.
"If he wants war, then war it is."
"What if his reason for coming isn't to fight you?" Morgans suddenly asked.
The moment those words came out, Cyrus instinctively touched his chin.
"Probably not, right?"
Cyrus sounded a little uncertain.
"If he isn't coming to make trouble, why would he deliberately run all the way here? Don't tell me he came to congratulate me for taking down Big Mom?"
Morgans: "…"
"Should I send a News Coo to carry a message?"
After thinking for a moment, Morgans asked.
"No need. I'll wait for him here."
Cyrus waved his hand directly.
"Also, are you so free right now that you have nothing to do? Have you finished handling the cooperation between the newspaper and the Guild?"
Cyrus changed the subject.
In any case, the matter of Whitebeard was basically settled.
Unless he personally went over now, if Whitebeard wanted to come here, there were not many people who could stop him.
"Of course I don't need to handle that kind of thing personally."
When Morgans heard Cyrus ask about this, he immediately shook his head.
"If I had to do everything myself, then why would I bother supporting so many people?"
"That's true. Speaking of which, should I ask you for advice on how to manage the Hunter Guild?"
Hearing that, Cyrus nodded in full agreement.
"Haven't you already handed everything over to Crocodile? That guy has ability. Aside from his reputation not being very good, he doesn't have any major flaws."
Morgans spoke.
"However, Crocodile was once a pirate Super Rookie. His bounty rose extremely fast. Not long after he went to sea, his bounty was almost a hundred million.
"But after his battle with Whitebeard, Crocodile disappeared from the public eye. When he reappeared, he had become one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea."
Morgans looked at Cyrus, as though deliberately bringing up the matter between Crocodile and Whitebeard.
"So, do you want to tell this subordinate of yours about it? After all, he contributed quite a lot to the establishment of the Hunter Guild."
"There isn't enough time."
Cyrus shook his head.
Morgans naturally understood.
When Cyrus said there was not enough time, he meant that even if Crocodile learned the news, he would not be able to make it here in time.
"That may not necessarily be true."
Morgans smiled.
"After all, there are many ways to move quickly across the sea. And this is Totto Land. There are plenty of Eternal Poses that lead directly here."
As Morgans spoke, he sat down as well. However, with his bird body sitting on a chair, the sight looked somewhat strange.
"What would he do if he came? He still isn't Whitebeard's opponent. Even if he arrived, it wouldn't change anything."
Cyrus shook his head.
"Are you sure you don't want to ask for his opinion?"
Morgans stared directly at Cyrus.
"No need."
"Mm. That does sound like something a dictatorial chairman would say."
Morgans looked at Cyrus as he spoke, his beak opening into a strange bird-like smile.
"If you have something to say, say it directly. Don't hide barbs inside your words."
"I'm not. I just feel that the previous you didn't really seem like the leader of a force. Now, though, you finally have a little of that feeling."
Morgans's words made Cyrus pause. Then Cyrus leaned back slightly against the candy chair, narrowed his eyes, and looked at Morgans.
"Don't look at me like that. Although I've already decided to cooperate with you, I still hope my choice wasn't wrong. But frankly speaking, the previous you were not suitable as a partner.
"Or rather, you were not a very good partner."
Seeing Cyrus's expression, Morgans did not hide his thoughts.
"The person I want to cooperate with is someone who can truly oppose the World Government. And for a force like that, no matter how strong it is, it still needs a leader with firm conviction.
"But from the previous you, I didn't feel that.
"It was as if you didn't really care about any of this. That isn't a good sign. And someone like that is not a qualified leader."
Morgans said everything in one breath, then stared straight at Cyrus, waiting to see his reaction.
Although Cyrus was powerful, Morgans had some understanding of his personality by now. That was why he dared to say these things directly.
"Finished?"
Seeing Morgans stop speaking, Cyrus asked casually.
"Uh, finished."
Morgans nodded.
"What I do has not reached the point where others get to point fingers at it. If I decide to do something, then I will definitely accomplish it."
Cyrus sat upright, his eyes fixed on Morgans.
"I wasn't pointing fingers!"
Morgans opened his beak, then said that.
"We'll leave Whitebeard's matter as it is. I'll remain here for a while. If there's nothing important, don't disturb me."
Cyrus waved his hand.
Morgans nodded.
Just as he stood up, Cyrus spoke again.
"Also, tell me the Moby Dick's exact location."
"All right. I'll investigate the Moby Dick's exact position right away."
Morgans nodded.
Although they had discovered the Moby Dick earlier, ships were constantly moving, and their position changed every moment.
Fortunately, with the help of News Coos, tracking its location would be easy.
After Morgans left, Cyrus propped his face up with one hand, a thoughtful expression appearing on his face.
His personality truly was not suited to being the leader of a force.
He did not have that kind of conviction that made him feel he had to accomplish something no matter what.
Although he had been in this world for three years now, Cyrus had never really gone through any serious hardship, so his way of thinking had not changed much.
That was the key.
Not everyone possessed strong leadership.
In the eyes of some people, a powerful force itself was proof of powerful leadership.
But Cyrus knew what so-called leadership was supposed to look like.
"I'll just do my best."
Cyrus shook his head, his tone somewhat helpless.
