AUTHOR'S POV
After a week Max was discharged from the hospital, she went back to her house with Alex and his parents..... Just as she entered a little boy ran towards her crying.....
Max's heart ached seeing him.... Se picked him up and he cried in her arms asking where she was all these days.... Max consoled him saying she was sick and didn't want him to get it so she stayed in the hospital for a few days....
Just then her Parents came with Erik...
" Oh haven't died yet?" asked Erik mockingly... Alex was about to retaliate but Max stopped him... She didn't want Alex to get in trouble because of her.....
Just then her mother came towards her and picked up the little one from her arms...
" You have to go to school Evan...." Said her mother..... " But I want to stay with Sister Max today.... I don't want to go to school..." Said little Evan....
" There is no use staying with her here.... She just know how to disgrace our family... Good for nothing.... If you stay with her you will also become like her.... You are going to school that's it!!! " Said her father....
Evan was about to say something when Max told him to go to school because she is also going to school.... Evan agreed reluctantly...
Without sparing a glance to Max the family of 4 left the house... Leaving Max, Alex and his parents there...
After getting changed and taking her things Max left with them for school.... Just as she entered the class she was greeted with a Hug... It was Nick ... She hugged him back ..
" Where have you been for the last one week... You didn't even tell me!!!" Said Nick ..
Max chuckled and looked at Alex and told him... " See I told you he is just like Evan.."
" Yeh I can see that .." said Alex and went inside the class.... Max told him she was busy with some family business.... And went inside the class...
There she saw him.... The love of her life... The Person who made her want to live despite all the pain she was suffering....
Marcus..... He came towards her and hugged her and kissed her forehead...
" Why didn't you tell me you were going for a week? You could have even just texted me... Do you know how worried I was and how much I missed you?" Said Marcus...
" Yeh yeh... We know how much you love her... Just keep it to yourselves no need to put a show in the middle of the classroom... There are many singles in the classroom show some respect you bastard!!" Said Alex...
Everyone laughed hearing Alex's protest....
Max apologized to Marcus for not informing him... " That day after reaching home father took me with him... He even took my phone that's why I couldn't contact you... You know how he is right? " Said Max....
" I don't understand why your dad always do this to you... You also have an older brother right? Let him manage all this why is he making you do all this?" Said Marcus...
Alex looked at Max worried.... Max didn't reply anything.....
" He must love you so much.... More than your older brother and must want you to inherit his business after him..." Said Marcus...
"Yeah...He must love you so much...!!" Said Nick....
" If this is what you consider love... I would rather die than live a life like that " said Alex...
Everyone looked at him confused... Max joked saying he is too lazy to work...
Days went by Max was getting criticized and hurt like always... She endured it all for that day.... The day she will tell Marcus, Nick and everyone everything and leave this hell....
The day before her Birthday.....
Max was writing her notes in the class when Alex came and sat beside her.... And put a small box infront of her.... She looked at the box then at him.... She asked him what it is... He said that it is a gift from him....
She reminded him that her birthday is tomorrow... He said he knows... And he has other gifts for her... But he wants to give her this now....
She opened the small box and there was a silver chain... With a small pendant engraved with " Fénix "
Max took it out of the small box and traced her finger on the word with a smile forming on her face.....
Alex smiled at her said " Mom got it for you... She also got it engraved... Fénix. means Phoenix in spanish.... Like it, you will also rise from the ashes...."
Max hugged Alex.... Thank Mom for me.... Tell her I will be the person she wants me to be one day.... Alex took the chain from her hands and helped her putting it on her neck...
Just then Marcus and the others came.... He caressed her hair.... Let's go said Marcus....
Both Alex and Max looked at him confused...
We have something planned for you said Kian... What is it asked Alex... They said it is a surprise and then Both of them went with them...
They reached at Marcus's villa.... What are we doing here? Asked Alex...
Marcus pulled Max close to him and said To celebrate my dear girlfriend's birthday of course.... Alex just smiled and shook his head....
They all went inside and started partying...
Max let her loose.... It was the first time she was enjoying and letting her other than when she was with Alex and his parents....
Alex was also enjoying with everyone.... They were drinking dancing and having the best time of their life.... After a while Max started feeling dizzy.... She stumbled on to Marcus....
Marcus held her tight.... You look drunk... I'll take you inside to get some rest.... Marcus told Alex,Nick and Kian that he is taking her inside....
After laying down on the bed Max started feeling dizzy and Hot.... Her skin started burning.... She understood something was wrong but she was too drunk to think what was happening.... She looked at Marcus and grabbed his hand....
She said " Marcus.. I am not feeling well... Something's not right...."
You are just too drunk... Close your eyes and sleep for a while... You will be okay..... Said Marcus...
Max wanted to protest but she felt too weak to talk and after a few seconds she lost her consciousness....
