Mireva read Rangar's written invitation twice before folding it along the same crease.

Mireva studied the page once more before slipping it beneath one wing.

She did not bring a large delegation from the Belfry. The elderly observer and the route-keeper who had stayed at Forest Hidden through the first review period were already there, and Mireva wanted both of them at the table. The people still working the Belfry did not need another procession leaving simply because Forest Hidden had asked a question.
Cassandra accompanied Martin and Mireva as far as the academy boundary.
