Chapter 69: The World Mission
Pebbles stared at Erst looking dead serious.
"So you ditched your kin and ran for your life?" the green lizard asked with a similar serious look. However, beneath that serious look, there was a mild nervousness that only he knew.
Erst paused for a few seconds as he recalled the face of the ones he loved.
No matter how much he denied, he knew deep down that he had indeed, left them on their own.
Yet, now, all he had was another pitiful look and a cry for help.
"Please, if... if you'd come with me, and help me..."
Between each line there was a small pause as if the guy was trying not to cry.
"...my people would be saved... please..."
Pebbles did not respond immediately after hearing Erst's plea, and instead let the silence sit for a while as his gaze remained fixed on the injured wolf, as though he was trying to measure not just the words that had been spoken, but the weight behind them.
"…So," he finally said.
